I first went to a three hour introduction on insight meditation which they offer a few times a year. They explained the basics of seated meditation along with foundational principles. It was a considerably more open approach than I was used to hearing in person. This group is influenced by the Theravada branch of Buddhism and I like the way they explain things better than my previous experience with Zen or Chan. So I have been to many sessions with this group and enjoy the variety of approaches offered by different teachers who present each week on Wednesday nights. The fee is donation based.
