Had an abnormally heavy/ large mirror to hang in my apartment. Jose was here and hanging my mirror…read morewithin 30 minutes of the initial call! Looks great, and price was great too. It was also his day off!

EVERYONE, BE AWARE! THIS BUSINESS IS A SCAM…read more Jose is a deceptive person, he is the worst both as a business and a person I have ever encountered in my life. Last month they came to my house to fix my dripping tub faucet (slowly dripping so I let it be for about 2 months), they could not fix it but even made it way worse, became way stronger, and faster leaking. Jose who I talked to at first is the boss/owner (according to Mario, one of the 2 guys he sent) came to my house and told me they had to install a new set. I had no choice but to accept that with a new charge. After they were done, I checked and discovered that when I turned on the valve handle water was coming out at both ends (tub faucet and shower head, not just leaking at the shower head but like a regular stream when you need to use it). The guys video-called with Jose, and after a while, they handed me the phone to talk to him. Jose started tricking and lying to me, he said it is how they are supposed to be working. I said no, when we use the tub faucet, water must not come out at the shower head, this is how my previous set works and how it works in any houses' bathtub. He then blamed the manufacturer, said, that is how they are made by the manufacturer. I laughed and said no again. Then he threatened me saying that if I don't accept it, they will have to put back my previous set and charge more for that. I could not let them do that because they made it way worse, so I would not leave water on with my old tub faucet. Even these 2 guys, when I asked them is this how your bathtub faucet works, they could not say anything, just be silent and nodded. They knew this was wrong. I had to stop them and tell them to leave, otherwise I would call the police. I am ok with people making mistakes because no one is perfect, but you have to take responsibility for your mistakes and fix it. This guy, Jose, did not admit their faulty installation and never offer a solution to fix it. He was only texting and calling me to ask for more money. I don't want to be a bad person so I zelled him the cost of the parts. A few days later, I had to waste more time and money to fix their defective installation by another contractor. BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE…read more I am an avid Yelp user, so please consider this review more thoroughly compared to others. I have had a horrific experience with Gus and his "one man" crew installing tile at one of our properties. We were given a completion date of July 9th, and it still is not completed at this point. Anyone that does tile knows that when you install the tile, it must sit for 24 hours before doing anything else (walking on it, grout, move furniture on it, etc.). In 8 hours, my kitchen was had tile, grout, and a refrigerator sitting on it. By the way. They did NOT use a rapid set mortar. About 27%, or 165 pieces (yes, I counted each individual piece of tile) of the tile is hollow which puts it at high risk for cracking. My home does not have foundation issues, and we discussed one high area in a bedroom which we understand would not be even (4 hollow tiles there- not a huge problem). Gus and I met yesterday to discuss, and he admitted the integrity of the job is not up to par the pieces will need to be removed/reinstalled. He was far fetched on how or why his one man crew had done what they did, and he was appalled at their work. This company lacks credibility and their tile services are inadequate. The tile install rate is $2.75/square foot, but Gus pays his workers HOURLY. He has one ONE man working on our project since July 3rd (yes, the worker did come in on July 4th). Rather than bring in additional workers to help complete the project, Gus refused to do so. This sounds like he is trying to maximize profits by paying less. PLEASE BEWARE. I WILL POST AS MANY PICTURES AS I CAN. Response to owner's comment: It's great to finally hear back from you via Yelp (rather than call/text), Gus. I would like to point out the comment about Xander, and the fact that I never used any derogatory terms nor did I use explicit language. If I did, please screenshot that and post it below. My security cameras show that Danny was alone a large majority of the time, he occasionally had Xander, and you brought in someone to halfway grout freshly laid tile on July 10th. Finally, you brought in another worker on July 11th to cut corners and get the job done. I have consistently come in to communicate with Danny, and he truly is a great guy. He also has nothing but good words to say about you, your company, and the things you've provided him to make him successful. This has nothing to do with your staff. As I've stated before, I am confident that you as the general contractor lack integrity. Upon visiting you saw we had no floors & the estimate indicated prep/smooth/installation of tile. Unless the estimate isn't valid, that part can't be removed right? In regards to another crew being in the house, that is going to happen when you're on a big project. You continue to blame another crew for the inadequate installation from your company, as well as point fingers for alcohol? Please provide a picture as that will further help me address an issue with my other contractor. PLEASE REVIEW THE SCREENSHOT I UPLOADED OF DANNY NOT STARTING WORK AT 8AM AS PLANNED DUE TO A LATE NIGHT (he let me know he was out with some friends celebrating the 4th of July and had too much to drink). Side note: The trim Danny removed was part of the pre-hung doors that were installed at the house (which I had to pay to have them re installed). If you take a look at what I physically showed you on Tuesday night, the hollow pieces of tile are specifically from the tile that was installed Tuesday. The reason they're hollow is due to the fact that your crew quickly installed, grouted, and moved items (such as a refrigerator) back onto WET TILE. You came in and confessed that this is not properly installed, and that your crew did not follow the process correctly. It's great that you can admit all of this to my face, but as soon as you turn your back you come back and say otherwise? You sure were quiet and cooperative when I pointed out all of the flaws in your work from Tuesday. For clarity's sake, in layman's terms you cannot step, walk, work, stand, set ladders or tools on freshly laid tile that is drying... so why did I come home Tuesday to see a refrigerator sitting on wet tile that had been installed hours before? Do not steer away from my question. In person, you mentioned it was due to the fact that you were trying to get the job completed that day and your crew had to do that. It's quite hypocritical for you to point fingers at another crew while your crew is at fault for setting items on freshly laid tile. 1 Danny wrote "do not step" on my walls along w/ mortar handprints everywhere 2 Project delays are not from another crew working on other areas (untiled) 3 How am I unorganized? I relied on a contractor to provide services within the promised time frame, so how can that make me unorganized? 4 Please don't forget: POORLY ADHERED TILE DUE TO DANNY LAYING TILE, GROUTING, AND PLACING A REFRIGERATOR ON FRESH TILE.

We are extremely pleased with job Gutierrez Painting did on repainting our two story home. I had…read moredone some searching for painters to entrust with performing this service, and have zero regret on choosing Gus and his team. Gus came out and we talked about what we were wanting to do, he was patient and listened to the number of questions we had and also provided suggestions when we asked about certain things. Gus was able to provide us with a fair estimate and we felt confident to move forward with them. Gus had a team out rather quickly to do all the prep work and remove and replace some old and damaged trim around the windows and roofline. The crew seemed to work very quickly and efficiently to get out home ready. The painter(sorry forgot his name), asked me about specifics around door and window trim so he could move forward. They came back and painted the house and we could not be more pleased. They did an excellent job, I could not find any overspray or paint drops, which confirmed to me, the care and pride they took in doing the job. When the painter was finished, he mentioned that he had several people stop and ask for their information, my wife and I also had a number of people ask about who had painted our home and commented on how nice it looked. They cleaned up everything and even power washed the sidewalks where they had walked on the dirt and left shoe prints. I truly believe they left it better than they found it. Great Job!! Thanks Gus and the entire Gutierrez Painting crew!! Excellent job. Very pleased!!
