Update: my nails still look like they were just done! There's a bit of mail growth but nothing noticeable to a casual observer. I'm headed on another trip in 2 weeks...definitely getting the fill and keeping it moving. Seriously...no chips, peeling or anything! Olive nails is my go to mani/pedi/brow wax place. I usually get clear for my natural nails but today a customer gushed over powder nails so I tried it. I've tried gel and glue on nails and neither worked for me, it was before Olive nails but I'm scarred. I'm still down to try something new when it comes with customer recommendations and the person next to me gushed over her powder nails so I gave powder a try. It was a process. I added a little nail length and then it was polish dip, polish dip multiple times and then shaping and final clear polish on top. The powder is the actual color, that surprised me, glad I went with something neutral to me because it'll go with everything. I took the day off for some pre-mother's day pampering. It wasn't too busy this time either to my relief. Mrs. Cindy was my tech this time. I got the highest level pedicure with gel polish and manicure with gel polish. I had dip powder from another spa, so while I got my pedicure, I soaked my fingernails in the solution then rubbed them a bit with a paper towel to expedite the manicure process. I didn't mind helping because I realized that the pedicure I picked was longer than I anticipated and I had a hair appointment across town afterwards. The pedicure was good. The manicure was good. I'm in love with the clear sparkly polish I picked and will likely make it my staple nail look. Cindy made the experience very pleasant with the conversation and compliments. I look forward to my next visit in a week or two. I don't know who I will get next, but so far everyone has been great. read more

Update: the gel on the top of my nails peeled off the second day I had them. The sns POPPED off in two weeks like they were press on nails. This is why I don't go to new nail places. I was very apprehensive about going to a new salon. I have had so many bad experiences, BUT I was desperate and we haven't been able to get nail services for two months due to covid-19. I called because I had a friend recommend them and they are close to my house. The man that answered the phone was the most pleasant nail tech I have ever spoken to in my life. I was the only person in the entire room besides the staff and we all wore masks. I choose the deluxe pedicure, and Tina is the best!! What a fun touch it is to choose from 10 different scented lotions. I choose Jasmine. I had two ingrown toenails due to not being able to get a pedicure, and she was able to quickly and painlessly remove them.( I have never tipped someone so High at a nail salon) usually I'm in tears. This was huge! It was relaxing and efficient and I'm very happy. Next, I got my nails done with SNS. I was reading a book, so she did one hand all the way done before switching hands. The people were pleasant however $179 for what I got and I was not even happy with the results is ridiculous. The diamonds were just really thrown on there. The diamonds was not organized so whatever she could pick up is what she threw on my nails. The most I ever paid for a pedicure and a fill-in and yes I got a comparable service that I have gotten at other places many times before and I never paid this much. They said it was because of all the diamonds that I didn't ask for. I told her to be creative and this is what she did, but Definitely not worth $179. I will not be back. My teenage granddaughter went with friends to have their nails done and because the usual place was too busy with more of a wait than teenagers have patience for, they ended up here at Olive Nails. She had a 50.00 cap on what she was allowed to spend, with a 5.00 tip included. With her allowed amount in mind, she asked what it would cost to get them done the way she wanted, she was told 40-50.00 and I'm disappointed she didn't insist on a firm quote, but she's young and trusting...but, she should have gotten a firm quote from the get go. The final cost was 65.00 without tip. I feel like this place took advantage of my granddaughter. As for the quality of the nail job itself, it's not the worst we've seen, but far from the best. I give this place one star simply because I have to. I'm pissed. The last 2 times I have come here I have waited over an hour to get a pedicure! After sitting in the chair for so long my water is ice cold and my feet look like actual raisins. Took the guy 20 minutes to remove the gel polish off my toes after jabbing me with the drill 3 times.. finally said just remove the polish and I'm done. I don't want a pedicure. My mom, sister and I went to go get our nails done at the shop last Saturday 10/13 and the woman that did my nails at first had a bit of an attitude and she rushed the process. I was the second person to get in the chair and the first to get up. She skipped me having to wash my hands to get all the access nail powder off from her filing them down with the drill. The painting was okay. A couple of my nails, polish has come off and one of them you can clearly see it's uneven. It hasn't been that long since I've left and I do work but if these nails were done properly they shouldn't be breaking off now or having the nail polish coming off now too. I wear gloves all day at work so there is no reason for this to happen. read more

So a friend and i came to Jacksonville for the first time just to get away from the cold in NY. I had not done my nails before departing so i looked up what was close to my hotel and this place popped up. All i can say is AMAZING! The whole entire staff were welcoming and so professional. They laughed with us, joked with us and did not kick us out while we waited 20 minutes for an uber after we were done, lol. The place was clean and they did a job well done. I had gotten a deluxe pedicure and waxed my eyebrows and upper lip. I just want to say thank you because now i look like a brand new woman and not like a cave woman. Hubby and I went this establishment a couple of weeks ago. We have been looking for a place to replace Skymark Nails. I think we found it. We walked in on a Sunday around noon and not crowded; although more people a started to come in. We were greatest when we walked in and told exactly how long we would have to wait for our pedicures. The time was spot on. I appreciated the fact that the place did not immediately smell like acrylic nails. One salon we walked into made me think that I needed a hazmat mask. This salon was friendly and pleasant atmosphere. The nail tech did both pedicures. She was thorough and the foot message was great.(deluxe option). Even though they seemed to not have many nail techs at the time, they were methodical and worked to serve their customers. We will definitely return. I think I may return for a full foot massage. The man who did my pedicure kept slapping my toes down like he was reprimanding me like a child. I am only 5ft tall and their chairs are cheap and don't have the same range of motion as other nail salons I frequent. I couldn't believe he was doing it, and by the 5th time I had to tell him that there was nothing I could do to point my toes anymore downward for his convenience and to please stop assaulting me. I have literally never written a review in my life but I felt it was warranted to warn people to stay away. There is also no complimentary wine here for your troubles. My first visit was excellent! The foot massage was soothing the polish on my toes lasted for several weeks! My son was having a surprise engagement party to ask his fiancé to marry him. I took her and my daughter to Olive Nails for a "girly day" to her nails done without her knowing. I made a appointment in advance and when we arrived I signed in and a employee there wanted to a walk in her chair first. Another employee explained to her several times that we have an appointment. She begrudgingly asked one of us to her chair. My daughter was done first and it looked good! I was done next but asked for a pattern on the nail and it was ugly. My bonus daughter was last and hers as well came out looking good. That same week my daughters nails were coming off! My nails didn't last 1 1/2 weeks! Just my bonus daughter who's nails were on but the paint was coming off! I was very disappointed in the service and in the way we treated when we arrived. I will NEVER go back again! I saw the the new opening sign and was gonna give this place a try, I started a new job which has me on my feet 12 hrs for 3 days at a time and my feet hurt so bad and all I wanted was a good pedicure to include soaking, a good scrub and a great massage and quiet. I did not get any of this! Michael did my pedicure, and I asked him twice if he could massage a little harder on the heal area on my left foot and I said it twice because I did not think he heard me the first time and he just laughed and all he was doing was wiping lotion on my feet there was no massaging to it, at this time I was angry because he did not even clean up my cuticles around my toes at all. All he did was talk and talk and talk! I said I just wanted to relax but he kept talking! He had feminine hands when it came to massaging. I've had better polishing, I asked him to please polish the sides of my toes he just seemed hardheaded and wanted to do things his way. Then I went to pay and outside sign said 20% off with the pedicure and then when I went to pay he said it's 20% off with a pedicure if you buy a massage!!...WTF?! Then he asked me if I wanted to leave a tip!...really?!! Well I only tipped him five bucks he did not even deserve that and that pedicure was not even worth what I paid! Went to the spa after an appointment taken 2 days ahead of time to find out the owner had some breakfast for his father.... Anyway another technician took me. I wanted SNS. It looks they have limited colors available and minimal experience. It took her over 2 hrs to do my Nail and the final polish did not work had to use the gel under UV light which you do SNS to avoid the light. She also abraded my skin. Won't be going there again.
