We had a waterfront lot in this small campground and marina. The campground is quaint with a lot of extended term campers and campers who are contract workers in the local area. We loved being on the water. It was peaceful and pretty. We walked up to The clam digger restaurant (about a mile from the campground) and had GREAT pizza and excellent service there. Veronica at the campground was easy to reach and always replied within an hour or two. Ron was also helpful on-site to lead us to our site and help us back in. Be very aware when you cancel a reservation at River Raisin Marina and Campground..Their cancellation policy reads like stereo instructions. They charged HALF the weeks rental for cancelling. $75 for trailer storage and while it was stored on their property someone stole our taillight (cut the wires and took it). $130 a week for a boat slip.....Nice campground but....Very pricey and charges for electricity on top of the lot rental.... We won't be back there again and I will tell everyone I know and every media I can...NOPE! Nope! read more

I can't say enough wonderful things about this hidden gem nestled along the scenic riverbanks of Michigan! My family and I have been staying here seasonally for years and each visit has been nothing short of magical. The location is unbeatable for fishing enthusiasts like us. We've had some of our best catches right from the marina docks! The owners go above and beyond to ensure every guest feels welcome and at home. The campground is meticulously maintained. There's an unmatched sense of camaraderie among fellow campers and anglers here. Park manager was only authorized to charge my credit card for the deposit for the electric which was $250.00 Then she started putting other chargers on my credit card without my authorization. I had to call my credit card to show them where I text her she was not authorized to charge my card anytime but the electric deposit, which I still have not received my refund for that! She changed my credit card 754.00 pull another 150.00 I had to have my credit card shut off for unauthorized charges from her. Now she has blocked my phone number! Plus I can not get my refund back from her! They are the worst park ever. It's more like a trailer park !!! They do not make there Trailer park people pick up after the pets, there's so much chit everywhere they ever come into where you are. I was there for about 5 days. I picked up after my dog. Poor thing would do her business in the rocks that how bad the little grass was so covered with craps!! I chit you not !! Calling bank tomorrow cause she told me she was refunding my card $243.00 from my $250.00 oh wait they charge you a few too so my was $260.00.. when you leave she texts you with random stuff, off the wall stuff like she's on pill or drugs or something!!! She tells you she's the owner then she said she never said that all in a text lol I would never recommend this place for anyone not unless you want to live in a trailer park that's trashed with crap, plus a nut case as a park manager who's going to over charge you plus use your debit or credit card unauthorized! They also say you have to buy there blue hoes! Don't it's on Amazon for 89.00 they charge you 170.00. Stay away from this place! read more

Absolutely the worst "marina" I have ever been to. The only thing that makes it a marina is the rickety docks that look like they were built by a 7th grade shop class. They are so tipsy you almost fall in the water. I regret agreeing to rent a slip without visiting this so called marina first. They have no gas pump to refuel your boat and no boat services. The docks are not marked so you have no idea which dock is yours. They assigned me a dock and a month later took it away and forced me to move, meanwhile threatening to tow my vehicle away for parking in the "wrong" place since my slip parking space was taken. The staff is incompetent and rude. I will never, ever spend a dime there again. read more

Price gouging. You sign a contract for long term camping at a set monthly rate... then she tries to charge you more when she sends you your monthly bill. You pay for full hook-up. Includes water, sewage and electric hook-up. But then she charges you $30 monthly to use 50amp...besides 19cents per kwh for electric usage. If you have more then 1 vehicle your charged $50 for xtra vehicle. Most boating docks need repaired.... other docks need repaired.... bathhouse and laundry facility need updated and cleaned up. Not very kid friendly... with that being said there is a wooden swingset with 2 swings and attached slide it sets beside the electric panels that have a couple of orange rd construction barrels around it. She charges rent based on size of camper...really should not matter being that your crammed in back to back side by side so close side outs almost touch...bumpers almost touch. Not very peaceful ... back up alarms alnite of power plant... river front sites are more expensive for the view of the power plant. This campground marina is way over priced for what it is... and the aggravation of having to constantly be setting her straight on your signed contract agreement our rent was $700 month she sent bill for $825... had to remind her of our signed contract. She gives $25 discount for winter December thru March. She charged us full amount no discount fir March I had to once again tell her . And then when we left the nice man that manages the campground read our meter gave us a paper detailed with our usage of electric and our refund amount from $200 deposit she collected when we made reservations.. a few days later she sent text with refund amount... shorting us saying our electric usage was more ... nit realizing we read our meter with the manager and I had paper from him... I sent her a pic text of paper and she finally sent our correct refund. My advice stay somewhere else ... she is greedy... never been to a campground that charges for so much. Greedy!! I would give a 1 star...but gad to in order to leave review. read more

I stayed here with 2 buddies for 3 months for work. Veronica and John were extremely nice and accommodating. Stated hearing stories about her adding a bunch of extra charges to other campers and a bunch of the long term people were constantly leaving. She didn't add anything on us first month but the 2nd month she was trying to add a bunch of charges for motorcycle storage and trailer storage neither of which I had up there. So we agreed on a flat rate with electrical included. She then sent me a bill the final month with electric added. I advised them that wasn't what we agreed to and she apologized and sent me the flat rate with a pool added. Once again I did not buy a pool or fill on up but she was sure gonna charge me for it. So I decided to leave. I was cleaning up my campsite the manager Ron was there talking to me while I was. We left some decks we built and a few things because one of the guys from the group was staying and gonna use it. Ron said don't worry about it. I did stay a day over the time I came in Ron went to John and John said that for 50bucks for extra day they would refund my electrical deposit. I was informed after I left that I would not be getting that back after all. The manager of campground said I was good but apparently the greedy owners didn't think so. I have included pictures of the text messages. Just do some research and read reviews on this place. There are better options Lord willing, kc campground I have stayed at both and can say this places are run by honest decent people. Thought I would be able to say that about the rent raisen but I can not. read more

Ok...so my husband and I wanted a quick camping getaway close to us. We saw this online and it looked beautiful!! Nope...thank goodness we drove through before we reserved. People live here...it's more like a trailer park. I think people live here with their campers that can't afford anywhere else. I'm not trying to be mean or rude....but I don't want people to make the same mistake as us. If we would have pulled in here with our camper for a nice weekend getaway...we would have immediately turned around and left. I would not have felt safe or enjoyed it at all. read more

Didn't even stay! Misrepresenting themselves and led me to believe that I had a reservation with them when I asked. I had called MANY of the camp grounds in the Detroit area and so had a lot of different places to keep track of. When they called they said they were the place I had talked to before and said I hadn't made a deposit and needed to make one then. I was super busy while talking to them and so left the deposit. Once I discovered they in fact weren't the same place as I had already left a deposit with, I immediately called back (next day) to cancel for the refund. I even explained what had happened. The were refusing to give me a refund of over $200 even though they had misled me on my reservation that I NEVER had with them, it was with another park. I had to threaten them with legal action for lies and false statements. I wouldn't trust this place in the least, I'd be willing to bet the books aren't even accurate and the customer service is shady at best. Just stay on the side of the road or at a truck stop before staying here. read more

They overcharge for electricity charge extra $50 for putting a satellite dish in an empty parking spot an extra $50 for a second vehicle my neighbors cargo trailer was broken into along with other rv's they refuse to refund my deposit or prorate my rent when I left early she charged me $150extra to plug in a heated water hose. She has the worse attitude you could imagine and I'll never go back there nor recommend anyone else to go and have to deal with these people. read more
