My experience at River Coffee was disappointing. The customer service was terrible, and while the latte was passable, it didn't make up for the poor service. She rushed through my order and tossed my receipt into the trash. When I asked for it she apologized to the next customer and laughed at his comment that I can have his receipt. Definitely not the kindness that Boise people are known for. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place due to the lack of customer service. I should've read the Yelp reviews first.

Large (20 oz) iced white chocolate americano, no cream

Typically when I fly through Boise I'll go to Einstein Bros to also get a bagel, but every time I'm there the coffee just isn't good. I decided to get an iced white chocolate americano and am thoroughly impressed. All the white chocolate is actually mixed in instead of a puddle at the bottom. The shots don't taste burnt and it's a perfect ratio of ice and coffee. For a large water bottle and 20 oz coffee, I felt like $9.00 was actually a relatively fair price for an airport. I still need to try the coffee stand on the 1st floor, but would definitely go here again.

This was a nice coffee shop located in the Boise Airport. I visited River City Coffee & Cafe for some much-needed tea, and found that they had a nice seating area to lounge in until my flight. For teas they use Stash Teas, so ordered an earl grey and hung out at a table by the window. It's nice that the 16oz. and 20oz. are the same price for tea. The space isn't large, but they had plenty of seating for customers. It was nice to be somewhere quiet to read with my tea until I boarded for my flight. In addition to a full coffee and tea menu, they do serve food here, like pastries and sandwiches. I just like that at the Boise Airport there was a cafe that was non-Starbucks, choosing to support a local company. River City Coffee & Cafe can be found in the B terminal.

Pretty cute place. It was a little busy while I was there but the staff was getting through the orders quickly. Surprisingly decent food selection...I hadn't been planning to get more than coffee but I'm weak in the face of a good-looking quiche. Overall, a good place to chill out while you wait on a flight.

When this food stop first opened in the airport terminal, it was a Big City Coffee establishment. True to their name, portions were big and tasty, and the food was reasonably priced. Fast forward a couple of years and RCC&C is what you'd expect from most any other airport food stop. My quiche portion is now about 60% of what it used to be. They microwaved it, where it used to be warmed with a convection oven. River City is no Big City! But you will indeed feel as if you're in a big city airport when you stop here. Cheers.

If you need a latte in the Boise airport, they don't have Starbucks so your starstuck with River City Coffee.. But the coffee was not that bad, but then again, it was not that great! So maybe hit up a Bucks on the way to the airport... Cause you know that coffee on the plane is not that great either! This review was not that great either!

Definitely go to at the airport when you're in a hurry, but it is overly priced but if you're in a hurry, it's definitely go to. It's fast

There always seem to be quite a few flying around, and sometimes you feel like you have to fight them for your food. LOL! I really wish they could find a way to get that under control because it definitely takes away from the dining experience. Other than that, we enjoy coming here. This place is phenomenal and seriously one of the best breakfast places in all of Idaho. I hesitate to say that because there can definitely be a wait because of its popularity, but facts are facts. My wife and I went to Moe Joe's for breakfast recently and man was it good. I ordered the chicken fried steak and was stunned at the amount of food. Where to start. The steak was incredibly tender and enormous. The homemade biscuit was flaky and perfectly baked. The sausage gravy was meaty and flavorful. And the crispy hashbrowns seemed to cover half the plate. Then there are the house-made jellies. Who does that and how can I get more! The service was prompt and friendly with a great wait staff that made everything easy. The vibe of the restaurant is "friendly neighborhood spot" and feels like home. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. These folks know how to do breakfast right and I cannot wait to go back.

And after finding out that Blue Bench Brunchette and Biscuits and Hogs were all affiliated, I made a point not to spend a dime at any of those businesses. I recently found out that Blue Bench is under new management. Knowing that this joint has new owners, I was totally down to give it a shot. New management means new expectations and service. I was done doing labs at the hospital. I told my husband let's go get breakfast and we made our way in. I love love love how darling this venue is. It's bright, fun and girly. I adore the decor. It's a smaller venue so the space is cute and dainty. Even though it's a smaller venue, tables and booths are nicely spaced out. You're not on top of each order. I can imagine this place being crazy on the weekends so I'm happy we decided to try this place out on a Monday. It was chill. Our server got some coffee and apple juice started for us while we looked over the menu. Everything looked so good! For brunch my husband got the Brunch trio. He picked cinnamon roll French toast, a cinnamon roll and some eggs. I got the sunrise sampler with cinnamon roll French toast. I had to try a little bit of everything. I also snagged a side of country gravy for my potatoes. Food came out really fast and it all looked fantastic! The cinnamon roll French toast was so fragrant. My husband's cinnamon roll looked divine. And the sunrise sampler was all about business! It was hearty! If you ever eat here, the cinnamon roll French toast is a must! It's crispy on the outside topped with butter and cinnamon sugar dust. The inside is soft and warm. Killer good! I did take a bite of my husband's cinnamon roll. It was mehhh. But I think if it was served warm, it would have been that much better. It was cold, dry and stiff. The bacon and sausage on my plate were cooked perfectly! My eggs were great and the potatoes were tasty! I do wish that the country gravy was not lumpy. I couldn't get over the lumps in the gravy from it sitting. I had about a couple spoons of it and couldn't eat it. It looked esthetically displeasing. Breakfast was good. Aspen did a decent job taking care of us. The venue is super charming. But the cinnamon roll was cold and honestly tasted like it wasn't freshly baked. The country gravy was lumpy and not very hot. It sucked to pay for a side of it and not enjoy it. Overall our visit was great. I don't know when we will be back but the cinnamon roll French toast will be a must have the next time we come in.

I came here for a late lunch around 2 pm after arriving in Boise. They weren't crowded at this point but business wasn't dead either. My waitress was very friendly. Inside has a lived-in, intimate feel, but it was pretty dark, so much that I wasn't sure they were actually open as I was opening the door. I had the French dip sandwich with a side of tomato basil soup. The sandwich was delicious and tasted homemade in the best way. The "meat" of the sandwich was seitan. I don't THINK it was a perfect meat replica (but I've never had a real French dip), but it was very flavourful. I loved the flavour and the thick cut of their bread, but it didn't have much structure and fell apart easily as I was eating which made the sandwich very messy. The tomato basil soup was a little different. It was slightly creamy but brothy and a little chunky - not a smooth puree. Again, it tasted great and was nice and light, which was a good contrast to the very rich sandwich. It was a little slow, especially considering they weren't that busy. I didn't really mind since I wasn't on a schedule, but this is something to be aware of - don't come here for a quick meal. Not cheap, but worth it for the quality.
