This is a terrible place to get your car cleaned. First and foremost I paid $16 and my car wasn't fully cleaned-- there was still bird droppings on my car rear windshield right after being washed. I had already tipped these guys $5 extra so I walked over and explained in Spanish that my car still had shit on it. One guy goes over and attempts to clean my car for a second time. He gives a few swipes of the rag and walks away again but the bird shit is still there. What is the point of getting my car washed if you aren't going to clean it properly?! I know I sound like a nit picker but there were some big droppings that obstructed my rear view vision. I was warranted to say something; it's like going to the dry cleaners and having the stain still on there. I walk inside and talk with a very unpleasant girl. She did not want to bothered with this and really did not care. This is customer service, if you don't like doing that, then find another job! I explained my situation to which she replied, 'what would you like me to do about?' I said that your company did not perform satisfactory because my car is still dirty and I would like it cleaned again or please refund my money. She curtly said 'no' and I said you lost me as a customer. I was polite the whole time and wasn't going to get upset. I was lucky enough to have this happen the first time going there so I won't be back. I read the other Yelp review about missing money and my loose change was missing as well. High prices mixed with mediocre work and horrible customer service experience topped off with theft means I drive a little further into Hoboken to give my business to a company that appreciates it. read more

I use the Riverfront Car Wash once a month since 2015. I'm kind of surprised at the bad reviews, to be honest. I get the $19 wash which does the interior and the tires along with the car wash. Never had a problem. My car looks great, and I think my expectation are a bit tempered from other people - i'm not expecting that my car would be detailed, just washed. I bought the prepaid card for a free car wash. I got the exterior wash, the quality was not good at all. Some dirty spots stay the same after the wash, and I can see soap residue around the car and the windshield after it dries. I will come back to try the interior service (only because I've already purchased the prepaid card). read more

This place sucks. If you need some mud washed off the car, running it through will be Ok, but not for a thorough cleaning. Was there earlier, got the $18 Super and gave a five dollar tip. I asked them to be sure to do a thorough vacuuming and they said sure. As usual,, vacuumed the carpets for about 30 seconds and didn't do seats or anything else. Wiping dash and stuff like that? Forget it. Exterior was ok, but still had remnants of mess from recent snow that they didn't bother getting off. Been there many times and went home to finish the job correctly. Unfortunately this is a really bad car wash. My car is fairly new, and after they half dried my car, I opened the door and it looked like they didn't even vacuum the interior, with crumbs left on the middle counsel and dirt on the floor pads. I drove around and made them redo the vacuum with me watching. I've come here in the past because it's close but I always leave saying to myself what an awful car wash this place is. I went here for a quick interior wash only cause it's close to me and I pass it on the way home from work everyday. Yes only an interior wash cause I recently had the outside washed. The guy working there told me it would be 7 dollars and just pull on the side since there was no label for just inside wash. He told me that, that included a Vacuum a full wipe down and all the windows cleaned. The guy Vacuumed the car and told me it's good to go, I said wasn't it suppose to be the full wipe down and windows and he said okay one second. He came back and finally wiped it down and did a horrible job so I had to redo it, the windows came out alright but I have to add he didn't do the back window at all. I have had it with this place. I have visited here 2 times for the "winter special" for $13 and both times my new SUV has been filthy in around the rims and behind the door handles and there are missed spots all over the place. They do not dry the car properly either and the water dripping ends up as long dirty steaks. To top it off after cleaning my mats they put my Lexus floor mats into someone else's Audi car! Thank God the guy didn't drive away before realizing they weren't his!! These guys do such a half assed job it is unbelievable and this shit hole should be closed down. This is the WORST car wash I have been to. Honestly, I never add reviews on yelp, but had to do so this time. I took the full service ($33). They left in the car a lot of dust, and crumbs, and they just cleaned around everythings. When I got home, I vacuumed the car myself. I went to the manager to express my disappointment, and onstead of saying I am sorry to hear that, let us take another look at the car, he said OK. Thats it. Went here yesterday. Someone decided to help themselves to my meter money a few dollars in coins and 2 singles. F'in dirt bags. So now when I go back the next few times I will be sure to clean my car out and in the tip jug the will find a note explaining that I am not tipping since last time they stole my change. If you are going to the car wash for a basic wash on the exterior and don't need to interact with the employees then it is just like any other car wash, average. For interior work, the few times that I have gone there, the cleaning is less thorough than average. They miss a lot of areas, like inside cup holders and door pockets. They will just clean what is immediately visible and quick to do. They seem very hurried and don't take their time as other places and it shows in the results. Customer service is really bad and employees can be rude, so as long as you do not have to speak or interact with anyone, you are fine. read more

I created a Yelp! account just to make the public aware of how disgusted I am with this place. Normally, I am a customer of Hoboken Car Wash (Observer Highway,) but today I was running late & didn't make it during their hours of operations. I always knew about Riverfront from in passing or from those annoying discount cards that they leave on your car, so I figured that I'd check the place out. Having a dog, I opted for their full services, so that my car would get vacuumed. I was very pleased with their prices. Within a matter of 5 minutes, my car was washed & dried. Something didn't seem right, especially since it usually takes my SUV almost an hour to get beautified downtown. Knowing better, I checked the inside of my car prior to leaving. To confirm my suspicions, the inside of my card had not been cleaned. One of the workers was more than pleased to pull my car around to get the proper services. He was then confronted by a coworker & they argued about having to hook the vacuum back up. To top that off, the coworker proceeded to argue with me about how the dog hair would not come up & he knew because he had been cleaning cars for 15 years. After minutes of arguing, he started to vacuum my car & not to my surprise the hair was coming up. He did a half-ass job & then slammed all the doors in my car shut. I was appalled by the customer service being that I work in an industry that strives on customer service. To add fuel to the fire, I pulled up to the Hess gas station a block away to use their vacuum. Surprise, surprise - there is no dog hair left in my car! I usually wash my car myself, but because my cars odometer turned 150,000 miles I thought I'd take my car for a celebratory spa treatment to show my appreciation for lugging me around so many miles. Granted my car is not as new or as expensive as the other cars in line that day...but I'm still a paying customer and it was a special day! When I got home from Riverfront, there were 3 one inch globs of tar-like substance on the hood of my car that weren't there before the car wash and would be hard to miss by the person drying the car since my car is silver and the globs were black. It took me sometime to rub off the grease that smeared around until I could find the right solvent in my garage to break it down. While I was at it I wound up washing the windows and hitting all the spots they missed. It was a complete waste of money and felt a bit slighted for having an older car. Try Martin's Auto Service Center at 417 12th St Union City which I found through a Yelp review for auto repair, but they also had a car wash. They hand washed, vacuumed, washed floor mats, cleaned around the inside of the car doors, trunk, cup holders, gas cap, etc for $6 or $7! I had them add on the wheels which came to a total of $10 for everything plus a tip for the tip box. That was a fraction of the Riverfront price and they did an impressive job. read more

I read the earlier review and still gave it a chance. I got the mini Detail $95 where it was the inside only, but the cleaned the car outside also and it looks I just took it off the lot!!! This might just be the biggest rip off in Hoboken. Their menu is a crock and really just forces you to get a higher priced package but they don't actually clean the car. We got the VIP package but I'm not even sure they cleaned the inside. There was still dry dirt on the inside of the door, fingerprints on the windows and water spots on the side view mirrors from the rain the other day. They are more concerned about where your "ticket" for proof of purchase is than really cleaning your car. I will never go back... EVER!!!! Everything I specifically said they missed, they missed again even though the guy repeated what I said. They never clean the dash or console but this time even the outside of the car was still dirty! Inconsistent the operative word here. Got the best "Mini Detail" EVER of my car (I have 3 kids!) a year ago for just $25. Tipped the guys profusely and was so happy. Went back 6 months later, the detail had jumped to $45 but still awesome. Tipped the guys again! Today? Went back, the "Mini Detail" is now $95. And the "maitre dee" couldn't have been more rude. Absolutely, by far the worst car wash I have ever been to. I live in Hoboken, so this is very convenient for me. I gave it a few tries and every single time it was such a waste of money. The inside of my car was still dirty, they didn't clean/spray anything in the inside of my car. The last time I watched them "clean" it and they quickly wiped down the seats but didn't touch anything near the radio, gear, center console etc. My mats still look like they weren't even vacummed. For $16.00 you would expect a job well done. Would not recommend! read more

I have been going to this place for years, with the free service after going ten times and it has always been pretty good. I had a disaster happen when my seat-belt blocked the door and it rained into my SUV overnight completely soaking the seat. On a rainy day when they were closed i drove over there, explained how mold makes me sick, the owner Ofer, came out, called in a specialist from home, explained his expertise at this after Hurricane Sandy, listened to me tell him do whatever because if he cant fix it i will buy a new $1,000 for my health, called me the next day to explain they had been able to figure out how to dry everything, charged me $150 and received a big tip and its been a month and the car is great - absolutely went above and beyond for me and i couldn't be more pleased - customer for life read more

Please do yourself a favor and do not go here. Terrible car wash/cleaning, and even worse customer service. When I spoke to the owner to express my dissatisfaction, he interrupted me repeatedly, yelled at me, and said he wasn't to blame. Horrible business owner with no regard for his customers. When I got into my car after purchasing the $17 service (which was to include vacuuming), the interior of my car looked exactly the way it did before I arrived. Not vacuumed or cleaned at all.
