Another is yoga, which is led by Janet (the owner). Janet is a wonderful teacher, always pushing one to exceed their own expectations. The third offering is wisdom qigong, a Chinese medicine practice that heals. It is also an excellent meditation. This is offered by Joan and she is also an amazing teacher. There is a lot of literature to read while there and you will likely always be offered tea. It is a wonderful welcoming touch. The biggest draw is how welcoming they are - I have a bigger and older body and they never made me feel lesser. If you are looking for yoga or qigong, you might want to check them out!

Like, I don't need or want to see what posts my friends are liking or what events they are interested in - or so I thought. About 3 nights ago, a friend marked that she was interested in a Trap Zumba Fest. Trap Zumba?? What is this madness?! I was highly intrigued! After perusing their website, I saw that they teach this class every Wednesday evening at 7pm; I knew that I had to check it out. We arrived a few minutes early to check in and pay. The cost is $10 per class or you can join one of their membership levels. Level 1: $85/month for unlimited classes every month. Level 2: For $65/mo you get to go to any 12 classes each month. Level 3: $45/mo gets you into 8 classes every month. They also have specials. I believe she said that the January special was $20, so be sure to ask when you arrive. THE WORKOUT! I wasn't too sure how this trap + Zumba relationship was going to work out, but I'm elated to report that the bond is strong! The music is trap and rap (although Demi Lovato made an appearance during the cool down. Sorry; not sorry!), and the moves are aerobic + Zumba + sass. And boy, did we get sassy! We were a shaking and a moving our grove thangs! I was a sweaty hot mess by the end of that hour. I felt like I received a total body workout, and I had a lot of fun! (Btw, the Trap Zumba Fest on Saturday is sold out!) The studio is really cute. The decor is reminiscent of Parisian posh boutiques. Lots of frilly this and fuzzy that. Even the mirrors were bordered with what looked like a wall-length purple feather boa. Super cute! They have a water cooler and cups, in case you forget your water bottle (like we did). Side note: There's also an adult corner, with "toys." (*wink wink* You know.) I am unsure of its capacity, but it is a small studio. When their membership and popularity explodes, they're gonna need a bigger space, but for now it works perfectly. They are located in the Grandview Plaza Center off of I-270 & Dunn Rd (same shopping plaza with the Schnucks, Walgreens, and Taco Bell), right next to the Subway. Aside from Trap Zumba, they offer other fun classes like Glow in the Dark Hip Hop Cardio, Twerk, Butts & Gutts, Trap Yoga, and more! With so many "hip" classes (do people still say "hip?" Maybe I should say "lit"??), there's never been an easier or more exciting way to get/stay fit and lose or maintain weight. If I lived here, I would 100% get one of their memberships.

I have done yoga classes in the past and I was expecting to do the same this last trip but was surprised with Mia. It's a constant movement type of yoga (I guess is how it can be explained) and it was a blast. The instructors were very charming and wanted nothing more than to make sure your experience was superb. The group I was with brought up heated yoga and they are immediately incorporated this practice into their schedule this next weekend. Just an excellent experience and they have a wonderful practice.

Classes are generally $10 per class and no pre-registration is required, except for the pre-natal yoga, which is wonderful. Really disappointed. I was looking forward to class this evening. Went to the website earlier. Paid the drop in fee. Rearranged my entire schedule in order to attend. Left my hotel in plenty of time and arrived at the address shown here (694 E Vandalia) 15 minutes early. Only problem? There is not a yoga studio at that address. I searched maps for another studio and found this (actually at 208 W Main)...according to the GPS, 18 minutes from where I was. So I drove over half an hour to get to yoga, but was then 5 minutes late. The kicker? This is only 10 minutes from my hotel! I tried to call the studio 3 different times while driving - I mean I didn't know if this was the one actually signed up for or not - all went directly to voicemail. I did walk in. Told the woman at the front desk about the address being wrong. She asked if I'd typed in the right one. Then I showed her Yelp and she replied, "that's a very old address". How would I-how would anyone-know that? I'm visiting from out of state so have nothing but Yelp to rely on for local establishments and addresses. I'm working the rest of the week and won't have another opportunity. She asked if I still wanted to join the class. I declined - walking into class 5 minutes late really didn't appeal to me. She did say my fee will be refunded and I appreciate that, but... Please keep your information current so that people who want to partake in your services, actually can or have time to find another local place to go.

I go at random times and am always surprised at how the ladies locker room & toilet area is always spotless. The pool and hot tub have always been clear & clean. We see them doing chemical checks. The trainers are friendly, kind, and knowledgeable. I think it is safe to safe we know all the staff and many of the patrons. The Sage Spa has friendly, kind staff that do a good job. The spa owner was there on a Sunday cleaning (love that personal interest), asked about a pedicure and she took time out to take care of me. Penny has done a blow out for me. Ive had the best hard gel nails from Jenny. Started 3mos ago getting 90min monthly massages from Gina. Love these ladies! I love that it's small, they know us so we aren't just a number, and literally have everything we need.
