The garden is organized into themed sections with pathways to follow to take you through the different garden areas. There is the Japanese Garden, the Butterfly Garden, the Children's Garden, and the Rose Garden, to name a few. Each visit is a little different, depending on the time of year and what is in bloom. On this visit, I was amazed by all the different dahlias, the beautiful roses, and the whimsical rock garden populated by gnomes.

One of our nature stops while visiting family needed to be Singleton Park. This place isn't huge,…read moreso if somebody had already planned a company picnic or family reunion or something of the sorts, there isn't going to be a lot of spare space for others. That being said, this park, albeit somewhat primitive (just not fancy), is really nice. The grounds keepers do a nice job keeping up with the mowing and pruning. The path on the far side of the park leads down to the water and gives you a great vantage point of where the North and South Umpqua rivers run together prior to becoming the Umpqua and heading out to the pacific ocean. The setting here provided for some nice back drops for some pictures with family. Unless you are planning a picnic or something your trip here probably won't take exceptionally long, but it's well worth the few minute drive to get here and check it out.

Its location is also beautiful because it overlooks the South Umpqua River. Park goers can take a short walk to a spacious dog park or follow several trails that run along the South Umpqua River. Whether a person wants to explore nature, have a picnic, or play games with the kids, Micelli Park has something for people to enjoy. This park is a nice addition to a sketchy part of town.

In A Nutshell: -It's…read morenot too often you can actually walk down to a dam & watch real fish inside the water like an aquarium. -You can do that at Winchester Dam and Fish Ladder, which is a National Historic Landmark in our great country the USA. -You can easily find parking in the small lot, then walk down the concrete/mental stairs towards the dam. -There are plenty of places to take some really nice photos of the entire dam & Umpqua River. -As you walk down the steps towards the fish count area, you will be able to see real fish struggling against the strong currents through glass. -You can see all sorts of fish if you wait a little. So we took a drive through the park the next day on our way back from town and it is a beautiful park, it sits on the banks of the North Umpqua River which is a very nice river. This was a free fishing weekend in Oregon so it was a popular place to be. Too busy for us to even drop a line in. Maybe next time we are passing through it won't be during the restrictive months and our dogs can enjoy this really pretty park. I'm sure it is because there are people out there who don't have dog etiquette and don't clean up after their pets which is too bad for the rest. Nice park though well kept and it has a boat launch, group picnic areas that you can reserve as there were reserved signs up.

The people of Roseburg are so nice! Lots of retired people and families with kids who are very involved raised over 2.8 million dollars to build this brand new facility for tennis lovers. This facility really adds to the attractiveness of Roseburg OR. Recently a costco and other big businesses have moved in, but the house prices are still low for what you get. What a place for families and for retired people to live. This facility really adds something to Roseburg. I think more and more people will move here and the value of property will rise because of all this growth, which this new facility is certianly a big part of. Kuddos to the tennis lovers of Roseburg OR! What an accomplisment.

The rafting itself was amazing with a variety of rapids and scenery. We saw a lot of wildlife around the lodges and during rafting. Our guides made great lunches which we devoured at gorgeous locations along the river banks. The front desk staff that helped with our reservations as well as pre and post trip lodge accommodation at Morrions lodge were nice. Shout out to Lisa for everything she did to make our experience memorable. Highly recommend the rafting as well as the morrison lodge. We will be back soon

our little family of 4 stayed at the Morrison Rogue Wilderness Adventure for 3 nights. During…read morethose 3 nights we also signed up and went on the River Rafting trip. My wife and I, along with my 12 year old son and 10 year old daughter had the BEST TIME EVER. The Rafting was great. The service at the resort was a 10+. The food was even better and we will definitely be back to stay 6 nights next time.
