Took my son for X-rays on a Tuesday and was assured he only had a sprain- but "they were required to send his X-rays to radiology" but as long as he wasn't in pain he was cleared to play- I was cautious and took him because he plays football. From dealing with my strep throat, to even going in for female issues, which on us females is hard at times, they have went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of in a professional comfortable way! People getting COVID tests all mixed in with us "regular sick" people. I went to get antibiotics for an ear infection and I feel like I left with COVID. They weren't cleaning or disinfecting anything. The waiting room had the chairs all crammed together. The only protocol they seemed to be following is wearing a mask. If it wasn't for the nurses, I would be leaving a 1 star rating. I went in to have my son evaluated for a possible break, doctor came in and mumbled something. (I couldn't understand him and could barely hear him). I had to ask him to repeat it and finally had to ask a nurse what was going on. He was in the room with us for no more than two minutes. Long story short, he couldn't read the x ray, put him in a straight splint (squeezing his hand with no regard to the injury and pain) that offered NO support and said radiation would call back. The nurse then came back in and took the time to wrap his hand properly, in an effort to immobilize it until we knew the results. I've been here twice. The second time ONLY because it's around the corner from me and I was desperate. I'm always waiting forever. The doctor always seems clueless and careless. This most recent time he prescribed me a steroid for something he didn't even test me for! Just assumed! Oh and when we went into the room where they check your weight, temp, etc. before your actual visit - someone was still in there when she walked me back and they didn't clean anything off in between us! I have been to this Urgent Care many times in the past and really haven't had any issues with them. Yesterday I went in and was told I would be charged $60 for a visit because I had not met my deductible. This Urgent Care is in-network for me, so per my Insurance, I should only have to pay a $20 co-pay! I told the receptionist I did not need to be seen and left. I scheduled an appointment with my PCP and guess what? I only had to pay my $20 co-pay! This seems so shady to me and I don't think this office knows how insurance works or they do and just choose to make their own rules. Nicole, Crystal, and Melissa are the best nurses and the only medical staff that keeps people from slapping this place with a law suit. I was here four times in the last four weeks, once with each son and the others with my husband. All times I left questioning the the brainless Dr. Sun(Something). I absolutely feel like calling a lawyer or someone to check this place out because of their Dr. While my husband was being seen, the dr told the nurse to leave the room.Thank God when i asked her to check my husband before we left she did so and re wrapped my husband with something more than a band aid and gauze. Please, If this dr is here make sure the above nurses are here to make sure you leave with proper care. Who manages this place? This dr needs to be FIRED. He is a fruit loop. I would give Zero Stars, if possible... Simply put, the worst medical care I've ever received ever. Don't let the fluent English fool you, Dr. Sami Elamin is a terrible doctor, who received his medical training in Khartoum, Sudan. My physician's office was not open on the weekend, and rather than go to the emergency room for flu-like symptoms, I decided to go to RiteMed Urgent Care. Big mistake... After a briefly describing my symptoms, Dr. Elamin postulated that I had a viral infection, without performing any cultures, and recommended 5-7 days of rest and fluids, and to take OTC medications like Nyquil. Now, this might pass as Medical Practice in the Third World, like Sudan, but here in the United States, I could have gotten this medical opinion from just about anybody's grandmother. Needless to say, I wasn't too happy about this diagnosis and treatment plan, and I let him know it. He then stated that he did not like my attitude, and was under no obligation to treat me. I responded, in kind, that my insurance provider was under no obligation to pay for his "alleged" medical services, should I call them to dispute the charges. He immediately went out to the front desk and told the staff to cancel the visit, and refund my co-pay. Needless to say, I went to another urgent care facility in Garden City, shortly thereafter, and saw a competent doctor, who performed strep and flu cultures (both negative), diagnosed me with probable viral infection, but to be on the safe side, prescribed me an antibiotic, along with other medications to relieve my flu-like symptoms. Less than 24 hours later, I was already feeling significant relief... Avoid RiteMed Urgent Care, and Dr. Sami Elamin, like the PLAGUE... read more

We ended up here around 8pm on a weekend when two other places we tried were already closed. The receptionist was very nice and efficient. I went in for an allergic reaction and she and the doctor both kept checking on me even when they couldn't get to me yet, to make sure I wasn't having any trouble breathing. They treated me quickly and we're all so nice and caring. They were also very good to my daughter who was a little nervous about mommy getting a shot. I've had two different experiences, with two different doctors, at this clinic. First time was when I, myself, had an ear infection. It was an inner ear, which requires oral antibiotics (if you were unaware), and was given ear drops. The doctor repeatedly asked me if I minded going on antibiotics, which I was there for (knowing before I even arrived I did have an ear infection!), and I repeatedly said I would like them. The wait was supposed to be fifteen minutes to get back into a room, but it took AT LEAST an hour. Then it took about another 45 minutes, with no patients ahead of me (as the nurses said), for the doctor to come in! And then he gave me the ear drops, which seemed strange as my ear was so swollen that I couldn't even hear out of it, so how would the drops get down where they needed to be? Needless to say, I went to my primary care physician, who said my ear was so infected that she didn't understand how it had gotten that way. I'm not a swimmer, and I hadn't swam in a long time. But she had to pull on my ear AND push into it to be able to see. This was after being on antibiotics for days. Now onto the visit today. I had a female doctor, though I couldn't tell you her name. And actually my mom was the patient this time. She went in due to a cough that just kept getting worse, and then she began to cough up phlegm and other things. So we took her up to RiteMed, as it is the closest urgent care to our house. She has bronchitis, as I suspected. Now, I'm only in nursing school, I can't possibly know more than a doctor, can I? Of course not. So why is it, that having bronchitis, that she received no antibiotics? My mom cannot take steroids due to her having a heart condition (and steroids could potentially make the heart condition worse), but she can take antibiotics. The doctor did not want to give her antibiotics. My sister and I were infuriated, but we accepted it and decided we'd call her primary tomorrow to ask for even a Z-Pak. This doctor did, however, give her Flonase, cough syrup, and Zyrtec. Good enough. My mom would finally be able to sleep (after 3 nights of just barely sleeping) thanks to the cough syrup. It's 9 o'clock the same night. My sister left maybe fifteen minutes ago for the pharmacy. There is the Flonase, but no cough syrup, no Zyrtec. We can deal with the lack of Zyrtec, I take it almost daily and so I have a supply of the OTC meds. But the cough syrup? That's perhaps the most important part, aside from ANTIBIOTICS. You need sleep to be able to get better, she can't sleep due to the coughing, so why didn't she call in the cough syrup? She called in the Flonase, but yet no cough syrup like she said she would? So we have called back up and have to wait for the remaining prescription. This is a long review, I know. But I've had TWO bad experiences in about three months at the same location, with two different doctors. I'm not a nurse yet, I'm only in school right now, but I still realize and know that for BRONCHITIS you need ANTIBIOTICS. Especially for someone who has a pacemaker/defibrillator implanted in her chest due to heart problems, and can EASILY go downhill when sick like this! I noticed her fever THREE days ago, and we were on vacation so we decided to wait until we got home to go to the doctors. Within three days she developed bronchitis, if that gives you an idea of how easily she gets sick. Do not waste your time here. They do not seem to really care, or even know what they're talking about. UPDATE: Since we've called, the doctor has already left and they took at least a half hour to call in the cough syrup. Unacceptable assessment and diagnosis of my elderly Mother. I called ahead of time from Texas explaining the symptoms and concerns of possible flu, she agreed with my concerns and said she should be seen by a doctor. I convinced my Mom to go in and reassured her that it takes 5 minutes for a flu test or at least be assessed for proper treatment if something else. She called me after being seen and they do NOT even test for flu and all they did was push on her forehead and cheeks and diagnosed her with a sinus infection... WHAT??? Would have been nice if the receptionist had told me they do not have a flu test before I convinced her to go at 9pm feeling horrible!!! Slowest urgent care I've ever been to in my life. There was only 2 people ahead of me when I got here over an hour ago and 1 of those people is still waiting to be called back. Meanwhile people are coming out of the exam rooms with no one being called back. However when I was called back the Dr actually listened to me and what symptoms I had been having and gave me antibiotics as opposed to the last urgent care doc that sent me home with nothing but a misdiagnosis.
