10/10/25 Visit. Riverfront Green Park has a little something for all ages! It's right by the Peekskill train station *Kids- A wonderful and colorful playground area with swings and slides. Decent restroom facilities are nearby. *Adults- Seating areas to view the beautiful waterfront and stunning sculptures. Please see attached sculpture photos. Saw several men out fishing the day we visited. Across from the park, there's several places to eat. Unfortunately, cleanup needs to be done due to the Canadian geese droppings in the children's section. read more

Peekskill has some great perks, especially Riverfront Green Park, with much to take in. A playground is just a short distance from the train tracks, which I've seen numerous times when riding the train. For anyone who's into art sculptures, etc., they have a number of them throughout the park, which seems fairly recent and an additional upgrade I'm assuming. The boardwalk near the Hudson River is beautiful, with plenty of room to fit people. Decent views from that area. Some areas are a bit messy, which could be improved upon. This is a great stop in the Hudson Valley. read more

We made a day of going up to Peekskill one Sunday in late August of '19 just to grab a quick lunch then noticed Riverfront. The short stay, strolling and absorbing the sun was relaxing and peaceful- especially being up close to the Hudson River. One of the things hubs and I always appreciate is how much art work Peekskill has included in their landscape. And what a nice and quiet retreat it was for us. Even though it was a 20 minute trip heading north to come this way- this was the perfect way to slow down and go outside. Just step outdoors to appreciate this park's contemporary sculptures. And whether you're looking to escape with a book, come for a picnic or just lay on your blanket.....Isn't this what a breath of fresh air is all about? read more

The weather on the day of our visit to this waterfront park was cloudy and blustery so we did not do as much walking as anticipated. We did enjoy the sculptures and will likely return on our next trip to the Hudson Valley. read more

My friend and I were in the Peekskill area for the day and checked out this waterfront park right across from the Metro North train station. The weather was beautiful and views of the Hudson were simply gorgeous. The park had 9/11 memorials, a few sculptures and several areas that you could sit and enjoy the scenery. There's a small playground for the kids and a little picnic area. This park is a great place to unwind and people watch while eating some ice-cream or a nice cold drink in the summer. Definitely a place to check out if you're in the area. read more

Riverfront reclamation at its best. The communities up and down the Hudson River are working hard to return waterfront access to the people. This strategy works well on several levels, as is evidenced by the visitors we encountered during our walk up and down the trail: Bicyclists from NYC using Metro North to take s day to ride in the "country" Local residents out to enjoy a final day of great weather Boat owners finishing up winterizing Families out in the park, with the children, their dogs The trail and park are part of a master plan that has much ahead . As of now, the trail ends about 1/2 mile north of the Peekskill train station,but extends south to Charles Point. A number of restaurants (taco dive bar, Buns n Bourbon, Taormina, and more) take advantage of river front views to provide lunch and dinner.. Numerous artists have been engaged to deliver both 9/11 tributes, and artistic sculpture along the trail. The history and environmental legacy of Peekskill and the Hudson are pictorially represented on the railings along the trail. Who knew Peekskill used to be the hub in the river! Get out. Bring the kids. Enjoy! read more

I still have memories of this park from when I was about 5 or 6, and the huge wooden playground with those two massive metal slides that would stick to your thighs on a hot day, along with those swinging planks you had to walk over... WOW, memory lane!!! The park has come a long LONG way from 1995 and now it has gorgeous landscaped areas, art sculptures, a permanent boat launch for Trinity Cruises (A MUST if you haven't experienced already,) a boardwalk that will hopefully span an even larger portion along the Hudson, a pavilion and updated playground. So many wonderful festivals and events happen on the green as well and it is an all around fabulous and free place to hang out read more

Pleasant park to come for a stroll or to just enjoy the beautiful scenery. Nestled right along the Hudson River in Peekskill and right at the train station, this is a nice piece of nature to visit. There are paths along the water and a play ground or you can just sit and watch the trains go by (my favorite part of the park because I love trains). Only gripe is that parking is a little annoying with certain spots being 2 hours, some one hour and some four. Just take note of where you're parking or you'll come to a ticket on your windshield. A nice place to come enjoy the scenery and recommended. read more

We had a great time when we stopped down at the park for the fourth of july festivities. They had music and fireworks for the community. This was a diverse and very peaceful celebration. The park is really nice, and they had ample amounts of carnival type foods, from funnel cakes to cotton candy. All in all Peekskill NY is a really nice town to visit, and i'd suggest it very well may be a nice place to live. read more

Very clean park. Take my dog and my nephew here. The playground is huge and has lots of different activities besides you normal slides

Wow they just opened the walkway and it's absolutely perfect, beautiful views of the Hudson, dog friendly and bike friendly. I really appreciate the fact that there's emergency posts located all along the path and gazebos as well. There is also some spots where you can sneak off of the path to sit on a bench right above the rocks near the river. read more

Riverfront Green Park...you are a truly awesome gift to the city of Peekskill, NY. I cannot count the days and nights I spent here in my youth hanging out with friends. I returned here last night and was wowed with how this park has changed over the years. If you live in the area, you must take a drive down there to catch a sunset. The park boasts stunning views of the Hudson River, and is the PERFECT place to catch a sunset in the Peekskill area. During the summer, they host free concerts down here. And.. there are beautiful new statues here now too. There is also a playground for children, and a public boat launch. Thank you City of Peekskill for your work here at the park. It has transformed from a parking lot to one of the most beautiful parks in the area. I will be back Again and Again. Ah...just thinking about going there relaxes me. read more

It's my scooter destination. Sit and catch a breeze or walk a three mile loop on the new walkways. Metro north Peekskill station is across the parking lot and a 911 memorial park for a quiet moment. read more

Great park with awesome view of the Hudson river. Been here numerous times for festivals and concerts. The place is great during the summertime and great place for picnics and dates. Have a little bit of an beach area to put your beach chair up. Or play Frisbee. Lots of nearby bars too. Just don't drink and swim read more

Great park to go to for kids to play, take a nice walk, play volleyball in the sand, walk your dogs/dog. You can also have picnic in the gazebo and ride your bike. It's really a great place to do anything read more
