Just moved here to Boise and I'm in a hunt for amazing brunch / coffee places.. not only for the aesthetics but most importantly, the taste & quality of their food & service. Hubby and I came across this place and thought we should try it, and we did it. NO RAGRETS. The food is amazingly fresh and delicious. It was just a bummer that they didn't have avocados at the time of our visit. But the breakfast sandwich & breakfast burrito was superb! Matcha latte with soy milk & honey was also delivious. My husband got a regular latte and that was also good! The workers are nice & friendly. Very casual place. Could even come here after a long walk from the greenbelt. 10/10 would definitely recommend.

Honey bee latte

I recently enjoyed a morning date at Caffeina. It was a beautiful Sunday morning and we were hoping for coffee, breakfast, a time to leisure and play a little cribbage. Caffeina was great for such an occasion. Initially, when we entered, it was crowded and I didn't think we'd be able to get a seat but while we were ordering a few tables became available--they're a popular spot! I ordered one of the specialty, seasonal lattes (the honey bee latte) as well as their vegetable quiche. The quiche was outstanding, Seriously, ample and delicious. The service was friendly and the space is lovely and was perfect for lingering over coffee and cribbage. The coffee itself wasn't my favorite--not quite strong enough for my taste and the honey latte was overly sweet. Aside from that hiccup, I'd definitely come back for some bites!

I love love love this coffee shop! Discovered while looking for a place to work for a few hours before heading to the Boise airport, and delighted to have found it. Excellent coffee, fun vibe, great old-school (gen X) playlist - it has all the things!

Supreme breakfast burrito

This coffee joint is right down the road from my house. I have had coffee here a couple times with some friends. Today I stopped in to grab a breakfast burrito. One thing about this place is that it's always poppin! It was great seeing all these people out and about on this rainy Saturday morning. I ordered the supreme breakfast burrito. It is loaded with eggs, sausage and jalapeno bacon. It's a good sized burrito. It was loaded with all the goodies. I also grabbed salsa and sour cream. It was so good! I did have to add a little salt to the burrito. It lack flavor but the salt did is magic. I was only able to finish half. I plan on sharing next time. I love the vibe of this joint. There's comfy couches, chairs and plenty of tables to do work or chill. Plenty of plants ask over. The lighting isn't bright which creates such a chill vibe. I look forward to coming back for goodies and coffee sometime soon.

Inside with lots of seating

This isn't the first time I've stopped by for coffee and it won't be the last. A cafe with friendly staff is always a plus for us. Ample of parking spaces. We were able to find seating even when it looked busy inside. Our drinks were made quick. This was the first time I tried peach latte with oat and it was not too sweet. This place was very lively at 10am with guests working/studying here. They also have store pups who'd wander around and the labs were the absolute cutest.

Caffeina has quickly become one of my favorite coffee shops to work out of. Pretty standard good free Wifi which is super important. It's right off of State St. and has a great parking lot that they also share with a laundry mat, public library, and antique store. The free parking is a big thing for me and I love looking through the antique store after getting some work done. There's great (covered) outdoor seating and tons of beautiful plants everywhere. I love the vibey atmosphere that all the plants and decor give off. They have various types of seating - your standard 4 top tables, longer tables that accommodate 6+ people and couches if you want to get super comfy. I usually either get a flavored iced latte, cold brew, or iced Americano. The prices are on par with most other hip coffee shops like this. They also serve beer and food! The quiche here is huge! I got the bacon quiche with a side of sour cream and salsa for 50cents. There's always tons of students studying and other folks working out of here. I have on a few occasions had someone ask to sit with me because all other tables were full- but I everyone here is really friendly.

Two enterprising young women are owners of this gem of a popular West Bench neighborhood gathering…read morespot that they created in what was an old dump of a 1950's era strip mall space and funded in part with crowd sourcing. Being curious since they opened this in Fall'ish 2024 and finding myself in the neighborhood, this was a destination stop for my husband and me when we went in about 11:30 on a weekday for coffee and a nosh. Pride of ownership shines in the clean and funky feeling interior and it is clearly popular because it was full, almost every seat, of people that seemed from the neighborhood, including a number of parents with young children. They advertise this as coffee and market, but I honestly didn't notice the market part, in that things for sale didn't jump out at me. That may have been because I was just trying to navigate to a seat in and out in the crowded space. THE MO: Coffee and the limited menu for food is ordered at the counter, carry to your seat and bus your own when finished. Although we were the only people at the counter and there were two people in the kitchen, it took quite some time for someone to come to take the order, although once someone finally saw us, they were pleasant, if not welcoming, in taking the coffee order and then again when my hubby went back to order pastries to go with it. MENU: Coffee, other beverages and a very small option of eats is listed behind the counter and on a paper menu there. Options included soup of the day and Gaston's bakery pastries. There were some breakfast sandwiches by local provider Poppyseed Bakery in the fridge section, we weren't told about them but seeing them when passing by the fridge on a trip to the loo, asked if they could be heated and were told they could be. We chose a couple of pastries ($5.50 each) and were reminded why we seldom buy Gaston's products for being too buttery and one note. The cortado ($4) were good. I noticed a woman at the table across from us who was sipping a beverage and eating what looked like a sandwich she had carried in. I don't know if that is part of allowable stuff or not. The pottery used for all of their coffee service, ours and the mugs at other tables, is great. AMBIANCE: They did an admirable job here of making this light and bright and just funky enough with pride of ownership and loving care in maintenance sparkling through. Seating includes a few level in, not step up, booths along one wall, a sofa and chairs near the front and many standard height tables and chairs (maybe too many when all full as getting to seat is tough) and a play area for kids in the corner. It had far less comfortable 'breathing room' space than I anticipated from photos. But I didn't take interior photos to post because I think it is rude to do that when lots of people are going to be in them who maybe don't want to be. ;-) LOO: There are two and both are uni and sparkling clean with great murals on the wall and good plumbing fixtures. My husband even pointed out the "cool" sink. Both are ADA compliant so kudos to them for that. (Yes, it is law and code but you'd be astounded by how many ignore both.) ACCESSIBILITY: One ADA parking spot right outside the door. (There are too few spots for the parking lot but that is not the coffee shop owners' failure. That is the lot owner's issue.) Level in the door. All on one floor. The tables would probably work for a wheelchair user to roll under. But it would be near impossible, based on my experience yesterday (I have had multiple sclerosis since age 20 and sometimes use a wheelchair) for a wheelchair user to get between tables and chairs for a clear path of travel to get to seating or the loo.

It's been a while since I have been in. The shop was still being worked on the last time I grabbed a drink. Now that it's finally completed, it's just absolutely stunning. It was stunning before but it's even more mysterious and beautiful now. The setting at this venue is just marvelous! The vibe of the shop is so romantic to me. A sweet gal helped me today. So kind with the prettiest smile! I got a 24oz iced americano with sugar free vanilla and room for cream. I checked out the joint while it was being made. There was a guest before me so it gave me a chance to look at the merch and decor. My drink looked nice and rich before I added the cream. I asked the sweet gal for a straw that wasn't communal. Baby girl obliged with a smile and got me one from the back. I appreciate her so much! And let me tell you, I had the best iced americano to get me through the rest of my day! It was perfectly made. You can taste the espresso, it wasn't watered down. The vanilla was present and since I added the half and half, it was perfect! I appreciate that that she used cold water that had been chilled to make me americano. It made a big difference not melting the ice and watering down the espresso. It was a nice jolly of caffeine! I adore the barista that helped me today. She was gorgeous inside and out. And she killed it with my fabulous drink! I look forward to coming back soon and having another 24ozer.

I remember they have baked goodies that my husband would be interested in. He's doesn't like all the frilly stuff, just the good ol classics and Eagle Coffee has plenty of that! We came in around 12:30. It was pretty chill. A few guests outside enjoying the September weather and a couple guests inside. We checked out the food cases and found what we wanted. In my last review I had the keto quiche. It was a little overwhelming for me. The Mediterranean quiche was suggested so of course I had to try it. And it looked good in the food case. We were instantly greeted by a bunch a happy faces. I ordered the ham and cheese croissant for my husband. My Mediterranean quiche was ordered. I snagged a small iced cinnamon honey dirty chai with almond milk and a huckleberry lemonade for the husband. I believe everything we got is going to be so good! The ham and cheese croissant looked mighty tasty! It was nicely heated. You can tell it was nice and hot cause the ham and cheese was starting to slide out of the croissant. Husband smashed the whole thing and I wasn't even offered a bite. My quiche had beautiful pieces of zucchini and cheese on top. I really enjoyed the sun dried tomatoes in it. The filling was fluffy and soft. It was a great suggestion from the manager! I might have them heat it up just a hair longer next time, it could have been warmer. The huckleberry lemonade was killer!! It was tart, sweet and bubbly. I was only allowed one sip and I made sure it was big! My first round of chai did not look like normal and it didn't taste good. It was so dark and bitter. I did ask the barista if there was chai in my drink cause it didn't taste like chai. After we got it figured out, a new drink was made. My first one was not what I had ordered, I don't know what it was. My second round was almost perfect. The honey cinnamon chai was so good! It was sweet and spicy. I love the added cinnamon in there. It tastes like it should be cold and holiday season outside. I did pay for a shot of espresso to make it dirty which I never got. It was almost a cup of perfection. I really enjoyed our little coffee date here today. The food was good. Our drinks were tasty. The staff was nice. And it's conveniently down the road from us. I'm happy we stopped in today for our Sunday goodies. I look forward to another round of food and drinks from this joint.

And this shop is right down the road from me? This sounds convenient and great! Walking in I didn't know what to expect. As soon as you walk in, you see a fun play area for the kiddos. To the side of the shop is the coffee bar and tables for parents or guests to hang out at. I approached the coffee bar and checked out the drink menu. There were 3 people working behind the counter. I was patiently waiting to get greeted as I didn't want to interrupt a full conversation they were having with another guest. Honestly I did stand there for a minute cause they were too busy chatting. After what seemed like an abnormal amount of time to let someone just stand there I was finally greeted. The gal behind the register seemed new. I got my drink ordered with her and checked out the joint while it was getting made. Not gonna lie, this concept is dope. A big play area that your little one can play in while you're enjoying your coffee. There's books, toys, a small play house with a slide. I did notice a baby who was about 1 playing with a squishy rocking horse. He was really enjoying himself. The floors are also padded so it creates a nice cushion for your kiddos. I would bring my kid here to play while I get some chill time and be able to enjoy a drink. You can't completely take your eyes off of them. The walls for the enclosure is kinda high and you can't see what they are doing if you're sitting at one of the tables. My drink finally got finished. Their small drinks are 16 oz. I was worried that my drink would be watered down cause of the extra 4 oz. Some joints fill the 4 extra oz with water which defeats the whole purpose of getting an americano. But surprisingly it wasn't. The espresso was very noticeable. The sugar free vanilla and cream was all balanced in my drink. I really enjoyed it! I don't have kids in this age group to really use this joint for what is used for but the coffee was good! And they serve food and baked goodies here. It has a very local, community feel that's getting harder to find. The coffee itself is fine -- not terrible, not "drive across town for it" amazing either. I usually just get the unlimited refill cup and drink from one of their mugs while I work for a bit. Where this place really shines is the baked goods and breakfast food. You can smell everything being made from their little kitchen, and it feels genuinely homemade in a way most coffee shops don't anymore. Their molasses cookies are somehow available year-round and I'm not exaggerating when I say if they're sold out, my day takes a turn. The quiche Lorraine is also legitimately excellent with a buttery crust, and they usually have a surprisingly good variety of gluten-free baked goods too. One thing I oddly appreciate: no music and no giant café chaos. Also no plugs, so this isn't the place to camp for 6 hours on a laptop. But if I need a quiet spot to answer emails or get 1-1.5 hours of work done without distraction, this is actually one of my favorite places to go.
