While getting the initial diagnosis and support from Dr. Dressler was difficult, she has now become a partner and ally in my medical care. She did not have much guidance for me at first, but as I became proactive in my health care she has done everything she can to answer questions and provide for my medical needs. She is prompt in putting in prescriptions and referrals, as well as returning correspondence through Sutter Health's My Health Online. This makes my life so much easier to not have to waste time bouncing between doctors, pharmacies, and my insurance just to accomplish something simple for my medical well-being. Recently, she even did research and referenced medical journals for recommendations about my health. She kept tabs on me during a recent hospitalization. She even looked into additional programs offered through PAMF to see if I was a candidate who may benefit from such programs. Dr. Dressler ensures that the lines of communication remain open between her and her patients. Overall, Dr. Dressler is prompt and courteous. She listens and addresses your concerns as best as she can. She values your time without rushing you out to get to another patient. She does her best to provide helpful information, prescriptions, and referrals.

We were in Fremont when we first visited and now settled in the Tri valley but we still commute 20-30 mins to come see her.. that should say it all (FYI we have a PAMF two blocks from where we live now) She is knowledgeable and has all the latest research updates in health and medicine. It's always nice to talk to her about science, medicine and all the development in the health sector. She naturally can calm her patients and also motivate them to make their lives better. Kudos to Dr Miller!!

She was professional but compassionate, patiently addressing our concerns with the diagnosis/treatment. The PAMF is often hit-and-miss. The system is often conservative, perhaps overly so, and sometimes it feels like practitioners are hand-cuffed in what they can offer in terms of information, consultation time, and/or treatment, but are generally quite good for primary care. During this instance, we were completely pleased with the visit and would highly recommend Dr. Miller's services In doing some quick googling at Vitals.com, a posteriori, it appears Dr. Miller has won multiple patient-choice awards -- completely understandable after our pleasant experience with her!

She was cold, distant, and did not listen to me about my problems or about what I needed considering it is a chronic problem and is well documented in my chart. I was there almost three hours before she decided to tell me she couldn't give me the treatment I would need and I should go to the ER. She couldn't have told me that wayyy earlier knowing that "the urgent care policy" wouldn't allow it? Not once did she apologize for the treatment or anything. Worst experience ever and would never recommend her!!

Effective June 1, 2009, I will be reducing the number of patients I am able to see in primary care so that I can spend a portion of my time caring for patients at the Urgent Care Center. As a result, I ask that you transfer yoru care to one of my colleagues in Family Medecine at the Palo Alto Medical Foundation's Fremont Center. That's it? A 3-paragraph letter and our relationship is over? I don't even get a phone call? Breaking up with your doctor isn't quite as painful as with a significant other, but it still stings whenever I read that letter. I'd taken special care in selecting Dr. Miller. I'd researched top medical colleges, then searched through my insurance's list of in-network doctors, and narrowed my search according to college attended, and years in practice, then finally ended my search on Yelp. And now it looks like I have to go through this whole process all over again. What if another doctor rejects me? Will I ever find "the one". Why does it have to be so hard? I feel so alone. I guess Dr. Miller wasn't the one for me. Things happen for a reason and I know the right doctor is out there.
