We slept on the ground in sleeping bags. There were a lot of people making noise until about 12:30am, playing music, singing, talking and yelling. The showers were not great but fine for a campground. I went to bed around 2am when everything had died down. Around 7am, some banging started like there might be a shooting range nearby. In the morning, I explored the camping area and got some exercise. So much better than a hotel gym! I ran around, shot some hoops, and bounced on their "jumping pillow" which was exactly what I needed before a day of driving. And it was so much cheaper than a hotel room.

The laundry and shower facilities were spotlessly clean, a testament to the high standards of maintenance upheld by the staff. Speaking of the staff, they were exceptional. From the maintenance crew to the friendly faces at reception, everyone went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable and safe environment. The grounds were beautifully maintained, creating a serene atmosphere perfect for relaxation. Safety was a top priority here, which was reassuring. As a dog owner, I appreciated how dog-friendly the camp was, with ample space for walking and playing with pets. This is a work in progress, so you'll see the staff doing daily maintenance and upgrades. One of the standout moments was when I faced a medical emergency during my stay. After being released from the hospital, the owner and staff were incredibly supportive and accommodating, making sure my recovery period was as smooth as possible. Their compassion and assistance were invaluable during a challenging time. Leafy Oaks RV Park's proximity to Cedar Point was another bonus, making it convenient to enjoy the attractions nearby while still enjoying a peaceful campground setting. I don't know why though, this is the first time I had this happen, lol. Anyways, the area I stayed in is across the lake from the flat campground... in the woody area. Overall, I had a good experience. It is quiet and peaceful here. There are other guests staying here as well, but everyone is respectful. Electricity and water are included except for sewer. They do a run once a week with a honey wagon with a fee of 8 bucks. Oh well. Another thing is that there is a rail road next to the woody area and multiple trains go by day and night. I guess you can get used to it, lol. It was a good place to stay at though. The staff is super accommodating and helpful. I would definitively recommend this campground.

The parks residents are living in broken down RVs, some of which are falling apart at the seams. There is no sewer and the dump station was overflowing into the surrounding grass. The cost is $40 and cash only. It's not worth even close to that. I bet the IRS would be interested in all that cash for tax purposes. I encourage anyone thinking about stopping to pass this place and go to another.

I love photography and can't say enough about the bird and butterfly migration and places to shoot photos. Be careful swimming, there is a dangerous rip tide at some places (they are marked). There are plenty of places to change clothes or use the flush toilette, but the food options are limited so bring your own picnic. The park is amazing, espeically in the summer and fall.
