Doyon's did a great job with us. When we did our kitchen remodel, we swapped out all appliances. When our washer and dryer died, they guided me to the best system to handle really large loads, and I love the units. They are our go to for all appliances. Only thing negatively I can say, is that sometimes it takes a while to get their service guys over. But that's because they are one of the only places that service their entire line. To be able to call them when I have an issue, and have them look up the record and tell me if I am in warranty, is great. Their service people are top notch. I usually get Adam Doyon. He's great. Highly recommend them. Be sure to visit them, as they are a smaller family owned business. Don't buy appliances at Best Buy, or Home Depot. The quality at Doyon's is much higher. Unless you definitely just want the absolutely cheapest unit possible. read more

I've been 2x. I went last year to shop for washer/dryer that I was unable to go forward with. My sales experience then was good - sales guy was helpful and knowledgeable. Second try a few days ago not so much. The sales guy was either having a bad day or should not be let loose on customers. He showed me one machine and when I asked to compare, he was put out. He didn't answer questions civily. Frankly it was weird. I left there never wanting to return. I am not a fan of Home Depot, but others suggested it, including my contractor who said he buys his appliances from there - so off I went. I must say I was pleasantly surprised. I dealt with 2 women who knew what they were talking about, helped me save some $ and offered excellent AND PLEASANT advice. Perhaps Doyon's should look into hiring a few women?? We found our experience on the sales floor to be great and we are pleased with our purchase. However. the delivery and installation was disappointing and frustrating. We got an automated phone call the day before telling us delivery would be between noon and 2pm on the following day. When we returned home at 11:30 on the that day there was a message on our home phone that said they tried to deliver that morning at 10:45 and since we were not home we would need to reschedule. Issue #1: Why give a two-hour window when it is not going to be honored? It was delivered two days later. The delivery arrived in the two hour window and they were polite and friendly. Issue #2: Installation was not complete. The machine water and drain hoses were hooked up and the machine was started for a test run...but the rubber feet were not installed---causing a large scratch on our floor and the machine was not leveled. I noticed these issues after they left, so I installed the rubber feet and leveled the machine myself. I will repair/paint the floor in the near future. read more

I purchased a full kitchen appliance set from Doyons when I was renovating my kitchen and was excited to do so as I enjoy working with small businesses. The sales process went just fine however the delivery continually was delayed they would call me and tell me the appliances were in and then call me back and tell me that they were not. During the sales process they had told me that they would come and service the equipment for no charge the first year. When I had to call them to come and take a look at the dishwasher for a problem that was being had they charged me a fee Even though they said they would not and stated some excuse as to why their promise did not apply. Since purchasing the dishwasher three years ago I have had to have three repairs totaling nearly $1000 which would were not covered by the company or the warranty. In the future I will never do business with Doyons again and I recommend that you do not either. There are plenty of other small businesses which will do a better job. read more

I have been very unhappy with Doyon's. We wanted to go with a local appliance store to support local/small businesses, but we wish we had chosen Lowe's or Home Depot for our new washer and dryer. The other reason we chose Doyon's was so that we wouldn't have to do the installation ourselves, but that hasn't been the case. We have had a lot of issues with the deliveries of the new units; some of these issues, I admit, are attributable to our old home. That said, everything I have read about appliance delivery and installation tells me that the issues we have had are mostly lack of experience and/or laziness from the crews. The technical and product issues aside, my biggest complaint about this company is the way in which they set up their deliveries. Doyon's has set up several deliveries with me and has not once contacted me before to see if I'm available on the day of their choice. Sure, on the day before, I get a text message telling me what time they are arriving the next day. That's fine but not incredibly helpful when we have already had to change our life schedules to accommodate them. This is Customer Service 101. At the very least, a company can propose the delivery day of its choice and then offer the customer the option to suggest an alternate day. This review is for the North Andover Doyon's. read more

Years ago I purchased a stove from them. The rack was bend and didn't slide easily. Doyons told us they ordered us a new one, we never received it. I figured that was a one time overlook. Recently, I ordered a dishwasher and the door was scratched. I called and customer service called me back and even emailed me that they will let me know when the replacement cover was in. I never got the call. A few months later I went in because my son needed to buy a washing machine, I mentioned the dishwasher cover and they looked it up, acknowledged that I did call. They said they would get that ordered right away. Six months later, I haven't heard from them. I have been ghosted 3 times by them. Anyone can sell appliances but it's the customer service that shows if they care about their customers. And 'no' did not get a washer from them and I will never go back. read more

Horrible customer service. One of the salespeople was rude to me on the phone when I called to inquire when our installation would be. I still had not received a phone call to schedule 8 days after purchase. I was initially told they would install within 2 weeks and then after the purchase was made it suddenly became well..."2-3 weeks is normal." I texted Synergy in Burlington and within 10 minutes bought the dishwasher I needed at a lower price and with an install date of less than a week away. Doyons be like Synergy. In November of 2023, we purchased a new dishwasher from Doyon's Appliance. We paid $350 for installation and $35 for an installation kit. Immediately after installation, we started to get little pieces of black rubber in the catch screen of our kitchen faucet. The same water lines feed the dishwasher and faucet. This would slow down the water pressure, but it was not much more than an inconvenience since I could simply clean out the screen. On January 3, however, the water pressure became a trickle, and there was nothing on the screen. This rendered the kitchen faucet useless. I called the Doyon Appliance service number and spoke with Nicole the next day. Nicole listened to my concern but said she would need to speak to her manager about the issue. She called a couple of hours later and said something to the effect of (paraphrasing): "My manager says this sounds like a plumbing issue, and you will have to call a plumber. It sounds like it `is probably' a failed valve gasket, but this has nothing to do with the dishwasher. You can call the plumber that we used, but you do not have to." I pushed back on two fronts. First, how do you know for sure that it was part of the existing plumbing that failed? Second, I explained that I hired Doyon's, and Doyon's hired the plumber, not me, and that the problem likely occurred due to your installation. Nicole responded with something like (paraphrasing): "We contract out for installations. It is a plumbing issue. You need to call a plumber." She then gave me the name of the plumber that installed the dishwasher, Bob Pespisa, and his telephone number. I called the plumber. There was no answer, so I left a voicemail. This was still on the 4th of January. Later that day, I called Nicole back after more fully thinking about the issue. This time, I was more adamant that I hired them to do a job. Whether they subcontracted out part of that job was up to them. But they should make this right. It wasn't my job to track down the person they subcontracted. She transferred me to sales in the Bedford office. I asked for the salesman my wife had originally dealt with, but he was not in on Thursdays. The salesman I spoke to was very responsive and said he would discuss this with his manager, Joe Ponte, and Joe would give me a callback. Shortly after, Joe called me back and said he spoke with the plumber, and the plumber would call me that evening (Thursday, January 4). I never received a call. On Monday, January 8, I called and left Joe a voicemail, saying that I had never received a call from the plumber. After not hearing back from Doyon's Appliance or Bob Pespisa on January 12, eight days after I initially contacted them, I decided to give up on Doyon's Appliance. I received extremely poor customer service from Doyon's Appliance. This serves as a warning to others who might consider buying appliances at Doyon's Appliance. All along, I felt as though Doyon's believed since they did not actually do the installation, instead subcontracting to someone that did, it was not their problem. This is wrong. I paid Doyon's Appliance to install the dishwasher, not another company or person. They should have been more concerned with the service I paid them for. read more

Next time we'll do business at a big chain store. I don't think it's any secret that small independent shops like this charge more for their products, but to some it's worth it for the customer service and shopping experience. My experience with Doyon's customer service was awful. Whoever the older man was working at the desk inside the door tonight needs to call it quits on working with the public. He's extremely rude, as was the woman I spoke with on the phone this afternoon (apparently she's from service), so we'll be shopping elsewhere in the future after making several purchases at Doyon's over the years. read more

Bought a new Thermador cooktop. Thought I would get better service from a small appliance store as opposed to a big box store! Not so much! They sent a plumber out for site plan, who determined cooktop would likely not fit, but agreed to try. It did not fit and required a stone cutter to enlarge the space at an additional cost. In addition, the drawer opening, beneath, needed to be cut. Once that was done, the depth of the drawer itself was too great to fit back into the space it had occupied. I spoke with the manager several times. Sent photos more than once and was told they were very busy, but he would speak with someone about my drawer. It's been a month now. Still waiting! Have now had to hire an outside contractor to repair the drawer! This was a total fiasco. I gave them every opportunity to make it right! At best, subpar customer service! Buyer beware! read more

My dishwasher died before Thanksgiving..I went in shortly thereafter and met with a salesman who had an attitude right away. He convinced me to buy a certain model and I went home and waited for the delivery and installation. I realized that the machine wasn't working properly...It takes 2x to wash the dishes and I have to reset the breaker each time I want to do another load and the cancel button doesn't work...I called to talk about the problem and instead of replacing it, they're sending a repairman out...3 weeks ...my husband went to the shop and met with the same salesman who was again having an attitude and asked if we knew how to run a dishwasher. He refused to replace our new broken one and we have to wait for the repairman, who btw cancelled because of the snow...3 months later....still have a new broken machine...not happy but our hands are tied...NEVER AGAIN read more

The absolute worst. Not only do they not stand by their products. The people that answer the phones are a bunch of babies. With silly words like inappropriate and so on. I purchased a washer dryer combo in December. I've had them out three times. Now it needs a new drum. They are fedexing the drum and once it gets there I have to drive up to Salisbury. I live in Medford and have another place in Salisbury I rent it in the winter. I will have to carry the drum up 2 flights of stairs or the tenant will which is ridiculous. Just moved here from CT. I was looking for a locally owned appliance center and found these folks. Loved working with Kyle at the Gloucester store. He was very knowledgeable and extremely patient! I purchased a full kitchen and washer dryer. The two guys, DaQuan and Cam that delivered the appliances were awesome! They were due between 3 and 5. They called me at 3:25 and told me they were on their wAy. They got there around 4:00 or so. They were very pleasant. Checked all the boxes, matched model numbers and serial numbers. First time I used Doyon's for appliances. Purchased refrigerator,dishwasher, electric stove and microwave. Paid to have dishwasher and microwave installed. I was told they would coordinate that service. I was also told the items were eligible for a $400.00 rebate from GE. After I completed the form online I was told one was not eligible. That would have been okay, if they hadn't lied to me about it. Appliances were delivered on time, but they new nothing about the installation. I called and was told they "dropped the ball". No installation was scheduled. I was left with a dishwasher and microwave in cartons in the middle of the kitchen. After several days and an in person visit, I was told the microwave could be installed the following Friday but the plumber was on vacation and there was nothing they could do. The plumber scheduled us right away after his vacation. He installed the dishwasher, cracking two floor tile, that we did not discover until he left. Not the service I expected and all they say is sorry nothing we can do. Next time I go back to Beach Sales. I just thought shopping local was a good thing to do. read more

Bought a refrigerator for my mother a couple of months ago. Refrigerator is great. The delivery department was excellent from the manager, to the supervisor and the 2 delivery men. It was not an easy delivery and they were very patient with a few unexpected problems. (removal of an old Sub Zero from a tight spot) Not once did they make us feel like we were putting them out. Well let me tell you a story. Today is approximately day 17 of Covid 19 Corontine. And it is day 14 for my daughters corontine who works at Boston Medical Center in Boston on the SICU with 18 Covid 19 patients at the moment. My daughter will be going bag to work tomorrow. We have a set up in the garage to remove cloths, they will go in a trash bag, then to the washing mashing. Well my washing machine died today. It was pretty old. I went Dow to Doyon's telling them about my nursing daughter. The washer was installed in 3 hours. Amazing service I will be back for the matching dryer and everything else. I hate to give a local business a negative review, but this place is just asking for it with their poor communication and general lack of regard for the customer. Long story short, my wife ordered an appliance and was told 6 weeks. Seemed excessive at the time but we figured it had to do with the pandemic. Six weeks later and we hear nothing. Two more weeks go by and my wife calls and they explain that it's not in yet and that's it's taking longer than expected. Okay, except why do WE have to call to be informed of this two weeks AFTER it was supposed to arrive. What happened to customer service? I hate Lowe's and Home Depot for sure, but at least I KNOW they lack even basic levels of customer service. I guess I just expected more from this place. It's just disappointing to see a small, local business act with such flagrant disregard for its customer base, especially towards those that would likely have resulted in repeat business. We got our money back, but will certainly never return. Do yourself a huge favor and avoid this place. read more

This review is regarding the delivery & installation service. The two men sent out to deliver my new fridge were on time, professional and extremely careful. The emphasis is on how careful they were. They made sure the fridge was not damaged during the delivery process. They made sure they did not dent my kitchen cabinets, center island, floors, doorway, etc. And they were polite. Great experience with Doyon's Appliances. Adam came out to look at our existing fridge which was not functioning correctly. After spending a good amount of time trying to weed out the source of the issue, he concluded that the cost of repair outweighed the cost of replacement considering the fridge's age. When shopping for a new fridge at the store, Mike was extremely helpful in making sure we picked the fridge that worked best for us. Doyon's matched all big box stores prices and had even better prices. When we had the fridge delivered, the three delivery guys were excellent in getting the new fridge set up. They were able to remove the old fridge and replace it with the new one even though the entryway was rather small. Overall a great experience with Doyon's Appliances and highly recommend you check them out before going to a big box store. read more

I bought a friedrich (it's the german word for crap) dehumidifier online & it broke 31 days after I bought it & conveniently, the return policy of the online store is 30 days. Friedrich told me to bring it in to "Doyon's" & they would repair it under their carry in warranty. I called Doyon's and the repair guy curtly told me, "we only service our own units" & I said, "well, friedrich tells me you'll repair theirs" & then he said, "we don't support online purchases". Quite honestly, I understand your policy - but tell Friedrich that you don't do this rather than wasting people's time. Additionally, if I entered into your store (I'm always buying some kind of appliance) and was even remotely impressed by your place, I would have considered shopping there then or in the future- quite frankly, I didn't even know what a "doyon" was before having to drag this glorified boat anchor in there. Clearly it is your choice Doyon's, but it's really a shortsighted approach w/your policy. You have have the chance to bring in in a disgruntled internet customer into your paradise of wonderful products, support and services. Have you considered that servicing crappy internet purchases (THAT YOU WILL BE PAID FOR FROM THE MANUFACTURER) might actually bring you more sales rather than a silly attempt at punishing an internet customer rather than convert one? The chance would be ZERO that I'm ever going to be a customer @ Doyon's at any point in the future/ever. Good luck w/that. read more

Bought a Side by side SS Whirlpool Fridge 4/20/18. I Worked with Michael Goldstein. They ended up upgrading the fridge I ordered ($1,200), to a $1,700 one because they didn't realize the fridge from the manufacturer was on backorder for 2 weeks the day before it was supposed to be delivered. It wasn't DOYON'S fault, but they took a $500 hit just to make me happy. From the Sale, to the Delivery, I can't say enough good things about my experience there. read more

All my years living in Reading Doyon's has been wonderful, particularly regarding service and repairs. They have repaired appliances - even those we did not buy at Doyon's - quickly and at a reasonable price. Last year they went the extra mile to get a warranty extension on our Bosch dishwasher so that we got free parts. This week, when I called for a service call on our broken dishwasher, they led my husband through some troubleshooting steps over the phone, avoiding a service visit, and the dishwasher was immediately fixed at zero cost to us. This was my first experience with replacing my appliances and I am so grateful that I chose Doyon's! Jake and Jack, the delivery men, called to let me know they were 20 minutes away which was super helpful given the delivery window is 2 1/2 hours (not bad on it's own). Upon arrival they introduced themselves, took measurements to ensure there would be no issues with bringing the appliances into our home. They removed our old refrigerator, dishwasher and stove, with such professional demeanor and respectful communication with each other. They made sure the appliances were fully unwrapped, explained any prep that was needed before using them, and made sure we had no questions. We've bought many appliances over 20 years from Doyon's -- washers, dryers, microwaves, dishwashers, refrigerators -- they are our go-to provider. Recently, we've especially appreciated the Service Department. Both our washing machine and Thermador gas range needed repairs. We were advised to replace the washing machine, which we did at the Bedford store. The gas range was more complicated -- and the Service Department worked hard to repair the appliance, saving us the cost of a replacement. Thanks for the consistently attentive service. I am on a small fixed income. When my dishwasher stopped working after only 5 years I called them to access it. It took 3 minutes by hooking it up to a computer to tell me it had 2 broken parts. Charged $200.00. Told me if I buy thru them, I would get $50 off. To be this is robbery. $200 for 3 minutes? read more

I recently purchased a Viking refrigerator from Doyon's as my refrigerator was about to die. Initially, service was good - they had the brand I wanted in stock and made an effort to get us on the delivery schedule sooner than later given we were about to be without any sort of refrigeration at home. Delivery day came and upon arrival, the driver discovered our refrigerator was damaged so he needed to return it and come back another day. Fine, mistakes happen - we were understanding and patient. They returned a second time and delivered the refrigerator but refused to remove the existing refrigerator because it was still connected to the water line (a water line we didn't know even existed as the ice maker never worked in our old refrigerator and us being newer owners of the home, didn't realize there was , in fact, a water line. Mistakes happen. Doyon's wasn't nearly as understanding of the mistake as we were. In fact, the President of the company forced the sales rep I was working with to call me to tell me that the only way they'd return to pick up the old refrigerator (one that we had already paid to be removed) was if we paid an additional $179 for removal. The sales rep was stuck in the middle, I understand that, but what bothers me more is that the President of the company doesn't see a problem with treating a new customer this way. I specifically went to Doyon's so as to "shop local" and anticipated an excellent experience. What I got was anything but excellent. I'm disappointed. I will still "shop local" when I can, but I will not be shopping at Doyon's in the future. I would caution you to be careful when working with them as they do not have the customers' best interest in mind - and this comes from the very top of the business. read more

After purchasing a full kitchen suite at Sears. We wanted to do some more shopping around and landed at Doyon's. We met with Mike G and let him know that we were just "kicking tires" to make sure we were purchasing the right appliances for our needs. Mike was extremely knowledgeable about all the appliances we were considering and we even told him that we already purchased at Sears but after doing some research were not sure of our purchase. Mike let us know that he used to work at Sears for many years and also informed us that the Kenmore appliances we had purchased were no longer in business with Kitchenaide and/or whirlpool for a few years now. This meant to me that we would not have those reputable companies building the product we were buying. Mike then showed us some comparable products and even pulled up the reviews, as well as the potential rebate savings that we could get with those appliances. We thanked him and took our quote home along with the potential rebate forms to do a little research on our own. We decided that the best thing for us was to go with Doyon's. We purchased our appliances the next day and found out while we were there that we qualified for an even higher rebate amount. We were really impressed with the service and knowledge of all the staff that were there. We set up delivery for the following weekend between 9 - 1 pm. We received the confirmation call the day prior. On the day of delivery, we received a call from the delivery team and they told us they would be at the house in 40-min. At 10:20 am (exactly 40-min after we received the call) the three young gentlemen arrived with our delivery. At that time, we were trying to get a heavy machine out of the house that was taking longer than expected (completely unrelated to our delivery). The three men eagerly asked if they could help us get it out (is this real life) we accepted their offer and they helped us out tremendously on something they absolutely did not need to do. The delivery guys were awesome, they worked efficiently and hard the whole time they were there. They had great attitudes and seemed genuinely happy for us and our purchase. They even laughed at all my stupid jokes as they worked. I would recommend Doyon's to anyone who are looking for appliances. Great products + knowledgeable staff + great delivery team = very happy customers. I look forward to working with them again in the future. read more

At 3:15 I figured let me call them to make sure I had not fallen through the cracks, I was told the tech was in Burlington and I was the next appointment.....6:00pm nobody showed up, nobody called.
