This is the first review I've written on Yelp, as I'm not normally one to write negative reviews or complain, but our experience (which was two-fold) with River Roofing was so appalling that I felt I needed to make the community aware of our experience. Also, since this has happened to us we have heard other similar comments from our local Bend friends, including the general manager of the local bank. We recently purchased a very expensive custom home where the seller had paid River roofing to do ice damn mitigation after the recent heavy snows ( because the sellers were out of the area and didn't want any issues). The sellers paid River Roofing $2,200 for "ice damn mitigation", which consisted of placing ice socks on the roof. They did not shovel the roof as part of the mitigation. We had the home inspected by a professional inspector prior to purchase (and prior to snowfall) and no roof issues were detected. Shortly before we closed we noticed ice, water and icicles coming out of the roof vents and very clear bowing of the soffits which we could document with before and after snowfall pictures. We had our professional inspector, our general contractor and a handyman all inspect and agree it was due to the recent ice damns on the roof. We then asked River roofing to come out and assess the damage (as they were paid to mitigate any ice damn issues). The arrogance of the owner was hard to believe as he stood in front of us and clearly lied to absolve himself of any liability, knowing that we were under pressure to close. I'm a business owner myself and believe in honesty, integrity and owning up to any issues which are my responsibility. Clearly this company does not have the same moral compass. The first experience we had with them was when we asked for an estimate for another large custom home that we own (3,000 sq ft single level). First of all they are the only company to actually charge you to come out and give an estimate...$250. We collected several bids and RIver Roofing was double the cost of any other contractor. Do yourself a favor, do your homework and get multiple estimates if you use this company. read more

We have lived in the PNW for some time. Never have we seen snow like we have seen in 2016-2017! We, like everyone else in Bend we're having some major snow issues. We had about 24" of snow on top of 12" of ice. We started to have water damming on two spots in the house. I called my insurance agent and he highly recommended River Roofing. I know they were very busy and backed up but listened to me as a customer and let me know they could help. Two days later they arrived with a full crew. They got up on the roof and shoveled and hammered the ice off the roof. The men were very professional and worked right through the single digit temperatures. I couldn't be more happy with them. Come spring I will definitely be calling River Roofing for a new roof. Thanks so much! read more

We hired River Roofing to help us fix some ice dams on our house at Black Butte Ranch. They were incredibly responsive and did terrific work, communicating clearly throughout the process. Later we discovered an electrical problem (entirely separate from the ice dam project), and we reached out to ask for River Roofing's help. They sent their electrician out to assess the problem, without charge, and made a great referral to an electrical company. Shane was fantastic and we highly recommend this company! read more

I meant to write this a while ago, but got a little busy. Anyways, I HIGHLY recommend River Roofing to anyone that needs their roof repaired/replaced. Everyone that I talked to was incredibly nice and helpful. From talking to the girls answering the phones to the people that came out and did the work, it was all a great experience!
