My wife has never been to this nail spa before and was worried about it. She walked in and was seated right away. The nail technician started her nails right away. Even though the nail technician didn't speak much to her; my wife was happy with her nails when she was done. If we were in the area again and needed her nails done she would go back again. I have been Coming to ritzy nail salon for over a year I have always had great service until today. It was the worst experience I have ever had the lady seemed as though she didn't care about what I wanted I was here for 15 min I had gotten a deluxe pedicure like I always do and she went so fast. She barely massaged my feet she did not take her time she cut my cuticle then had the audacity to use alcohol on them and acetone which burned. Then was willing to let me leave with wet nails. She then did my eyebrows did not take her time and did not get all the hair or make it look nice. DON'T DO IT! Oh baby I should have read the reviews before going here. Several issues. My niece wanted designs on her gel manicure. She tried to show the lady a photo on the phone. The lady told her to put the phone down and pick a color. Did not ask her once if she wanted a design and even when my niece tried to speak up she ignored her. Rude. I was in another part of the shop getting my nails done so I missed the interaction. She also filed her nails too much on the side. The lady doing my nails filed them too hard on the sides as well and I left so sore after my acrylic set. My sister who got a gel manicure got her nails cut so short one of them was bleeding. I'll never go back to this salon. I do not recommend it. There's several others to try in the area. read more

BAD NAIL POLISH, TECHS, AND PEDICURE. Subject: Unacceptable Conduct and Discriminatory Treatment at Rizy Nail Spa. I am writing to express my deep concern regarding the unprofessional and offensive behavior I witnessed during a recent visit to your establishment. I brought my granddaughter with me, and although staff were unaware of her Vietnamese heritage, they openly made derogatory remarks about clients--seemingly unaware that some of those clients were within earshot. Throughout our visit, I observed staff mocking the physical appearance of patrons, including comments about foot size and body shape, using language that was vulgar and deeply disrespectful. I recorded portions of this behavior, which included staff laughing loudly, making inappropriate jokes, and referring to clients using offensive terms. There was also a noticeable disparity in how clients were treated. White women received extended hand and arm massages with lotion, while Black women were given minimal attention--only a few drops of oil on their cuticles. Staff expressed frustration when certain clients didn't offer additional tips, and I witnessed instances of overcharging without explanation. This experience was not only uncomfortable--it was demeaning. I can see why consumers are resorting to press on nails. It's barely been 1 week after spending 140+ on nails and feet and my nail break in half. I go in for a repair and they charge $10 for 1 nail and guess what today another nail broke. Never again!!!! read more

This nail salon is always a hit or miss. They do good pedicures sometimes. But nails it's always an epic fail. I went in today for a full set and I told him they were too wide, he then ask well do you want coffin. No! I want square I've never had this issue before with voicing my concern. I was going to get French on my nails but decided after he horribly tried to fix the wideness to just get clear. I won't return I can't keep having good and bad outcomes here. Let me start by saying I love this place. The location is great, they offer beverages and my nails always look amazing. The only drawback is the wait. Every time I go right when they open, the wait is always an hour just to get my nails done- acrylic fill in. If you go hours after they open, the wait will be over 1 hour. If you're getting a pedicure you will only have to wait around 30min. There are way more people in the shop qualified to give pedis vs the techs that are able to do nails. Again, once I'm in the chair, the service is amazing and things move pretty fast. I recommend this place if you want good service and have a few hours. read more

The was the worst experience I ever had at a nail salon. The wait was 1 hour which was ok. But the mail tech cut me 3 times. One with the electric file you took the skin off one of my toes. Cut me with the blade on the bottom of my foot. Then click me with the cuticle trimmer. Next she jammed my big toe by spreading it too far. She lifted my leg real high which I was having issues with my hip on that side. Once she was done she walked right to the register for me to pay. I was not offered to sit anywhere to dry my nails. I went in on a gift card and ended up paying almost $30 extra because they didn't listen. They did not do my cuticles, the paint was poorly applied and my nails are thick and uneven. I'm absolutely horrified and frustrated because now I have to find the time and extra money to get them removed. I have three small children and never get to do anything for myself due to lack of childcare and additional funds and this was definitely a huge disappointment in that area. Ritzy Nails did a great job doing my nails. I've been to a few places before that just missed the mark on painting non acrylic nails. I was very impressed with my nail professional James. He made my nails and toes look great. I decided to get the pistachio green on my nails and toes. The toes only required the regular nail polish, but I paid an additional $15 to get my nails painted with gel. My nails lasted over 2 weeks unfortunately my nails grew out faster than I would have like. My toes still look good. Regardless, I really enjoyed my experience and will come back again. read more

Jacky is the best! We'll come back to this... This is the first time since the reopening that I have been back here. I had called ahead and scheduled a super deluxe pedicure and manicure with SNS powder nail application. Calling in to make the appointment was easy. I'd suggest mentioning the need for a mask during the scheduling process. But I heard from a friend they were requiring masks so I was already prepared. But never fear, if you didn't know or forgot, they sell an assortment of colored masks for (I think they said) $1.00 but I could have misheard. When I got there, I let them know my name and who I was there to see. I was about 5-10 minutes early so I didn't expect to be seen right away but Jacky was ready for me. He gave me the color palette to choose from and I let him know I just wanted clear. He asked why and I explained that I like natural looking nails AND I was sneaking a pampering without my daughter and newly colored nails = big give away. He suggested for the dip nails a light pink which would still look natural but wouldn't fade to yellow as it ages. I was cool with that. The super deluxe pedicure was great. Felt so good and relaxing. They have a plastic shield at all the stations. And as soon as a person gets up, someone wipes the station down. When he finished the pedicure we moved to his fingernail station which also had a plastic shield. He got out the powder and I noticed his nails. They were healthy and nice and I told him so. That I want my nails to be beautiful and healthy. The reason Jacky is the best: he understood at that point what I was trying to achieve with the clear powder polish. He provided some much needed education and suggested a plan to get my damaged nails back on track. To be heard is everything, especially in today's climate. Thank you Jacky! read more

Today was my first visit at this new nail salon up here on the northside: Ritzy Nail Spa. I decided to give this place a try because I had yet to find a nail salon that I liked up here. I decided to try the Deluxe Pedicure & my usual fingernail choice-SNS/dip powder manicure. The massage portion of my pedicure left very little to be desired, that's what brings the rating down a star for me. The nail tech did a beautiful job with shaping my toe nails and cleaning up the calluses, however when I get pedicures, the massage is what I look forward to the most. The SNS manicure was done by John. He did a pretty good job with the shaping of my fingernails. However he & I made a deal-if these nails last about as long as they usually do, 3 weeks, then I'll be back to see him. I usually drive all the way out to the town center because my usual place gives amazing massages with the pedicures, but the past couple of times the SNS manicures haven't been the best which is why I decided to check Ritzy out today. I usually give new-to-me places two tries before I give my final opinion, so I'll be back to see if they can earn a star or two back with the pedicure massage and if my SNS manicure lasts as long as I like. read more

This nail salon is amazing. I went Tuesday in the afternoon and they weren't busy. Waited 5 minutes for an open spot. Gave me enough time to pick out a color and design. My nail tech was Trieu (Hope I spelled it right). He was amazing. Very caring and sweet. I picked out a hard design and he did an outstanding job. Overall the place was nice and clean (from eyes view). I received a full in and pedi. My pedi tech should me a new trick with bright colors to make them seem brighter. She did one coat of white and then the color of my choice. I wanted yellow this time, never had it on my toes. The lady who did my nails, happens to be the manager and I don't know if today just wasn't a good day, but honey had an attitude. I got my nails done Monday night, it's now Wednesday morning. They are very dull and dented up. You can also see clearly where they drilled over my skin in many spots. My fingers are still very sore. After being cut, your optimism diminishes, then after telling them multiple times that I want my nails round not box/square, they not only still make them square, but file them all jagged and make my hands look worse than I came in. My fiancé just moved here to Jacksonville and I'm in the works of moving here too and when coming here my main concern was finding the best nail shop to do my pedicure! As a educator and dancer I'm on my feet at least 16-18hours of the day and I get my feet done regularly. I was SOOOO happy to find this place! The simple fact they even offer hot stone massage for a regular pedicure is insane to me! I come from Cali where they charge 5-25$ extra for anything like that so to come here to just have the whole bundle for a good price hits the jackpot for me!
