Called on Thursday to set up a rock chip repair. I was told to come in any time between 1-4 the next day. I came in at 315 and see a sign on the door that they closed at 230. Nobody called me back to tell me. I took off work early and drove all the way across town for no reason. I have to take more time off work next week to try to handle it AGAIN. Unfortunately for me I've had two broken glass jobs in the past couple months. One from hail damage to a window, and the second from a rock (or something) through a plate glass door (by a weedwacker). Scott took care of both very quickly and I thought at a reasonable cost. We were introduced to River city glass by the seller of our new house. They were supposed to come fix the window at the house but did not get the right size of window window, so they had to come back and put in a new window. They asked for my number As we had already closed on the house and they needed to get in touch with me to put in the glass that was the right size. Fast forward a few days we asked them to look at a couple more windows that needed sealed. I talked to the guy about coming out and replacing the windows and he took my info and said he's get back to me as soon as he ordered the windows. Several weeks past before I heard anything. Finally they called and said they had the windows and blamed the weather for the delay. I had someone meet them there to let them in to install the three windows. After it was done they told her that they would contact me by telephone and or send a bill. Not only did they not contact me by telephone at all, they did not send a bill. Keep in mind this was over about a 10 day period. They got a hold of the person who was there the day they did install the windows and said they had sent me emails but did not have my number. They sent me emails to an email I do not use very regularly so I had no idea I had the messages.Keep in mind, this was about 10 days after they installed the window. I was under assumption that I was going to receive a bill in the mail. I checked my mail several times but did not have a bill. I wasn't worried as it hadn't been very long at all. Clearly they had my address as they installed the windows at my house that day. They also clearly had my phone number from when they called me to install the first windows from the other homeowner.I assumed a bill would be coming soon. After discussion with them, they agreed to send the bill to my email. I got on to check my email to get the bill they supposedly sent again. It was a threatening letter that they were going to put a lien on my property. So literally, this company was going to threaten to put a Lien on my property before they even issued me a bill. They had my address and phone number but were seemingly so disorganized that they couldn't send me a bill before threatening me. I have never in all of the times I have had contractors come to my house had them threaten me with a lien on my property after less than two weeks and after them being the ones that dropped the ball! I always pay my bills and I pay them on time. Not only was I upset, but I was also extremely offended. To send an email threatening to place a lien on my property before they even attempted to send me a bill seems like a really shady business practice. I do know that I will never recommend river city glass to anyone who needs work. This company just left a very bad taste in my mouth. I think they are petty, untrustworthy, and honestly have terrible communication. I would think twice about hiring them. They had my number at least on two different occasions and somehow screwed that up as well. I think the part that really makes me mad the most is that it would've been so very simple for them to send me a bill to my mail box and I would have paid it right away. They definitely had that information and chose to threaten me over email instead of send a bill like any reputable business would have. This is what I was expecting the entire time. Now that I know how they treat their customers I will make sure I let everyone know in the future. I love supporting small businesses. This one, never again! read more

I had a windshield installed a year ago by these folks and rust began to form around the windshield. They had me bring it in to see if it was indeed their fault and they had their own tech look at it. He said that it looked like they didn't use enough primer before replacing the windshield. I also had an independent body shop look at it and tell me the same thing. The owner of River City however was not convinced by his own tech or the independent body shop and decided to look at it himself at which point he decided they had nothing to do with it, and that I should buzz off. Soooooo... 1. An independent body shop says they were at fault. 2. Their own tech said they were at fault. 3. This truck has never had any rust before this moment, just after they replaced the windshield, and now rust shows up.... Around the windshield. Anyways, they won't stand behind their work, don't let the "Mom and Pop" feel fool you, they're a shady bunch who will NOT stand behind their work. This actually cost me an additional 400.00 to have repaired. Stay away! read more

We had River City Glass come to replace 3 panes of glass in the house we are selling. We had one appointment for the measurements. Then it took a week for them to order the glass. When the time came for them to install the windows, they found out the size was wrong! So now we have to set up an escrow account so the new owners can find a responsible company to replace the glass. read more

I chose river city glass because it was close to home and they accepted every insurance. I called to make an appointment for a small rock chip. The receptionist was very friendly and very helpful in finding a time that worked for me that fit into their schedule. I got there and the man who I would have assumed to be the owner came out and took a look at my windshield. My chips were extremely small but I still wanted to get it fixed before it got worse and he said there was nothing to repair but he would fill in the chips for free of charge. I only knew of one but he saw a second one right away. The inside was nice, there was a vending machine for pop and some kid toys. The chairs were obviously old but I was only there for 10 min so it was fine. The receptionist was very helpful also. I asked her for a quote for my moms car and she was glad to look that up for me. When my car was done the man drove it back around front for me and showed me exactly what he did and I was on my way! read more

We had an unfortunate incident a few months ago, we contacted several places who could not come out for several weeks even for an estimate. River City was able to come do an estimate within a couple days. They were easy to work with and the prices were reasonable. The glass was installed very nicely. Paid $19.95 to have a rock chip repiared on my windshield. I've had a few rock chip repairs and they were pretty much invisible. This one looks like the chip is still there! The guy was nice and the service was timely. But, if I get another rock chip, I'm won't be going back here. read more

I went here because they are close to home. Price comparison between River City Glass and others was varied. We had our windshield replaced for less here but rock chip repair was more. The employees are all nice and the work was done well. We are happy with the business and I would recommend it to anyone needing glass work. My passenger window was bashed in and my purse stolen while I was walking my dog on the western trail of Lake Zorinsky. I called River City Glass, pretty shaken up, and was so relieved that they could work me in right away and had a window that worked despite having an older car. The receptionist was very warm and understanding, and the guys working on the window were very efficient cleaning up the broken glass and installing the new window. Further, they allowed me to use a phone line in their office as my cell phone lost power as I was trying to contact credit card companies to cancel cards. I did business with River City Glass in 2014 having them replace "three" full door glass panes as seals had all given. Their work was superb, yes, quoted cost equaled full cost of job, timely arrival to appointment, pleasant employees, and a ten-year guarantee on work. So of course, when a fourth door's pane needed to be replaced this month, there was no doubt where to return for service. The owner, himself, showed up to estimate and complete the work. The service was as professional and pleasing as the first time, including their cleanup. And, the glass is virtually invisible!
