And no I don't need you to provide me with another F word. TRAILS & FISHING The Kinnickinnic walking trails are pretty extensive and one of the entry points is here in Glen Park. Some of the trails are paved, but not all. I highly recommend for those who love to hike. The bluffs are beautiful and you'll see all kinds of wildlife and not a lot of people. Make sure you check out the historic swinging footbridge. It connects the back of the park and Cascade Street. Bring a camera - there's some great photo opportunities of the South Fork Rapids and the Kinni. Last summer I saw a couple of guys fishing beneath the bridge so I decided to bother them and in doing so I learned that the Kinni is loaded with trout! They asked me not to tell anyone but I can't be trusted with such things. Besides when I got home and excitedly announced it to my husband, he's like "No shit, everybody knows that." o_O FAMILY FUN I'm always surprised there aren't more families hanging here in the summer. There's an outdoor pool, basketball and tennis courts, horseshoe pits, picnic tables, places to grill and a lot of space to walk and play. DOGS This is one of my favorite places to bring the pups. Officially, leashes are required. But I usually luck out with nobody around, so I let them run. Be smart and carry a leash in case others show up. And for god's sake and all that is holy, please pick up after your dog. Crap-filled parks are no fun. LOCATION It's on the south end of town. Follow Main Street through town, go past the Dairy Queen (if you have more willpower than I do) down to Park Street and take a right. It's down a couple blocks on the right.

They say you have to be 10 to get dropped off there but my experience that a lot of parents start dropping them off around 8.

Learned that SUPs were first come first served, but mentioned we were headed to them in mound from Coon Rapids and it would kinda suck to drive that far. I asked what our chances were and they were sweet enough to make sure they didn't all disappear! The process is super easy, tou check in and then walk the few hundred feet to the beach. They bring the boards (or whatever you've rented) over to you and you're set! When you're done you just beach the items and they come grab them. Only down side is SUP is kinda hard for a newbie as the lake is clearly a play lake. Constantly rough from all the jet skiiers.

I would give this place 0 stars if I could. My husband and I golfed here and on the FIRST hole we were on our second shot and the range officer gave us a talking to in a cocky sort of way. We were not holding anyone up. In fact, it was only 3 or 4 minutes into our tee time, as the group in front of us were a little slow. The group behind us decided to skip in front of us at the first hole without any sort of acknowledgement. We ended up waiting for TWO GROUPS at Hole 2 as a result. Since the pace was too slow from that giant CF, the range officers were around constantly and watching over us like hawks. I've golfed my entire life and have never had such a terrible experience before. The range officers there are out of control. The tee times are ridiculously close together and they appear to herd people in like cattle. Not a good experience at all. Spend your money elsewhere at a golf course that actually provides decent customer service. read more

The forward tees were around 4800 yards which is a bit short. Par is 71. We liked the front nine but the back nine had too many hokey holes, ie an 's' shaped hole and a par 5 that turned at a 90 degree angle. There were several five somes ahead of us. Yet we did play in less than 4 hours. Staff was very friendly and helpful. So much beautiful scenery including rock formations, tons of vegetation, flowers, brick bridge, and views from the ridge.

A signature hole is #17 which is a par 3 that is about 130yds from the forward tees but plays like less than 100 yds because it's straight down. Fun.
