Went in for a cleaning/inspection. First issue was that they made me come BACK 3 days later for the cleaning (which was very inconvenient, and not something I've ever had to do before.) Then they said because of how they billed my insurance (in a way where they get more money of course) I would have to pay a $100 Deductible despite the cleaning being the EXACT same as a normal cleaning, which Insurance would cover in full. Then they kept trying to upsell me on some laser cleaning nonsense as well as trying to nickel and dime me by trying to charge me for fluoride and things. THEN they tried coming back a month later and saying I owed $200 MORE for xrays, which I told them I wouldn't be paying. It's clear this company is just a dental chop shop where they just try to cram as many people in as possible, and bill them in a way where they they can extract every last penny possible. The fact that that I had to pay $100 for a NORMAL cleaning, despite it being covered by insurance is outrageous. Avoid this place at all cost. read more

River Dental has definitely been the easiest dentist to work with. Their doctors are super nice, the waiting time is minimal and I'm able to get an appointment quickly. They also have extended hours which is nice since I work late. The front desk staff is always very helpful and friendly, and will spend as much time on the phone as I need to get my questions answered and make sure I'm getting the proper treatment. All I can say is this dental office has been amazing for me and my family! Even though I was 20 mins late(I felt sooooo bad) I didn't think They would be able to get both my sons finished in one day. Edith( I probably didn't spell her name correctly) was amazingly awesome about it. She reassured me that she could move quick and get both of them done. But I'm actually writing this review because Dr. Cornin has saved us thousands of dollars. We recently moved here from a different state and I have 2 teenage boys that have braces on and I went to a few Ortho/dentist offices to get quotes to get them finished off. Well.....no one would touch them and finish the job cause a it was a different doctors work. Which is fine but to just get them removed every single one of them quoted me between $1600-$1800 to just take off the braces. So....my kids have had braces on that was doing nothing for them for a while now. I just couldn't fork up the $3200-$3600 to just remove them. I was referred to River Dental from another family member(my boys were going to a different dental office at the time) so me, my husband and my 4 yr old decided to give them a try. They were so good to us and had a great first time experience for my 4 yr old. So I decided to just ask the question on my sons on how much it would cost to take them off. Dr. Cornin quoted us a fraction of the cost. I am literally in tears because I have felt soooo bad that I even started braces for them and then we had to move immediately. Also One of my sons being picky and all, wasn't happy with his front teeth not being equally straight it had little ridges in it from just wear and tear. I said to my son we can't ask the doc to fix that because that wasn't apart of what we agreed on and I would just make another appointment with the dentist for that. The doc without hesitation said to him sit back down I'm gonna take care of it for you no problem! So literally I'm in tears because this dental office has been amazing. All the girls in the office has been so nice! And Dr. Cornin and Edith has made this experience amazing! read more

Dr Sarah Chilton was the dentist who worked on my teeth. It was the worst experiences I've ever had. The first filling she put directly on top of my nerve and I had To have it corrected by my new dentist. My second visit a week later to get my front filling complete, she put the needle so far in my gums that the needle came through the back of my nose and caused me to bleed from my nose and mouth, Dr. Sarah's exact words were "don't worry, that's a very common reaction." Every single injection was placed so so deep in my face that it caused both of my eyes to be extremely numb. I will NEVER go back to River Dental. I have a new dentist who has fixed the mistakes that River Dental caused and its cost me almost $2,000 to repair the filling that was placed directly in top of the nerve. read more

New patients beware! This is a new dentistry that opened up near where I live that accepts my insurance so i decided to try it out..... It has been the worst dental experience I've ever had. I received 4 fillings on 7-5-2018 (1 filling repair that fell out after about 8 years and 3 minor cavities) in one session that took 3 hrs 45 mins. My appointment was at 8am and my first red flags were when the dentist starting complaining (during the procedure) about not having her coffee yet and that her hand was cramping up. The procedure finishes and I'm informed that i may experience soreness for the next few days to a week and that my tooth sensitivity to hot / cold may increase which I understand is standard. The next day (after all the meds have worn off) I went to eat something and had an extremely sharp, almost electric pain shoot thru my tooth when I bit down. Knowing I may experience discomfort after 4 fillings at once I decide to give it time to heal and run its course. A few weeks go by of not being able to eat on my left side and it hasn't improved so I make an appointment on 7-31-18 for an adjustment. Additional x-rays are taken, I'm told my fillings are minor/shallow and nowhere close to my nerve, and that an adjustment should be all that's needed.Everything looks good. The dentist drills again and makes a few adjustments, and once again, I hope for the best. Eight days after the adjustment the pain is still there and I'm still unable to eat on my left side. That night on 8-8-18 (34 days since my filling), while i was flossing, two pieces of my filling break off from the tooth I've been having problems with. There is no excuse for this other than bad dental work done by Dr. Sarah Chilton of River Dental -Fayetteville. At this point i decide to go somewhere else and make an appointment at River dental to collect my dental records. My appointment was at 2pm and it took 36 minutes to collect. Needless to say I'll never be back and you should avoid this place. Avoid River Dental - Fayetteville's negligence.... there are hundreds of other dentists in the area that do fine work. Update 8/21/18: Ive now been to another dentist in an attempt to fix the dental work done at River Dental - Fayetteville. After explaining my situation to my new dentist i am told that the "two pieces of filling" that fell off my tooth were actually bonding material, and that its pretty normal. However, after new xrays were done, at least one of the fillings done will need to be repaired, as well as a possible crown on another tooth that was worked on (the one I've been having pain in). Im told that the tooth needing a crown may be cracked from the filling procedure. This has and continues to be a very frustrating and expensive development. It should also be noted that I've received two phone calls since leaving River Dental -Fayetteville. The first call was from Dr. Sara Chilton expressing her apologies and that they are still here for me if i need any additional dental treatment. My response what that I no longer trust their dentistry and will NOT be back. The second phone call was again from Dr Sara Chilton personally explaining that my online review was "false and malicious" and that she would be "contacting legal". I have done nothing but detail my bad experience with this dentistry. read more
