Went here with the fam during our trip to PR after seeing how highly rated it was on Google and it definitely lived up to the hype. It was also conveniently close to our hotel, which made it an easy choice. The space is really unique, doubling as a wine bar with an impressive collection displayed throughout the restaurant. This place is right across the street from our rental condo. It was recommended by our rental. It was okay. I wouldn't go back. It's a wine bar and had a ton of wine to choose from. We asked for a cocktail and didn't get a straight answer so we just ordered wine. The service was okay but wouldn't say they were very attentive or personable. The food was not great. We ordered 4 apps for 2 people. We should have asked how big they were because they were gigantic. And the food was just okay. Neither of us really enjoyed anything we ordered. But we drive here, you get a ticket when you drive in the parking lot, and the restaurant will validate the parking for you. We ordered grill octopus and Escargot, oh, they all cooked perfect, tender and tasty, the best i ever tasted. The white chocolate creme brûlée is perfect too! Husband loves their lasagna and i had the mix veggie thing, all great! Service is prompt and attentive. We were in and out within 90mins! Entrees of lamb chops and perfectly grilled medium-rare churasco (skirt steak) followed. Sides of minimally cooked fresh vegetables were excellent as were our mashed potatoes and rice with onions and mushrooms. My wife finished off her meal with an excellent cheese flan. You will find the staff attentive and pleasant. I had to ask for water, napkins and pay for bread but who needs the carbs. The music inside was very classy and made you feel like you were someplace other than a Church's Chicken/ Burger King shopping center. Well done! We ordered octopus and fish ceviche for appetizers, and churrasco and branzino for main. Octopus was not cooked well and it was tasteless with stale and hard potato chips and wilted salad. But the rest of our food was great. Ceviche came with hot fresh tostones. The branzino was very well fried with lemon capers sauce. The churrasco was cooked to perfection. The main dishes come with roasted vegetables and you can pick one of the 3 sides options: mashed potato, rice or fries. We tried the fries and it was great, but the cuban rice was old and hard. For the drink we had Cuba Libre which was ok. Overall, we enjoyed the food. The service was very attentive and friendly. The ambience of the restaurant was pleasant. LOVE this concept. We got caught in the rain and I had to wear a towel inside but the service was still wonderful. I didn't want to walk around and choose the wine because of this but I still had great recommendations from our server. We all got the French onion soup which was some of the best I've had. I also got the short rib fettuccine which was so good, the only thing was I wish they would have made the short rib closer to medium/medium rare. They no longer have the salmon miso I wrote about in 2019 and they ran out of the bacalao, but they did agree to prepare the mahi mahi in the same way as the bacalao dish was offered (en un guiso). Highly recommend the cheese flan. 2019: Great restaurant with delicious food and excellent service. I recommend ordering 1 app and 1 entree to split between 2 people. The octopus was just slightly too charred but still delicious, and the salmon was cooked to perfection- flaky and juicy with just the right amount of sweetness from the soy glaze. They have an expansive selection of mostly napa valley wines ranging from $30-$100. The food was some of the best I've had anywhere. We started with the pesto gnocchi. The gnocchi was handmade and was cooked to perfection. The pesto sauce was freshly made with a great flavor profile. I had the branzino filet and it did not disappoint. The caper butter added just the right tanginess to go with the sweet tasting fish. My wife had the salad which she said was very fresh. We hated a bottle of wine they recommended and it paired great with our meal. The service was top notch and the pricing much more reasonable than some of the higher priced places we ate at while in PR. I wished we would have ate here a couple more times while on vacation.
