My husband and I came in for dinner and sat at the bar. If you're a fan of Guinness, this is the place for you!! I've never seen such a (huge) menu of "layered" Guinness beers! Anyways, I ordered the Fisherman's pie for dinner and it was fantastic; the ultimate comfort meal and I licked the bowl clean! My only complaint is I wish the portion size was bigger since it was that good! Definitely check this place out :)

They make their own corned beef so it's actual corned beef and not like sliced corn beef from a deli. We had fried pickles as an appetizer and they were good, just your basic fried pickles, we enjoyed them. My daughter got 6 mild buffalo wings & a prime rib sandwich. She said both were good. She said the wings were good but it's hard to mess up buffalo wings. She really enjoyed the prime rib sandwich and I took a bite of it and it was very good. The meat was tender and the roll was fresh. I had my Reuben and it was delicious!! I'm always willing to try a Reuben wherever I go. I've had theirs before and it didn't disappoint today. A lot of places don't grill the sandwich and that is sacrilegious in my book. It was melty and toasted with the right amount of corned beef, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut & 1000 island dressing. Their fries are also really good, even my daughter commented on how good they were. They're crispy yet soft inside & seasoned just right. Kiera was the bartender and the server and she was great!! She was on top of everything. She made a great Moscow mule & we liked how she checked on us just the right amount of times. My daughter is a server and she said she really liked how she knew when to come check to see if we needed anything but not so much that it was annoying. We had a nice chat with her and really enjoyed her attitude. She's an asset to the pub. I enjoy coming to the pub I just don't get over to that part of Summerville very often, I live on the 61 side of Summerville. But when I want a great Reuben again I'll be making the trip across town.

Although I have been to waffle House, which I'm sure I reviewed prior. I came in around supper time, 6:00 p.m. or so, and it was probably at 75% capacity. I sat at the bar, after being welcomed by a local fully equipped with his own Skynyrd beer koozie!! Hahaha! They have karaoke, and they karaoke DJ spinning all the good country hits, literally emulating exactly what I play at home. Anyhow, the local that pulled my chair out essentially, told me that the "bartender sucked" But in good ole down home local fashion, she clapped right back, and obviously he was joking cuz she is phenomenal. Despite having a completely full bar, and waiting tables, she acknowledged me almost immediately. Even sat down in the bar stool next to me to take my order and chit chat and go over the menu with me. I think her name was Alicia, but regardless she was outstanding! I ordered hot wings and lemon pepper wings. They came out really fast, really hot, and really good. I kind of wish I had room to order another entree, but it filled me up. As I waited for my food, I was suddenly engulfed by an entire group of locals. Now this place, is the mature crowd, and they were so nice they sort of took me under their wing! This is the epitome of down south hospitality. I've been holding out on coming to this place for a few years now, and looking back, I wish I would have came a lot sooner. I hate using the term "vibe", But this is totally my vibe. Great food, great service, great locals, laid back atmosphere with music playing and karaoke? You just can't beat it. I have responsibilities, so I had to leave really early, but rest assured, I will definitely be back. I mean who else is going to sing Jason Aldean on the karaoke machine? Thank you skynyrd's, thank you Alicia (I hope I remembered your name right), such a great experience and I'm sorry I had to cut it short! Our server was extremely polite and stayed on top of our drinks and brought everything out fresh and hot. Appetizer was the cheese curds.. they were delicious!! Served with marinara .. I love pepper jam w cheese curds but the marinara was so delicious. Husband ordered a 2 hotdog combo and he loved it. The fries were great and hotdogs were grilled or fried and that's the best way to have them. A little too much topping la but he scraped some off so it was fine. I had the fish and chips. It was a HUGE PORTION. I could only eat 1 small piece. Very tasty and again fries were great. No pic but we actually had dessert.. we did the peanut butter pie and it was a nice size. I enjoyed seeing all the families with little come out and have fun. There's also merch for purchase. Our server was attentive despite it being crowded. The food: the fried pickles were perfect. I had the patty melt and fries it was unflavirful but had all the fixings. My son had the chicken strips and fries; which he said were perfectly crispy on the outside, tender and juicy. The drinks were good and had just enough alcohol. Overall engage a great time and will be back to try different things in the menu. Definitely check this place out! It's conveniently located in the Public shopping center and I believe they have various activities on other nights. Don't quote me on that as I can only attest to bingo!

I have difficulty with steps but there were enough railings to make it navigable for me. The building was likely to have at one time been a small house. There were six of us in our party and we were initially told we would be sharing one bill and the gratuity would be automatically added. A couple of our folks expressed concern and intentionally ordered cheaper items and no drinks to make sure they had adequate funds to split the bill. Fortunately our waitress, who was a joy, did individual bills and did not put on an automatic gratuity. The policy had the potential to seriously reduce the restaurant's income. They should probably rethink this stance. As noted, our waitress was terrific and rapidly got drink and food orders sorted. The menu is pretty short, but probably a good choice for a small pub type restaurant. My wife and I both selected an on-tap local brew, both of which were good and reasonably priced. We both also selected the fish and chips. The order came with a side of cole slaw that was pleasant. The chips were obviously made on site and both properly cooked and well seasoned. We are always surprised at restaurants that serve obviously bagged and frozen fries. The fish itself was reasonably sized and nicely fried. Quite tasty, but we sort of expected good seafood as this is a sister restaurant to a local seafood establishment. For the price the portion sizes of all the meals at the table seemed just a bit small. So we will quite likely return. It's not fancy. It's not high end dining. It's a tad pricey for pub food, but overall pretty good. I note here that had our waitress not been a gem or had they enforced the one check policy, this review would have been a good deal more negative. I suspect they have an accessible entrance but it was not obvious. That may be a consideration for some and checking ahead of time would be prudent.

My sandwich was good, not a great Reuben but a good sandwich. They definitely needed to get more of the water out of the kraut before putting it on the sandwich, and it wasn't really real rye bread. But I liked it. The Brussels and burnt ends were fine but needed a lot more meat, especially for a $4 up charge over fries (and I think they were $9 menu price which is insane for a side). My kid liked his burger and fries and it honestly looked good. Service was fine, or complaints or anything amazing there. I'm usually not a fan of gussied up burgers and fries but this spot was decent and should be a four star place, but the prices were simply not OK. I could have had a whole steak from Outback for the price of a burger here. I've had much better Reubens in big cities like Chicago, NYC, and Montreal that were bigger and with better sides for less money. If I am paying $22 for a sandwich and side it needs to absolutely change my reality and I that just didn't happen here. Prices need to drop here by 25% or more to be fair. J.Ja

Now mind you there were a lot of empty tables with "reserved" on them at that point. Fast forward an hour later, because we didn't get a txt from them, we went in to see what the story was. They proceeded to tell us it would be another 30 minutes. Also the seats that had "reserved" on them were still empty! They said they would take care of us, and walked us over to the bar side, and told us we would have to stand at the counter to eat! I was fuming. The other three from my party walked out, while i proceeded to tell the manager this was extremely poor service! All he could say was they were busy. I pointed out the empty tables that were empty when we first walked in an hour ago and are still empty! They finally gave us one of those tables. We were out in an hour and guess what ...... there were still empty tables with "reserved" on them! Would NOT recommend this place to anyone! My suggestion is to go someplace else!! Like I said, our waitress was extremely nice and couldn't apologize enough.
