It saddens me to update this review but some co-workers and I got lunch from this truck a week or two ago. I received 3 semi dry pieces of brisket and not even a handful of chips for $10 minus tip. Needless to say I was starving until dinner. There's been a few other trucks that are dishing out some great Q' and portions and Rite on Que is no longer on Que for me. read more

My roommate is friends with the owner's daughter, and she highly recommended this truck to me, since she knows I love my food trucks. They come regularly to my work, so when I saw they were coming one day and I had no lunch, I decided to try them out. They also follow me on Instagram, so I wanted to give back for the love they give me on there. After vieiwing the menu, I decided to go with the Mac Daddy brisket, which comes with brisket, mac and cheese, and chips. The owner immediately recognized my name and started talking to me about my job, how I was doing, and was happy that I was finally able to make it out to the truck. The food came out immediately, and it was delicious! I love the buttery taste of the brisket and how smoothly you are able to cut through the meat. The mac and cheese was extra cheesy and you could tell it was homemade, not processed. The chips were crispy and probably didn't help with the other carbs I had in the pasta, but that is okay. Rite On Que puts out bbq and sides that are pure freakin perfection. It's like Jesus himself is the pitmaster. We had the brisket which is awesome, the candied ribs which were hands down the best ribs I have consumed in my entire life, and the absolute best macaroni and cheese I have ever devoured, so good I tried to eat it faster than my husband and children so I could eat the majority of it. I have had Rite on Que a couple times now and love it! There's something about food truck/ road side BBQ that I like more than restaurants. Probably my favorite Food Truck!!! I had the Double L Brisket. It was ok. Kind of moist, somewhat tender, and very bland. It seems these guys don't apply any rub or seasonings to their brisket, which is a shame. If you've had great brisket, it really stands out. This brisket did not stand out. This was not great brisket. It was ok brisket. The Bama Chips (potato chips) that came with it were tasty and the service was quick and friendly. The sauces were pretty standard... no spicy option though. Right on Que BBQ food truck is the best BBQ I've had in Jacksonville...ever! It beats any brick and mortor and all other food trucks that claim to be BBQ. They are very generous with their portions and the food is heavenly. From the Mac n Cheese that will make your taste buds jump to the turkey that is so tender you won't need a knife, to the amazing sauces. The brisket is tender and full of flavor, so I was told. I don't eat beef or pork, but the people who did were in their glory. The owners are very friendly and actually have conversation with patrons. I will be seeking out this truck for my next BBQ meal!! Now y'all know I love my queue and I am not one to bash it food truck if something's not great I just gotta stay when it's not great you my coworker try this truck today. On face value everything looked good I got the candy ribs and the brisket with coleslaw the coleslaw was mayonnaise-based and was the worst coleslaw I ever had. I can't put my finger on it but my coworker agreed we both did not like it. The ribs and brisket were very tender and the meat cam clear off the bone. My only issue was flavor the outer coating was good but the rest bland. Don't get me wrong they didn't taste bad but it didn't taste good enough to make me want to keep my leftovers. Rite on Que speaks volumes in the bbq world in jax. Now there are a fair amount of bbq trucks out in this town. Most are not very good and just haven't learned how to serve good Q for a few hours. These guys have not only learned how to smoke good meat but to keep it moist and flavorful during their lunch service. It all starts with a stick burning only smoker. That's where you get the real smoke flavor. Not some set it and forget it and thrown in a stick on tuesday and thrusday's smokers that most use here. Now I have seen them out and to tell you the truth I'm always leery about trying new Q trucks. Everyone that has a truck started out cooking for friends and family and even a church or two. Everyone tells them that they need to open a place and then all of the friends never come in. Ok these guys do it right. I stopped in the other day and got a custom protein platter. I want meat on my first trip. If your meat is no good then I need not come back for your sides. I got the brisket, pulled pork (not chopped), and the turkey. All had a good smoke flavor (hence a stick burning smoker) and was all tender. The turkey (not done by many) was moist and done right. The pulled pork also had good flavor and it was cooked on point not cooked to death like some tree folk that I know of. The brisket is also flavorful and moist and tender. This whole meal was really good and now for the big test. Can they do it again and again. We will see. read more

Excellent! Went to visit family in Bartram Springs and it was food truck Friday. Had the turkey and brisket with beans. The turkey had excellent flavor, not a typical overly salty piece of dry turkey. Probably the best turkey I have had in a while. The brisket was fabulous. Moist, tender, not too fatty with an excellent smoke ring. The beans were very flavorful. I found their BBQ sauce to be tasty and their own. read more

Incredible. You will not be disappointed when you try anything off the menu. I came in from Atlanta with my wife on vacation and I had the candied ribs with mac and cheese. It was a big portion too. You know BBQ is done right when it comes right off the bone but is still juicy and tender. The folks who make it are really nice people and it seems like they have been smoking BBQ for years. I recently had the pleasure of trying out Rite On Que at the Orange Park Food Truck Take Over. First thing I noticed is how beautiful the truck is, clean inside and out. Then the smell of that beautiful BBQ kissed my nose and I had a great feeling about what I was about to dive into. The pit masters Larry and Rick hooked me up with a meat platter of pulled pork, sliced Brisket and ribs. Ribs were tender not too smoky and had a great flavor, the pulled pork was very tasty and not dried out at all. The Brisket.... Delicious, juicy well seasoned and smoked very well.
