Definitely a family destination for those with grade school age kiddos. Everyone was having a great time! Even though kids seemed to be constantly falling all around, they'd get back up and keep going. The staff were very friendly and informative. Just a $5 entrance fee, extra for rentals. They also have concessions, no outside food or drinks permitted. They had skating races, then time for everyone, followed by kids 13 and under, then 14 and over. Time for speed racing, change of direction, and they then lowered the lightening and shined a disco ball.

What a place for families and for retired people to live. This facility really adds something to Roseburg. Oregon Fish Reports says Ben Irving Reservoir has Rainbow Trout, Largemouth Bass, Black Crappie, Bluegill, White Crappie. It is said they also have bluegill and yellow perch. I'm not sure they stock trout since the water gets so low. There are two day use sites. The first is a picnic area with restrooms, picnic tables, swimming and volleyball. The second is the largest, which is at the end of the road in, with a restrooms, boat ramp, dock, picnic tables, grills for and rest rooms. The reservoir is beautiful and peaceful place to go. It's scary how fast the water goes down once the rains stop. It's a reservoir where water from the area is held for irrigation and municipal uses and to enhance stream conditions to support fish in the streams. Everyone needs to do better to keep this reservoir from getting so low by saving
