We had great time at RIVA for Valentine's dinner, the food was delicious, presentation was beautiful, ambiance was great, and the service was top notch!

The food has a simple, understated presentation, but the flavors were genuinely delicious! Everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. The highlight for us was definitely the vegan mofongo, which is surprisingly hard to find. It was so nice to have a traditional Puerto Rican dish with a vegan option, and it did not disappoint. Such a cute, casual spot with great food--we're glad we stumbled upon it!

I ordered the Cowboy Burger and requested it medium, but it came out well done. That seems to be fairly common from what I've experienced so far in Puerto Rico, so it wasn't a major issue. My husband had the Americana Breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed it. The other couple with us both ordered the ham and cheese croissant and couldn't stop talking about how good it was. In fact, everyone in our group is already talking about coming back before we leave! The restaurant is very cute inside, with a welcoming atmosphere and a full bar. They also offer brunch, lunch and dinner, and outdoor seating, making it a great option any time of day. This was a wonderful find, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious meal and a pleasant dining experience.

My wife and I visited San Juan and found La Central on date night. What a great spot! The food and…read moreservice are fantastic! I ordered my typical old-fashioned and just by chance got to see it being prepared. What a treat! The bartender mixed while the server finalized the preparation by manually marking the ice cube with the restaurant logo, peeling the orange and twisting the garnish and adding a cherry. Finished product was great! We ordered an Empanada appetizer and both had Filet Steak. I had sweet plantains prepared in a sweet cinnamon sauce and my wife had Parmesan potatoes. Both were delicious! Big fan of La Central!

I would not make a special trip for the restaurant alone because the food is simply too hit or miss. The chicken was easily the best thing I had. The skin had a beautiful dark, caramelized glaze with real charcoal blistering, and it was delicious. Unfortunately, the sides were a different story. The Brussels sprouts were so hard and undercooked that they were nearly inedible, while the other sides were mediocre at best. My spouse's steak was decent, but honestly no better than one from LongHorn Steakhouse at a fraction of the price. Service was timely and our server was friendly, but it felt more like standard table service than fine dining. As first-time guests, we expected some guidance through the menu and a few recommendations. The hostess was dismissive and later had a loud argument with a customer who asked to move from a table placed unnecessarily close to another couple in an almost empty restaurant. Whatever the disagreement, the entire dining room should not have heard it. At this price point, every dish should be high-quality and carefully prepared. It's strange that one item could be fantastic while another was borderline inedible. If money isn't an issue, it may be worth trying while enjoying Distrito. However, if your trip budget only allows for one fine-dining experience, I would skip La Central.

Hidden gem meets birthday bliss…read more We stumbled upon this magical little garden of yum during our birthday trip to Puerto Rico, staying right in the heart of Condado. After a long, sandy stroll along the beach, sun-kissed and parched, we wandered the streets in search of a place to sip and snack--and boom! Dulcesalado appeared like a mirage... but real. We grabbed a seat on the leafy patio where the walls are literally alive. Think secret garden meets tropical chic. You half expect a fairy to bring your cocktail. Instead, we got an incredibly sweet waitress who treated us like cousins she actually likes--warm, attentive, and full of great recommendations. Let's talk drinks and bites: * Iced Hibiscus Tea - Floral, chilled, and refreshing. Like a spa day in a glass. * Tamarind Martini - Sweet, tangy, dangerous. I wanted to drink it and bathe in it. * Watermelon Sushi - WHAT IS THIS WITCHCRAFT?! Sweet, savory, crunchy, and completely unexpected. I'd fly back just for this. * Apio Pancakes with Shrimp - These lil' cakes were fluffy, and packed with flavor. I would 100% slap my mama for another bite (sorry, Mom). * Scallops in Cream Sauce - These scallops came to seduce. Tender, buttery, luxurious. Gourmet without being fussy. The vibe? Effortless. The food? Elevated. The drinks? Dangerous. If you're in Condado, run--don't walk--to this verdant oasis. Dulcesalado is that perfect mix of "vacation indulgence" and "why don't we have this back home?!"
