I see a lot one and two star reviews for Mango's Village, but for being located in an airport terminal one really can't really expect all that much. It does have some good points. First off, it's the only place in JetBlue Terminal A that serves alcohol and second, it's the only place that isn't a part of a fast food chain or a part of the cafeteria food court like seating. I stopped by, had one of the local San Juan Medalla draft beers, which though pricey at $8.50, typical of airport bars, and an order of calamari. To my delight the calamari was of a full plate portion, came with two different dips and though again airport pricey, really tender, tasty and properly prepared. I can't really rave about Mango's, but the food I had was good and my service professional and polite; all actually being better than found in most other airport terminals. So for what it is, an airport terminal restaurant, Mango's isn't really all that bad and for me certainly beats having to eat crap fast food along with the horrors of having to sit around and endure food court table seating experience.

This was the only restaurant by the JetBlue terminals that you can sit comfortably and be served. The only issue I had with the menu was that you cannot access all selections at certain times. However our waiter did offer accommodations and suggestions since one of us was in the mood for lunch. I would say the prices were decent for airport food. And the taste was pretty good. Staff was prompt friendly and on point.

Came for breakfast because there aren't many choices in the terminal. I expected to pay much more since we are at the airport. The food is very basic, don't expect to be blown away. $12 for two fried eggs, three strips of bacon, one piece of cheap white bread toast, and "hash browns" which are really nine tater tots. $10 for three pieces of French toast made out of the same cheap white bread slices and three strips of bacon. We ordered orange juice, $4 each and the server brought large cups of what tasted like sour water with ice and a lighter color than Tang. We told her that they tasted like water and maybe the syrup for the fountain needs to be changed. She said that she knew it was low but didn't have any to change it. That part is what annoys me. She knew it was not the right quality and still served it to us like she thought we wouldn't notice.

Stopped in for breakfast while waiting for our delayed flight in terminal A. Service was slow out of the gate, we were at our table waiting for a server for quite some time, not what you hope for at an airport, especially when it wasn't very crowded here. Food was ok, it's airport food after all, and of course overpriced. I had the pancakes and bacon. Bacon was crispy and greasy, pancakes a bit dry but fine. Server was friendly. Ok for an airport breakfast, not sure if worth the premium though compared to Burger King next door.

It's really delicious, I ate salmon and was amazing! And the service was really good!

Good spot in Luis Munoz airport for breakfast and coffee. The service is quick and the server makes an excellent Puerto Rican cafe con leche. Of course my breakfast sandwich was pressed - I went with ham egg and cheese and it came with deep fried tator tots. Absolutely yummy - and I could only eat half - took the other half to eat on the plane.

My husband had the Americana Breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed it. The other couple with us both ordered the ham and cheese croissant and couldn't stop talking about how good it was. In fact, everyone in our group is already talking about coming back before we leave! The restaurant is very cute inside, with a welcoming atmosphere and a full bar. The menu includes a five course prix fixe menu for $115 per person. The ambiance was nice but I think they could modify the inside of the restaurant. It felt like I was dining in a conference room. However, every single staff member and the service here was 100% amazing-- they even offered me a cashmere scarf to borrow since I was cold. You don't get that kind of service anywhere! First course was started off with canapes served with buttery soup and their warm selection of breads with sea salt and butter on the side. There were also some light bites that were brought to us to salivate our palates, which included a bite-sized everything bagel and cream cheese, a small item topped with tobiko, and a bite sized salted caramel pastry. Second course, I had the Hamachi Crudo and my husband had the hand-cut beef tartare. The hamachi crudo was very fresh. The beef tartare blew me away. It was half cooked and mixed with truffle egg dressing. Ugh it was like a party of delicious flavors. The beef tartare was probably my favorite out of all the dishes! Third course, we had the seafood risotto. There was ample amounts of lobster, shrimp, and calamari in the dish. Only complaint was that there was some bits of lobster shells in the risotto but hey, that's how you know it is super fresh and it did not come straight from a can. Fourth course, I had the sea scallops and my husband had the filet mignon. Both dishes... amazingly good! The scallops had a perfect sear and tasted very fresh. The filet mignon was not chewy and cooked to perfection. There was a crispy layered potato served on the side that was also very flavorful of butter. Fifth course, I had the citrus panna cotta and my husband had the flourless chocolate cake. Both desserts was a nice cherry on top of our meal. Needless to say, this place was nothing short of amazing. My husband and I will definitely be 100% returning!

Of the local breweries, we liked Ocean Lab. To eat, we saw someeone else get the onion dip so we had to also. It was soooo good. The 2nd visit we went after a day of beaching and were happy to be able to use their rinse-off station out front (such a cool idea). To eat, I had a buffalo chicken sandwich and my fiance had the chicken tendies with mac and cheese. All were really good but I think the best entrees at our table were probably the salads but everything was really good. Overall, somewhere I'd go hang if I lived in Vieques and would be happy to visit again. They did have the cleanest bathroom of any of the places I ate in all of Puerto Rico.

I would not make a special trip for the restaurant alone because the food is simply too hit or miss. The chicken was easily the best thing I had. The skin had a beautiful dark, caramelized glaze with real charcoal blistering, and it was delicious. Unfortunately, the sides were a different story. The Brussels sprouts were so hard and undercooked that they were nearly inedible, while the other sides were mediocre at best. My spouse's steak was decent, but honestly no better than one from LongHorn Steakhouse at a fraction of the price. Service was timely and our server was friendly, but it felt more like standard table service than fine dining. As first-time guests, we expected some guidance through the menu and a few recommendations. The hostess was dismissive and later had a loud argument with a customer who asked to move from a table placed unnecessarily close to another couple in an almost empty restaurant. Whatever the disagreement, the entire dining room should not have heard it. At this price point, every dish should be high-quality and carefully prepared. It's strange that one item could be fantastic while another was borderline inedible. If money isn't an issue, it may be worth trying while enjoying Distrito. However, if your trip budget only allows for one fine-dining experience, I would skip La Central.
