Rivco unfortunately seems to offer their warranty in name only. In early October I purchased a set of driving lights for my Honda Goldwing, which shipped quickly and I installed them almost immediately. Everything was fine until the first cold day of the season, when I woke up and found that one of the lights was cracked and not functioning. It was a fine pressure crack, almost certainly due to freezing temps. I messaged Rivco and they refused to honor any warranty, saying that the lens "must" have been hit by something and that this crack "must" have resulted in the light to fail. Rather than argue I just bought a new light from them. Before it even arrived though, the *other* light pod began to fail. There were no cracks or anything on this one, but it would randomly flicker and dim to the point that it was unusable. After testing my charging system and testing the light on a 12V auxiliary battery, the light itself continued to have issues and I ruled out an issue with the bike itself. Worth noting is that I used all of Rivco's provided wiring and nothing outside of that. I followed their instructions to the letter. Finally, when the replacement light arrived, I was frustrated to find that it wasn't a direct fit. The provided hardware was too large for the existing bracket and the existing bushing was too wide for the bracket on the new light. When brought up, they agreed that I could modify it to fit but didn't offer a correct replacement or proper bracket. Rivco's latest response was that I could either buy yet another light for $100 to replace the flickering light, or that I could pay to send them the flickering light to have them test it and, if it did prove to be defective, they could again ship me a replacement at my expense... Since they appear to me to be reluctant to honor their warranty, I don't have enough faith to send this in and waste more money just to have them tell me there's nothing they can do. I'm already $500 out and have three lights that I can't use. I'd say that if you want to buy from Rivco, at least make sure it's a bargain deal or that it's a part you're confident will not fail. They're cool parts and fitment is great, but I bought Rivco over Denali or a no-name eBay brand deliberately for their warranty, only to be let down. read more

Ordered tie down kit for an Indian Roadmaster and they sent bolts that were too short. When I emailed Rivco for a solution they instructed me to send back the short bolts. (Like they didn't believe me) or go to the hardware store and buy longer ones. They didn't even apologize for the inconvenience. This is what CS has become. Rivco is only concerned about the sale not the fitment. read more

Bought a part SKU220121 ( Part #: 220121 Mfg Part #: LED-1157 ) in Rapid City during Black Hills Classic i.e., Sturgis returned home and went to install (should be a simple install to all bikers) a light bulb - replace tail light stock 1157 with the LED product What a POS - Chinese made base was loose and pins either broke off or pressed back into the base. Needless to say total defective failure. Contacted RIVCO and they want me to send the part back to them for testing, rather than just replacing the junk. So no more RIVCO parts - normal dealers I buy from carry these parts but they will not receive any orders from me that carry a RIVCO brand. This desires a 0 star... read more

I ordered two flag holders for a Canam Spyder RT and it is now six (6) weeks and no delivery. I would email them after 3 weeks and each time I was told the delay was caused by a different reason. Would not do business with them again read more

Rivco Products stand behind their warranty! Last month on the way to Daytona bike feast, I lost part of my highway foot rest. When I returned, I spoke with them, sent them a photo of the part, and three days later I had a new highway foot rest! Glad to give them a five star rating. Several of my friends had recommended Rivco products, but based on my recent customer service experience, I will not be purchasing anything from this company. I came into possession of a bike that had a Rivco horn installed on it. The first day I went out with the bike, the horn cap fell off while riding. When I emailed Rivco to find out how to purchase a replacement part, I was told that I would have to buy the entire horn for $79.99. To replace a little metal cap that can't cost more that 10 cents to make. Apparently, they make good products but don't offer anything in the way of customer service. I'm just glad I experienced the poor service before I purchased any large ticket items, as I had been planning on. read more

My left Rivco Aero Highway peg broke on my first ride following installation. The peg is by far the flimsiest motorcycle peg I have ever seen due to intentional manufacturer cutouts. Instalarion screws are also so intentionally soft it is easy to strip the head on one or more with a single installation. Forget taking them on and off without extra screws.. Both my pegs flip out unexpectedly in turns. A slight touch on the ground and you will be spending nearly another $100 to replace the peg. Even though my pegs evidently did not meet manufacture specificatins and broke on the first set of turns on my first ride, Rivco has not stood behind the product in anyway. Custer service emails and phone calls often go unanswered. Once customer service does respond, the experience is a regrettable at best. read more

Ordered a nylon bag for $49.95. Not worth the money and tried to return same. Person I spoke with said there was a 30 day return policy even though the invoice said I had 1 full year. That person refused to accept item on return and I swore not to purchase from this company again. I had also purchased a $289 center stand for my bike but that will be the last item I buy from Rivco. Their invoice said nothing about 30 days, only the one year warranty and I was a week or two past the 30 day mark. read more

OK , after an initial bad expierence ,, what a turn around ! , this company stepped up to the plate and made this right , that is all i wanted . i got a call from a new employee - lumpy- he called, apologized , he new what happened was wrong , found a new unit for me , checked it out before they shipped it , all the same day that they recieved the damaged one back. All i can say is- I AM NOW HAPPY , i have put the stand on the bike and it is awesome , i now would highly recommend Rivco . I am glad to see that a company can see that the most important thing, is to make sure the customer is happy , after all , all we want is a good quality product and good service for the money we spend. read more
