I sent a quote request through their website with a photo of my damaged glass. I then received an email response asking me for a full photo of the window, which I didn't believe was necessary, but whatever. I immediately followed-up with a photo, but never heard back from this company. Glass Doctor of Omaha must be SO busy that they no do not need your business. I may need to get into the glass business if you can be selective and simply ghost customers. This company must be balling out of control! read more

It's late in getting posted, but I was extremely pleased with the glass enclosure for my shower! They came out and explained just what kind of glass could be used, and suggested a way to make my shower look like a million, without spending nearly that much. Another quote from a shower glass company in the area was twice the price of Glass Doctor. The install took only an afternoon, 5 years ago, and I have had no issues at all! Worst experience ever. Had windshield replaced and they couldnt get the side moldings fastened. They didnt know what that were doing. The said these are "tricky". 3 times they redid the moldings and i still had someone else fix it right. One of the times it actually blew off the car. That whole area was exposed all winter to the weather. While they were removing the excessive amount of glue they applied, they ripped off my paint. Then they claimed it could have been rust. Update: We were able to get the window serviced finally. However, Glass Doctor kept our deposit for a new window (which was not needed per the technician) and also charged for the servicing... I attempted to call to get a refund from the office for our window deposit, but they did not seem to understand what I was asking for and said I'd have to wait for a manager that was not in the office. The window deposit should have been refunded as soon as we had our initial tech visit and it was determined that wasn't needed. Since safelite doesn't repair sunroofs I was directed to glass doctor of Omaha. After taking it there at first I was told it would probably be ready the next day and I said with all the glass that went into the sun shade they would probably have to drop the headliner to clean all the glass so they said it could be a few days. The moveable glass on a panoramic sunroof was the piece that broke. After 3 weeks we were told that insurance was not approving anything so after calling insurance I was told that glass doctor wouldn't send any pictures to show the damage and that glass doctor was wanting to replace the entire sunroof but as separate parts and not as an assembly. After I provided pictures the insurance company did approve a complete sunroof assembly. one was located and ordered. The assembly was suppose to arrive on a Friday of week number 4 and installed on Monday. We got a call on Monday saying it was done and when I showed up I noticed a nice dent on the top of the vehicle, after asking the manager he told me he didn't work on it and walked away. After I got home I started looking at the work and noticed the entire sunroof was not replaced, the movable glass that was replaced had plastic sliders that travel down the guide rails were broke and the bolts that hold the glass to the slides were all loose and one bolt was missing and two others were phillips head bolts they got at ace hardware (they left the receipt in our car) instead of the torx bolts they should have been. After all this the owner Matt got mad that I called him to ask for my deductible back and told me if I wanted it back I had to give him the glass back. Also after my insurance company contacted him he admitted that his employees were trying to make a quick buck so basically admitting they were guilty of insurance fraud. So after not having a car for a month I still don't have a car that is drivable, I have a headliner that is still full of glass, I have a piece of glass that was replaced but can't use because they broke the guides and the glass is still in the channel, I have a dent on the roof and i still can't find anyone that will fix the car after glass doctor completely messed it up. I would have given them a second chance if the owner wasn't completely unprofessional and wouldn't take responsibility for any damage they did. After trying to fraud my insurance company I would think you would do whatever it took to make things right but nope. My insurance company even called the place they supposedly got the sunroof assembly from and they said it was still there waiting for confirmation from glass doctor so they could send it but Matt told me his workers threw it away. Be very careful if you ever use glass doctor of Omaha and I think he owns more than one location. read more

Unbelievable! Glass doctor called and set up an appointment for 1:00 Wednesday. I got there early for repair of shattered moonroof. I planned on staying for repair because I live 1 hour away. They pulled my vehicle in shop, tore up the collision wrap, that was holding the shattered window in place, then the tech. comes out and said, "I'm backed up, and it's going to take 4-5 hours to repair, we need to reschedule". Tech said, I will tape it back up and you can call and reschedule. I'm not happy to have to figure out when I can bring my vehicle back, but they got you over a barrel with full thrust. So I left, but not 2 blocks away the tape gives way and glass is everywhere, and my vehicle is open to the world. I drive back to shop and tell tech, I can't drive the vehicle in this condition. SO, I left my vehicle there and called an UBER home which cost $77. So now it is Friday, I left my vehicle there a day and a half. Called this morning and it is still not done!!!! I want my car back. Why is it my problem if you can't figure a schedule out. They said my car will be done Monday by close. What I want to know is how in the world this company ever received a 5 star review. Trust me, you don't want this kind of service. Customers need to know what they are getting into before you call this company. read more

Omaha Ne and was told if the contractor who was doing our bath remodel did not make the payment which by the way was a contract between the two of them... not involving us ... that The Glass Doctor was going to put a lien against our home if it was not paid by Monday... this was on Friday... I was told that this could prevent us from selling our home not that we have any intentions of doing so pretty sure I knew that but thanks for the heads up Glass Doctor wow do you think we are idiots??? Your company has a lot of nerve threatening us!!! I would recommend not to ever do business with this company and make sure your contractor does also not do business with them... I took a screen door in to have the screen replaced. It took 3 weeks and 3 trips there to get the door. Price was $163.94 for a screen and the rubber piece that goes around it. Overall I felt ripped off and treated rudely when asking about my door and price involved. No I won't return for service here. read more

First the quoted me 225.00 to secure and replace the window. Then when I gave them the address it was another 100.00 to come to 149th st. In bennington. So it was 350.00 to secure and replace window. They did not replace the glass and I was told they would. Unfortunately my son paid them upfront which he had to. Never called us back. Now they want to charge 1,110.00 yo put in a marven window and refused to give me the measurements. If I where to go to someone else. Just cause I live out here I'm elderly and disabled. I called Glass Doctor to repair a chip in my windshield. I said we are socially distancing due to our child being medically fragile. I asked for no contact and paid over the phone. when the technician showed up with no gloves our a mask on he started to get in my truck. I urgently and emphatically said stop or something more do not get in. He said he had to get in to get it done. This is not an option for us. If our son gets COVID he will not survive! Called to get a quote on a broken window in my home, and was told they would be there between 1-3. Never showed, called at 3:30 and was told "Well, I drove by to look at it, its going to be about $$$". Discussed for a while, and asked them to move forward. I ordered glass shelves and when I picked them up they were scratched. The district manager (Matt) "offered" to recut them for me so I (of course) agreed. I picked them up and paid ($59.79) and took them home. The measurements were off on the right side by 1/2" (my fault) so I took the shelves back and requested them to take a approx. 1/2" off the length of the right side but it should taper so nothing was taken off the left side. However, based on my last dealing with Matt, I requested the receptionist to check the glass for scratches and she found none. I came back to pick up my glass and was told there was no charge. Upon inspection, there were now scratches on the glass. When I brought this up to Matt, he said he cut the glass himself and there weren't scratches so I must have brought them back that way. Lucky for me, the receptionist was standing right there and she told him there weren't any scratches when I dropped them off. Kudos to the receptionist! If you aren't already intrigued, this is where it gets even more interesting. I took the shelves home and now the shelves have an extra inch taken off the width so it doesn't fit in the brackets anymore!! I took the shelves back and Matt said he personally cut the glass and nothing was taken off the width. I said "are you accusing me of cutting the glass and bringing it back?" and he said no. He didn't know how that happened and that I probably measured wrong. I asked him to check the measurements on his computer from my initial request and then measure the shelves I brought back. He measured and (low and behold) the shelves were 1 inch short on the width. He then proceeded to tell me that the measurements in the system may not be right. I told him they were right because they fit when I brought them home the first time. He complained and basically said that he has already spent so much time and money on these shelves and they normally do not allow people to measure themselves because of measuring errors, etc. I agreed to bring him back a template of what I needed. You'll remember above he said "no charge". *** Today I discovered another charge for $59.79 on my bank statement. After some thought and based on the fact that I didn't trust him and didn't want to give him any more excuses, I called and asked how much Glass Doctor charges to come out and measure. The receptionist asked what I needed to have installed and I told her glass shelves. The receptionist said there is no charge for measuring. I scheduled to have someone come to my house to measure on Monday 3.27. The person took all of 2 minutes and left. On Tuesday, I received a call from Matt asking me how I wanted to pay for the glass? I told him I already paid and relayed the story above. He remembered me!! LOL. He told me that I still had to pay for the measuring. I told him about my conversation above and he said measuring is not free....how's is he supposed to make money? Also, he said someone will need to come back out because he remembered these shelves and the measurements taken by the Glass Doctor employee were wrong. I told him that I wanted my money back and he told me they don't give refunds for cut glass. I asked to speak to the owner and was told that the owner doesn't want to speak to me. He said I'll see if there is anything we can do (and hung up)...so far no call back from anyone and now I'm out $119.58!! I think I'll see if I can get in touch with the owner tomorrow..... Update 4/6/2016 - I spoke to Matt (District Manager) on Monday 4/4 and was told he would issue the refund for the 2nd charge on my card. Today is Wednesday and I still do not see a credit to my card..... Also, I was presented with the following two options: 1.) Glass Doctor would refund my 1st charge of $59.76 and the 2nd $59.76 charge and re-cut the shelves IF AND ONLY IF I removed my review from Yelp. 2.) They would keep my $59.76 and they would not re-cut the glass shelves for me. Update 4/8/2016 - Matt came over my house and measured the area for the shelves, cut the glass and installed everything today. He also apologized for all of the hassles. Outstanding customer service!!! However, I still have not received a refund.... Updated 4/10/2016 - All of the money was refunded to my account. Requested their services for replacement of China cabinet glass shelving of 4 pieces of glass. Was pleased to find out that they would send a person to come measure to ensure accuracy. That happened on schedule. When the order came in, he had put down insulated glass shelves, which were not necessary for an inside piece of furniture, so that had to be questioned & price adjusted. Also, at the time, he was told 4 separate shelves were needed because of how they fit through the doors. Upon arriving to pick them up, found they had been cut as 2 long pieces instead of the 4 that were requested. They were refused & the lady in the office understood that they had to be cut in half. Waited another week & had to call to find out status of them. She stated that the 2 pieces would fit & the man would come out free of charge to put them in. Which wasn't the point, 4 had been requested at the time of measurement, which he totally ignored. So now, it's another 7-10 days wait as they have to reorder them. Who's the customer? The price was right. The service was EXCELLENT!! I had a window that they replaced but it was too big to operate properly going up and down. They warned me to keep the window rolled up and would get the proper replacement. A few days later got the call to bring it in, might take an hour. I showed up on my lunch hour, they changed the window in about 15 minutes and sent me on my way and I came back within my lunch hour with time to spare. Went to get car window fixed. They could not fix the issue without a piece they said cost over $400. Every other business I received a quote (4 different places in Omaha) for the same piece claimed it would be over $100 cheaper for the same piece. Still was charged almost $90 to have them put the window up but did not fix any issue. I've gone to auto glass places before who would not take advantage of a customer like that and over charge them to not fix anything. Heads up, if you have to wait in their office building, DON'T. There were dead crickets, spiders, and roaches all over the bathroom and waiting area. I even found a bug alive in one of their magazines. Was very disappointed. read more

AWFUL! My insurance company referred me and they did awful work. They replaced my sunroof and left glass in the head liner. When I called, they said no one ever complains and to deal with it. They said you can't get all the glass out! They left glass in my backseat where my children sit. The owner said it wasn't a big deal because it's tempered glass and shouldn't cut them. They had my car twice and still did a bad job. When I picked my car up for the second time, my seat belts were broke and I had grease all over my head liner. Plus, I had blood marks on the outside of my back doors, but I thought they couldn't get cut on tempered glass? I would not recommend this place, stay away. read more

I took my husbands 1998 Chevy Tahoe to have the windshield replaced in November 2015 for part of his Christmas gift. I was told prior to the apt. that it would take a maximum of 2.5 hours total. I waited for 3.5 hours for the windshield to be replaced. When they were finished, I took the truck back to my husband for him to inspect it. The windshield was off centered, the seal was not done correctly, there were small cracks in the dash, and they cut the wires to his rear view mirror, which resulted in the temperature and direction not working anymore. We called and asked for them to come out and fix it, as they do mobile work as well. They refused to come out and fix it and we had to take it back to them. We took it back and they argued that everything was fine regarding how the windshield was positioned and the seal. They advised that the cracks in the dashboard were there before they touched the dash. They admitted to cutting the wires in the mirror, and apparently they just hoped we wouldn't notice. They told us that we would have to bring it back yet again to have the mirror replaced as they didn't have a the parts to do it that day. We took it back a few days later and they replaced the mirror During this whole time, they never apologized and never offered any money off. Due to the seal not being done properly, the windshield is cracked again. While the windshield is under warranty and Glass Doctor would likely "fix" it for free, we are using another service as we don't feel like dealing with their horrible work and their even worse customer service. We would not recommend this place to anyone ever again, which is sad because my husband is in the construction and remodeling field and used to use them for a lot of glass work. read more
