This place is right across the street from our rental condo. It was recommended by our rental. It was okay. I wouldn't go back. It's a wine bar and had a ton of wine to choose from. We asked for a cocktail and didn't get a straight answer so we just ordered wine. The service was okay but wouldn't say they were very attentive or personable. The food was not great. We ordered 4 apps for 2 people. We should have asked how big they were because they were gigantic. And the food was just okay. Neither of us really enjoyed anything we ordered. But we drive here, you get a ticket when you drive in the parking lot, and the restaurant will validate the parking for you. The server finally came by & asked for our order. When I asked for menu's (which I had received 1st visit), they pointed at a QR code in a Mylar stand - great for a sandwich shop, but not fine dining. When I explained I didn't want to pull out my cell to enjoy dinner, they replied "OK" & walked away. When they didn't return, we left. With an excellent , yet young, Alexander Valley Cab, we enjoyed appetizer of buratta salad (my wife) and an outstanding, nicely proportioned beef carpaccio (hold the parm) as appetizers. Entrees of lamb chops and perfectly grilled medium-rare churasco (skirt steak) followed. Sides of minimally cooked fresh vegetables were excellent as were our mashed potatoes and rice with onions and mushrooms. My wife finished off her meal with an excellent cheese flan. This used to be a prime spot in Isla Verde. No more. Service was not what patrons came to once expect, and food is not as good as before. My pasta primavera was bland, flavorless. The selection of wines by the glass (for solo diners like me) was not impressive. In short, this place has gone downhill and it is not what it used to be. Nothing like Saint Hubertus restaurant but this isn't San Cassiano, Bolzano it's Puerto Rico and it's satisfying. Located near Church's Chicken and CVS with plenty of parking. You will find the staff attentive and pleasant. I had to ask for water, napkins and pay for bread but who needs the carbs. The music inside was very classy and made you feel like you were someplace other than a Church's Chicken/ Burger King shopping center. Well done! LOVE this concept. We got caught in the rain and I had to wear a towel inside but the service was still wonderful. I didn't want to walk around and choose the wine because of this but I still had great recommendations from our server. We all got the French onion soup which was some of the best I've had. Likewise, the service is what you would expect at a diner, and definitely not what one would expect for a supposedly higher-end restaurant. They have an expansive selection of mostly napa valley wines ranging from $30-$100. For dinner he got the churrasco and I got the steak filet. Mine was okay the flavoring was great and it was paired with veggies and I chose mashed potatoes. My steak was a bit chewy and I personally don't like that. Churrasco was super tender and melts right in your mouth. That was the better option in our opinion.
