I generally have very low expectations for any dry cleaners but I was pleasantly surprised at how stellar my experiences have been with River Oaks Cleaners. I was not aware they were a local chain, but if all locations are this good, then consider me a sold customer. Things I love: * While folks can obviously drop off their clothes in store, they also offer a drive-thru. * They're open during weekends. This might not sound like a big deal, but many places are closed on Sundays. * They're hip to tech: There is an online account, email + text reminders, and the ability to pay via QR code or online in advance. * The prices are very reasonable. My sport coats / suit jackets are usually around $9 each, with $7 pants, and $12-17 for full on suits. * Serve cold water bottles and coffee are available. That's fantastic. * The service has been friendly and professional with every visit. Most of all they've always managed to get me exactly what I want and offer some occasional tailor services for damaged parts of any garment. Other places would charge for these services, but they seemingly do it because they want to. * Lastly, my clothes have been coming out looking very nice. This is above anything is why we go to places like this in the first place. I hope that they remain consistent in service and am already looking forward to my next visit. Convenient dry cleaning location in the area! I live nearby and I was looking for a place to do my dry cleaning at. It's very easy to make an account with them, drop your clothes off, track when it would be done, and pick them up when it's ready. My clothes ended up being ready about 2 days earlier than the estimated day that they had told me it would be ready by, which was a really nice plus. They are very friendly and greet you when you enter too. I think the service was fantastic! I will definitely continue to do my dry cleaning here, as they are located in such a convenient area and I was satisfied with their services. read more

Dropped off my $425 white Ralph Lauren jacket fearing the black stain would not come of, but was shocked to see my jacket lol brand new! Aside from getting rid of the stain I had my jacket back within 24 hours. Wait... it gets better... The young lady who was helping me was a pure delight. I just moved to Houston so I was looking for a really good dry cleaning services. I went to several other cleaners and they are overpriced and did a horrible job with 1 took 3 weeks before I got my clothes back. I went to River Oaks in Bellaire location and by far- they are doing an excellent job with my clothes. I wear a lot of white pants and by far this cleaner is the Only one I found in Houston that really did an excellent job, took all the spots and really clean my white pants. The price is reasonable. I want to say Sandra always greet me with a smile. She is nice, courteous and provided me with excellent customer service. Thank you Sandra for all you do. I seriously tried with this place. It's close to my home/Whole Foods and it has a drive-through so I really, really wanted to make it work. But... They lost the buttons to my husbands brand new tux shirt. They offered to see more on, but they wouldn't match. To resolve the issue I kept trying to reach the manager but he pretty obviously didn't want to deal with me. He never took the phone, even when he was in the building. I finally told them to just credit me $20 to cover the cost to have new matching buttons attached, which they did. Now this is a dry cleaners, not a restaurant or hotel, and I don't depend on outstanding customer service so long as they get the job done. One of the women who works there is very friendly and always smiling. The other woman I get more often, however, just doesn't care. It wouldn't bother me except that she's been nonchalant about billing issues (when they tried to charge $12.99 for a simple .5" hem restitch) and her own screw-ups (keep reading.) I dropped off a suit to be cleaned and asked them to repair the stitching on one pocket. Came back to pick it up, asked if they'd fixed it (baby in the backseat, no time to check) and I got the response "I think so, yeah." Stupid me, I drove off. I brought it back when I realized it HADNT been fixed, same woman as the first time took it. Came back a couple days later aaaand STILL not fixed. I explained to the friendly woman that yes, I'd told the other woman it needed to be fixed, and that I brought it back to the same woman and it still wasn't done. FINALLY it was fixed, but then they tried to charge me $12.99. I asked why and they said it was because it had been cleaned, which is stupid because that's what the WHOLE suit cleaning cost and it was already clean in the first place. They still overcharged me ($8 for putting a small stitch in) but I just paid it and left, knowing I'd never be back. read more

Absolutely ruined my expensive $150 Italian tie! When I took it back to show then, they made up a bunch of excuses and could not commit to fixing the issue. I've had hundreds of ties cleaned at other reputable cleaners around town and not once seen on returned so wrinkly as the one River Oaks Cleaners "cleaned" for me. My husband and I have used this cleaners for over a decade. The staff is friendly and professional, the service is reliable, and our clothes are always returned pressed and clean, just as they should be. What distinguishes this cleaners from the others we have used over the years is the friendly staff who goes out of their way to take care of us every single time we come, regardless of whether it's in the early morning hours (as in the minute they open) or literally the second before they close. I have been a customer at this location for almost 10 years, since relocating to Houston. I've tried several cleaners over the years, but I always end up going back to River Oaks Cleaners. My clothes have never been lost or damaged and always come out looking and smelling fresh and clean (without that strong dry cleaning smell you get at cheaper places). The other factor that keeps me coming back is convenient and efficient service. The drive-through lane is very handy, especially when I have kids in the car. At this point, the ladies know me by name and are always friendly and helpful to me even though I am hardly a big spender.
