WARNING: I believe Rite Window in Woburn, MA operates a calculated bait-and-switch scam. Prior to January 7, 2026, they called me relentlessly to schedule a consultation. Salesperson Trevor DiTullio came to my home with a polished presentation about being a family business with outstanding reviews, specifically mentioning that Mass Save refers clients to them to establish credibility. During the consultation, I asked Trevor a direct question about basement windows below grade level that require excavation. I explicitly asked if Rite Window handles this work. This was the determining factor in whether I would sign a contract. Trevor looked me in the eye and stated: "we'll dig out the dirt and add in window wells." Based solely on that promise, I signed the contract and authorized a hard credit inquiry on January 7th. The contract had a 3-day rescission period ending January 10th. Immediately after it expired, Rite Window called to schedule measurements for January 13th. The timing is not coincidental. Today, the measurement technicians arrived and flatly stated Rite Window does not remove dirt or perform excavation work. The technicians were shaking their heads, clearly aware the salesperson had lied. After admitting they could not do the work that was the entire basis for my contract, they insisted on measuring other basement windows because they didn't want to waste their time. I had to explicitly refuse. The whole point was the two below-grade windows. I immediately made multiple attempts to reach management. The company that called relentlessly before my signature has become completely unreachable. Trevor eventually called back and admitted he told me they would dig out the dirt. He stated he would cancel the order. When I demanded to speak with a manager, he said he would "see what he could do" about having someone call back. Hours later, no call. They also refuse to provide email addresses for management, deliberately preventing written documentation. The pattern is calculated: Use Mass Save's name for credibility. Call relentlessly to get the consultation. Tell customers whatever they need to hear to sign. Wait for the rescission period to expire. Schedule the next appointment and reveal the lies. Make management unreachable. This is, in my opinion, organized fraud designed to trap customers after the legal cancellation window closes. I authorized a credit inquiry based on promises Trevor admitted he made. The technicians confirmed the services do not exist. I am filing complaints with the Better Business Bureau, Massachusetts Attorney General, and disputing the fraudulent credit inquiry. The Mass Save claim is a sales tactic. The family business story is a script. The promises are lies. The timing is intentional. Do not give this company your business, signature, or trust. Find an honest contractor. read more

I have called to service a window that keeps sliding down and doesn't hold open. Window is only two years old. No communication from the service department, called and left online request and nothing. So much for a lifetime warranty. The product options were explained to me, including custom option opportunities, in detail that I could understand. I felt Jay help educate me just enough to help me feel informed enough to make decisions on a financially expensive project. Every question I had was happily received and quickly addressed. Jay was even willing to go the extra mile and send me a sample product, as well as help me present to the historical society, so they would approve my project, when the odds were not in my favor. I sourced Rite Window because they had good reviews, like some of the other Boston area competitors. I narrowed my search based on their pricing and product quality, but I chosen them because of Jay's attention to detail, consistent communication and professionalism. Rite window replaced 5 windows in my breezeway and kitchen. Installed the screen and small brackets that hold screen in place broke when I tried to remove them to clean windows. Found cut off nail that installers must have put in where one must have broke during their installation. Promised to replace sill but just covered with some ? caulking that is now peeling to expose the old rotted sill. Called a month ago and said they would fix but now no response. read more

I was returning customer to Rite Windows. I had 6 windows that were hard to fit replaced by them and it was easy breezy. When I needed an entry door and some storm doors we decided to go with them. Our salesman Jay was a pleasure to work with but the installation of our front storm door went from bad to worse. After two days, on a windy day, the door was pulled off it's hinges. Someone very nice, Artie, came out to fix it. He was here over three hours. When he left the door was in good working order and some cosmetic work was done.I was still not happy with the door and Jay promised he would fix this. Two men came out and proved the customer is not always right. They did offer to make the door better. I was then asked to do a review by some company they use and I spoke honestly. I was then called and asked to rewrite my review and if I didn't someone was not getting a bonus and I was not getting my tweaks to the door.We will find someone to help with our door but I hope Artie got his bonus because he was a bright spot in all of this. read more

Promises made and promises not kept. Damaged or missing screens but windows were still installed. They were supposed to replace a window sill that was rotted. Instead they just covered it up. Was promised they would insulate around the windows during installation to fill in air pockets. None whatsoever was insulated. Very shoddy job. read more

There was the most terrible experience with this company, the team of workers changed several times, no one could not install the windows properly. The work on mistakes has lasted for 1.5 years and every time something happens. The price of my estimate was astronomical. 3 doors...25,000. Something in me said "rip-off". And that price was their "discounted" rate.

We purchased a shower from you and this is the 3rd within a year we are having problems. The shower doors do not stay closed causing water to spray out on the floor and the caulking is breaking apart. We are disappointed to say the least with this garbage product. We shopped around for months before deciding on the "Kohler Bath Remodel" product. sold and installed by Rite Window in Woburn. The salesman was good and a well-trained liar. He got the whole show done in a hour, which at the time was appreciated. I was a bit concerned reading the reviews about issues that develop at about the 3 year mark - I guess we'll have to see on mine. Here's what they sell you and what you actually get. Sales person: (1) "The luxstone slabs are very heavy, about 250 lbs, and need two people to carry." The sample (about 1 square foot) he gave us to look at was crazy thick and heavy. The actual product out of the van during install, however, was maybe 3/16" in thickness, maybe the thickness of 4 pieces of copy paper, and the whole sheet can be lifted by one person easily with one hand. Score that one as a lie - they show you a product that is purposely different than the actual. Salesman: "We are exclusive to New England, don't use external contractors, and all installers are 'our own'", which to a customer suggests that they are Rite Window employees. Actually, my install was done by contractors - they pulled up in the plain white unlabeled van, and just through general discussions, do lots of different jobs. No issues with the install per se, but, yeah, score that as a lie. Salesman: "The glass we use is hotel grade, double thick 3/8 inch, and they weigh 200 lbs each". Yeah, not so much. Standard thin grade and maybe 45 lbs at most. My biggest concern was the quality of the fixtures, and the salesman made it known that the fixtures can only be the "top of the line" Koehler fixtures "direct from their Wisconsin plant". This made me feel better. What actually went-in to the install, however, was a plastic control valve mechanism. So much plastic, that these fixtures are similar to the ones at Home Depot right at the very end of the faucet aisle - that $12 faucet. I expected the handle to be silver-painted plastic. Yeah, not exactly top-of-the-line. Wow, how many lies are we up to by now? I lost track. The base is a basic 3'X4' cheapo fiberglass piece you can buy right now from home depot.com ($189) and the ceiling is acrylic sheeting from JoAnne's, maybe $15. In summary, my daughter's EZ Bake oven is made of better materials than this crap. The thing came out very small. The installer told me, after the job was done, that he had to take space away because he only had 3 foot sheets of luxstone, and to make them fit he made the shower smaller. They couldn't even bring the right sized panels to do the job right. Going in to this, I was more concerned about the quality of the install and I thought from the sales tactics that the product itself was top-quality. In this case, the install and the materials are complete garbage. Without the glass, the materials maybe cost them $400 in total. With the glass, it's maybe $2,000. So now I have a beautiful home with a cheap and flimsy master shower that's smaller than the one they replaced. You don't even want to know how much I paid for this garbage. If I am extra careful, minimize the dropped shampoo bottles, don't hit the wall with my elbow when washing my hair, which I am sure will break the luxstone, I think maybe I have something that MIGHT last me 5-10 years. My dissatisfaction was initially met with insincere concern. "We'll try to make this right". They first promised to re-install the whole thing, then, day-by-day, they dwindled-down to where they ended - "You got what we install, period". At one point, they wanted to do me that "favor" of removing the most expensive part of the install, the doors, and throw me a pittance, and go myself to Portland Glass for an install. The advantage to this is that they could recover the most expensive part, leave me with the $400 of heap install, and maximize their profits even more I went in to this thinking I would get a 25 year shower, but the product is inferior and the price is exorbitant. I am a fool. I paid way too much and got way too little. Stay far away from these fraudsters. read more

Right window illegally charged my credit card $11,000 for an unfinished project. They charged me the second half of a jet Kohler walk-in bathtub installation even though they never finished it. And I told them I would not sign off on the form that they had finished it because we didn't have any water or a working bathtub for 5 to 6 days for it disabled incontinent man. I begged and begged everyone at right window to help me and they told me it was my problem. My thought and I had to fix it. They took no accountability that they never tested their product. They were hostile and condescending and took absolutely no accountability. And they still at 11,000 from me illegally because I refused to sign the completion form The only reason I did not report it as fraud is because I didn't want them to be responsible for me having to cancel my credit card and then get a new one. These people do not care about their customers. They will accept jobs and not finish it and then charge you illegally. Only reason I gave one star is because I had to, to be able to post! Patrick Richards came to my home and was very aggressive and very pushy. When on your website it says that will not happen. We would have done it but after Patrick made us feel very uncomfortable we plan to go with someone else. Excellent job on my windows. I refinished my basement so I can work at home during the pandemic. I found out that my turn-of-the-century windows were useless (19th century!). Throughout the winter it was unbearably cold. I hired Rite Window. The price was decent and they stayed in touch with me throughout the process. The installation was great. They replaced all the windows in just one morning and did a thorough cleanup. It did take a while to get them, and the cold weather is gone, but now I can open my basement windows and air it out because they have screens (couldn't do that before). On March 1,2022 Docket # 2149SC001060 Framingham district court hearing ruled in my favor for the damages. The original salesperson was prompt and answered all my questions and understood i was looking for a quote to compare to the other companies so i wasn't going to give him an answer quickly. 1 follow up call about a week later (which was reasonable). i called back after two weeks to give them the go ahead and things moved along well from there. as far as installation goes, generally it went well , 6 windows installed in a 150+ year old house. a few scrapes in the wood floors, and the finish work on wrapping the wood exterior parts was not great. i will have to go out with some snips and a hammer to make it look better. this is why only 4 out of 5. also the white metal wrap isn't really white to match the house siding so not as great looking as i would have hoped. let's see if they read this and offer to look at it and do anything. i will update if they do. read more

First of all, I'd researched replacement windows for months, for my new ranch home with the original, crappy, "double pane" windows from 1998 and couldn't have made a better decision than Rite Window. I got 9 windows with a FAR superior warranty for the same price as 5 from Newpro! Plus, I threw a Bootcamp Bon Voyage party for my daughter and they went above and beyond to make my windows happen a week ahead of their projected date, prior to the party. Joe, their sales rep is amazing! He's professional, personable and if you've met with other companies, he's a breath of fresh air! No pushy tactics or over- the- top "special deals". We talked over coffee and my dogs loved him. Need I say more? I also had the pleasure of speaking with Elizabeth and she's an absolute doll! Told me to keep her cell number in my phone in case I needed anything. When Cheryl called to schedule, I swear I've known the woman my entire life! We got right to business and didn't even take 5 minutes but we were laughing and it was just a great conversation! Anyway, three guys showed up maybe 10 minutes early and had all 9 windows done in less than 3 hours! They were so careful of everything, very helpful with last- minute stuff I forgot to take care of and were just super friendly! I had laid down moving blankets to protect my hardwood floors and area rugs but the guys laid drop cloths throughout the entire house, taped and draped over furniture, even in the bathroom! They protected my stuff meticulously! The only non- standard was my picture window and I was really, pleasantly surprised that the side windows were much wider than I'd expected. It makes my living room look bigger and those ugly grids are gone! No more cold air leaking in and outside noise has decreased significantly. They cleaned, swept, folded their drop cloths, Shane showed me the locking, tilt-in and venting functions and they were gone before noon. I'd laid out snacks for them but they never stopped for a minute so I sent them off with a doggie bag. I'm so happy with my new windows, I'd have cooked a 4- course meal for them! read more

Buyer beware and be knowledgeable .. We have had all our windows done by right window. They have a good warranty. I love the single dining room and bedroom windows. The first time we purchased they were fast to come out & put them in and I was so happy. Our second purchase was to update our living room and so we went with the bay window. And I couldn't be more unhappy. Three stars is only because the back of the house windows look nice, if it was solely regarding this window it would be 2 stars. They are very delayed right now several weeks longer than quoted. And what they don't tell you before you purchase is that the frame is 100% vinyl and this does not allow for you to hang blinds without drilling into the vinyl and voiding your warranty. Unlike the frame of the single pain windows which remains wood, the slats between the bay are also vinyl and not wood. Now our house looks bright during the day but which is nice that means the whole neighborhood can see in at night. Had we known this ahead of time we would have purchased a different type of bay window or just left the old style windows in place and updated them. Very disappointed and if it were a returnable product it would definitely go back. Not sure what else to do but voice my frustration on here. Anyone have ideas?!?. read more

We purchased 5 windows from Rite Window. The sales guy was great. He had color chips to match our existing windows and we signed the contract. About 5-6 months later the windows came in. Now the bad part..... The two guys who were there to install them said they did not have the man power to do it and just left! I called the company and they sent out two more guys. Thats when we found out two of the windows were wrong. Also the color didn't match the sample the salesman showed us. They GM said they couldn't guarantee the color! What .....Next the price to get triple pane windows weren't much more so we decided to get them. The only problem was it made the rooms very dark. This is something the salesperson never mentioned. So the two new windows that were wrong we had them do double pane instead. When they wrapped the windows they used the wrong color wrap (white instead of tan) and they had to order the correct color Which took more time. Then with the new correct color wrap on another guy had to come back to caulk the windows. You got it, white caulk!!! What a joke. They have been to my house 5 separate times already for only 1 window and 1 patio door and the job still is not done. The production managers changed over this past 4-month course of trying to get these window/doors done right, and there was no communication between them when the switch happened, causing more delays than necessary. The only positive part of this experience was my sales guy Teddy who I met with when choosing a company was phenomenal, and he has even helped me through the frustration of multiple incompetencies, which is above and beyond his job of a sales specialist. This is a saga please bare with me. If negative stars were possible, Rite Window deserves it. May 30th...Once the sales rep left our home with the deposit. Nothing and I mean nothing went "RITE". From a "highly trained and experienced window installer" Phil from Needham, calling to arrange an appointment to come out and measure three windows: 1 double hung 6 over 6 in the garage a 4x6 picture window and the custom half round. The "highly trained and experienced window installer" is told that he"ll need at least an 18 foot ladder to measure the two windows in the foyer and upon showing up, doesn't even have a ladder. Then having to have a supervisor come out and do the "actual" measurements, 10 days later, pushing the possible installation date farther out. From delays on the production, to having multiple calls between my wife and Cheryl in the install department telling us the custom window is "on the truck and due in tomorrow" to then, "sorry, it wasn't on the truck as we expected." From an installation expectation as we were told of 8 to 10 weeks to 17 weeks. Now to the day of "INSTALL": Wednesday September 23...Crew arrives and are going to remove the old window in the garage and install the new window. Siding is removed, the old window is pulled and the new window goes in, sort of...it doesn't fit!! The window isn't the "RITE" size!! It's to small. It wasn't measured correctly!! Back in goes the old window, back up goes the siding... Onto the picture window and custom half round: Siding get removed old windows get pulled new picture and custom half round go up the ladders and into place, but....SAME S#!& !! The windows don't fit!! Remember a supervisor measured the windows! Doing it "RITE"? A full 2 inches too small for the existing opening. Down goes the new...back up goes the old...just tacked into place. The lead installer, Jack says they'll be back, the company will make this "RITE"! The install crew packs up and leaves, but before leaving the lead installer Jack tells me he is going to let the main office in Woburn know "What's what!" Two hrs later I get a call from I believe a Dennis asking how things are going along with the install. I ask Dennis if he has spoken to Jack? "No why?" Asks Dennis. I reply the windows don't fit! Jack has left. Dennis quickly hangs up after apologizing. Dennis calls back about 45 mins later and starts the spin cycle about how Rite will make it "Rite" I tell Dennis I would greatly appreciate a call from someone in the corporate office about this mess. I hear nothing from anyone for two days. I research the company and find out the name of one of the owners Ted Castonguay. So Friday afternoon I call the corporate office and speak with one of their customer service reps, ask to speak with Ted. I'm told Ted is not in the office. No problem, I leave my name, phone number and tell the rep, let Ted know I'm not a happy customer and Ted can call anytime. To my great surprise I get a call from Ted about 15 mins later. It's a Friday afternoon, maybe someone to solve this issue. The voice on the commercials...yeah that voice is the voice on the phone. They had a meeting about my window situation, I'm told... They want to make it "RITE", I'm told... Ted asks what do I want, I tell Ted I want my windows. Ted tells me it will be 16 weeks for a new custom window to be produced and in the same breath asks me what will it take for me to walk away, because no matter what "RITE" does going forward my wife and I will not be happy. Again I tell him I want the windows and ask if there is anyway of getting a priority put on the custom built window. No is the answer, the factory will not do it. I tell Ted I find it extremely interesting that a guy that does so much business with the window manufacturer doesn't have the "juice" to get something done when he needs it. So it comes down to this...I ask Ted, what are you offering....Ted says 2x the deposit and I hope that you won't write a poor review.I say I'll agree the compensation but not the review... on condition that he send one of his people out to my home to fully secure the windows in the foyer and seal the edges against drafts as it was done originally before the windows were removed and put back by his crew. Ted agrees...Jack the installer comes back out and makes "RITE" what he and crew didn't do when they had to put back the original window. Once Jack leaves, I call Ted directly and let him know that Jack completed the job as agreed. Ted says he is sending me a check for 2x the deposit as agreed. The check arrived a few weeks ago and we went and deposited it "RITE" away. When a business tells you that they would rather pay you off to get rid of you than solve the problem that they created you just have to ask the question why? BTW Ted, Renewal got it "RITE" the 1st time they measured and installed their windows and it didn't take them 16 weeks or longer. I await your rebuttal Ted. read more

We had a GREAT salesperson come out to help us with the door. We were assured multiple times they could do the job. We paid a deposit. Suddenly, with no warning, the deposit was returned on the card. I called and emailed the office multiple times with no response. Finally, after hounding the poor salesperson, the salesperson let me know they did not want the work because it was custom. They knew the entire time it was a shorter door. There is a commercial door already in the spot. Wasted months of our time. 3 starts solely goes to the sales individual. I got quotes from three other window companies and Rite window had the best prices for five basement hopper windows. They also have a lifetime guarantee and 0% financing for 3 years. I was all ready to sign up with a different company and the communication was horrendous. I had to email and call several times, first to get my quote after the in-home visit, and second for them to send me the financial paperwork so we could get the process started. After three weeks of trying, I decided to call Rite window. I am so glad that I did. The sales person was knowledgeable friendly and courteous. (I forget his name) After the in-home visit, I dealt directly with David Ridley, who was very impressive with how fast he would respond to my emails. Every time I would check in to see if our custom made windows were in yet he would get back to me right away. They did take a little longer than the 10 week estimate but we were warned that might happen due to the demand of home improvements since the pandemic started. He made the whole process painless and stress-free. Doug was here to do the installation by himself and did a phenomenal job. He also was courteous and efficient. I let him into the basement and he never bothered me while I was working from home until the work was complete and cleaned up and he was leaving. I highly recommend Rite window over any other window company you see on tv or online. Thank you Dave, Doug and the rest of your company for showing me that home improvements doesn't have to be an expensive, stressful nightmare. read more
