Having initially gotten a quotation from Empire, we had a bit of a sense of what to expect in the sales process. Overall, the company did install great carpet and LVP in my home and were quite quick to do so. The installers helped to confirm my LVP was being installed in the direction I wanted and worked quickly, completing the jobs in a few hours. The only reason I didn't provide a 5-star review was for the reasons below: 1) Our sales representative was fine overall, but wasn't the fastest in responding or when I inquired about potentially putting a different pattern of flooring (e.g., planks placed in herringbone), he mentioned he had seen it, but didn't really offer it as an option. 2) The installation team left quite a bit of dust/shoeprints throughout my main floor in getting to the basement. Most other contractors in my home always bring drop cloths to avoid this. 3) We had just had our other contractors complete painting of the walls the previous week and after the installation team we had quite a few marks/scratches on the walls, some spanning multiple feet. 4) When the LVP team showed up and realized they didn't have enough materials, they asked me where they should leave unfinished - I feel like I shouldn't have been involved in the process. I paid for a completely floored basement, I shouldn't be involved in picking which areas are left undone. Still, Tim, their installation manager, did reach out after I reported the issues and was very gracious and willing to either schedule teams to come out or compensate us for our trouble. While I was able to resolve the issues above myself fairly easily, so didn't take him up on his offer, the fact that the company offered it was something I very much appreciated as all contractors will eventually run into issues, but it's how they respond that really makes the difference. Overall, I would likely use America's Floor Source again when we have flooring needs.

We were given the contact information for John Lowry. We reached out to John via text message, and he got back to us quickly and set up an appointment to meet with us at our condo. John arrived with a large variety of samples, and he made informed recommendations about practical floor options to best update all of the rooms in our condo. During this same visit, John measured all of the rooms and helped us decide on both carpeting and hard flooring in under two hours. Written estimates were provided to us via email before the end of that same day. We were able to schedule installation within a couple of weeks. We probably could have had the installation scheduled even sooner, but we had painting that we had scheduled to complete first. We were no longer living in our condo when the installation occurred. Everyone involved with the installation easily worked with our realtor, who was on-site to grant access to the condo, and with me via telephone. We were very pleased with the final results. By 1130, no one had shown up, and I hadn't received a phone call or any communication, so I called the company. When I explained that I had an appointment and no one had arrived, Ian didn't ask for my name or address to look up the appointment. Instead, he simply asked if Aaron was the one coming out. I told him I wasn't sure who was scheduled, and his response was, "Well, he might be running behind. He'll be there when he's done." That was the extent of the explanation. No apology, no attempt to confirm my appointment, and no effort to provide an updated arrival time. If you're running late, the least you can do is call your customer. I told him not to bother coming and that I would take my business elsewhere if that's how they operate. His only response was, "Okay." Based on my experience, this company showed a complete lack of professionalism and customer service. If this is how they treat potential customers before they've even earned your business, I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

I called our contact at the store, Lisa, and she encouraged me to call Mike. she gave me his cell phone number at 620 pm tonight, he came over and showed us the reason it was still a little damp. we had very good padding that insured that the carpet would not get ruined-but beneath the padding the floor remained wet. He cut out several feet of padding and said he would get back to us to replace it in a couple of days. When people tell you to support small family businesses, do it. Evans did their job in July. They sold good carpet and installed it. They had no responsibility to provide additional service--but they did!!! I cannot say enough about this store, their team and their work ethic. It was really great they do not charge for that service even if you do not order. It took a bit for the quote and I did change my mind on the carpet selection due to cost so I needed an updated quote. The price was pretty comparable to other places in guestimation as I didn't have anyone else do an exact measurement. They also have a great selection of flooring of all types. I scheduled installation and was told it would be an all day job - 3 bedrooms, stairs, and hallway. I also paid for them to move the furniture. The all day job contractors did not show up until well after 12. I wasted a morning of vacation from work waiting on them. They were there until about 8pm which was very irritating. Afterwards I noticed some seams were a bit noticable. The sales person came out to look (did not show on the first scheduled date) and said he would send someone out to work the seams a bit. We scheduled a time and they did not show. I called and never got a response. I also noticed some damage to the furniture but by that point I'm sure nothing would have been done. I love supporting smaller more local businesses but I'm not sure I would recommend or return. Too bad as I do have more flooring to replace.

THIS IS A TRUE STORY - My wife and I went into panel town to take a look at their showroom. Panel Town took this as an insult and the owner called the company we decided to move forward with and strong-arm'd him into using them (panel town) as the supplier of the hardwood. THIS IS WHERE IT GETS SHADY AND CROOKED. After our guy agreed to go through panel town to by the boards, the day we were having our floors ripped out and prepped, Panel Town told us that the boards we had ordered and confirmed were in stock were NO LONGER AVAILABLE... Turns out they didn't even place the order and we confirmed this by calling the manufacturer of the hardwoods and they said that Panel Town hadn't placed an order of that particular boards for 3 months. SO THEY DIDN'T EVEN PLACE OUR ORDER OUT OF SPITE BECAUSE WE DID NOT GO WITH THEM TO BEGIN WITH. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. These people are shady and vindictive. However, if you do decide to go with them do not take their first price. They will always go down on price lower and lower to get your business but they may screw you in the end so NOT WORTH IT.
