Worst dental experience ever I made a appointment for a cleaning and I came in Janel with burgundy redish hair immediately tells me that she doesn't have time to clean my teeth but she has time to do X-rays so I tell her I came specifically for a cleaning I stressed that when I made my appointment she goes on to tell me oh well I would have to come back for the cleaning which the next appointment is in 6 months as I'm discussing maybe rescheduling with the receptionist Janel walks in and out the waiting area several times smiling. Dentist has no experience or ability. Office is disorganized. Left their care in worse condition than when I entered.

Asked me to change my appointment to fill a time slot when someone cancelled. Reluctantly decided to do them a favor & take the opening even with it moving my original appointment up by about 2 months. At arrival, I was informed that the appointment was running behind & could I wait. I did them a favor by taking the opening, you think they could have done me a favor & informed me of the delay as I only live a few minutes away from the location. COMMUNICATION Please!!! read more

I switched to Rivergate Dental very recently because my dentist switched practices and moved to this practice. I have MAJOR anxiety and an irrational phobia of dentists offices in general, and at all my previous dental offices have never had issues with requesting gas to get through any type of appointment I have had. Not at Rivervate Dental, however. They told me that they do not allow gas for cleanings, even though my insurance has never had an issue with it. I explained my fear to the hygienist and her response was "we will just take things slowly." Sorry, that doesn't work with the level of anxiety I have. I had to leave. The front desk clerk asked why I wasn't staying and to her credit she did go see if she could talk to the office manager. After standing at the counter for what felt like forever (it wasn't, but with the anxiety attack that I was desperately trying to avoid having in a public place it felt like it). I ended up having to leave. Now i am going to have to find a new dental office that understands how to handle patients with major phobias and anxiety in these situations because Rivergate Dental obviously isnt one of those. read more

I had a gap between my two front teeth for decades. I hated it so much. I went through 5 years of orthodontia as a teenager in my old hometown before I moved to middle Tennessee. I endured years of pain and torture from my peers. Yes, my teeth were straightened, but I ended up with that gap. For decades I put up with it, never smiling for photos and keeping it hidden. I'm 52 now. Not an old man, still with plenty of life left in me. I went to other dentists trying to see if anything could be done about that gap. Got told it was too far apart, and that bonding would not fix it, and that I would end up with chicklet looking front teeth. I remained discouraged about this for SO LONG. Finally, enter Dr Roderick Frazier into my life. He told me of a new product called Lumineers. He examined me closely and said he would be willing to see what could be done. We took before photos and sent them off to the company. The computer generated after photo of what I could look like after treatment stunned me. I could not believe my eyes! Could I really end up looking like that? Oh, how I hoped so. We got the temporary kit back from Lumineers and Dr Frazier went to work. He had to slightly alter the fronts of my teeth to make the Lumineers fit. He took great care and told me every move he was making while he was treating me, "holding my hand" through the entire process. He finished the temps and handed me a mirror. The reflection I saw was overwhelming. There I was, just like the rendering from them!! Dr Frazier had done it! The gap was gone. No chicklet teeth, no nothing but beautiful, straight teeth with no gaps between them. They looked so great. And these were just the temps! I now have the permanent ones on now, and I am a new man. I have more confidence, and I actually smile for photos! I need no reason to smile now. In fact, now I smile constantly. Simply put, Dr Roderick Frazier is my hero. Thank you for doing what no other dentist was even willing to try to do. You are the best. A master craftsman. read more

I had 3 apt. all cancelled by this office, last one I showed up and the office was closed. I spoke with Daphne the office manager, she was quick to throw the receptionist under the bus and stated she would call me the next day and schedule me a new appointment with the new dentist. It has been 2 weeks and no word from the manager. This office cannot keep staff or Dentist. With a so called office manager like Daphne, I can understand. You have been warned!!! I have been a patient at this office for 10 years, Since they got rid of Dr Tibbs, it has gone down hill. I will be looking for a new Dentist. I am giving them one star because YELP will not let me give them zero stars. These dentists are crooks and they will tell you that you need dental work that you really don't. They just LOVE to do root canals. My husband went there for the first time several years ago and had a consultation with Dr. Frazier. He stated that my husband needed root canals on his top, front teeth. He went back and after they had him numbed, told him that Dr. Tibbs would be doing the procedure. He did the root canals while maxing out our dental benefits. My husband's front teeth fell out afterwards. We decided to get estimates on what it would take the repair the damage and he saw 3 dentists, 2 in Hendersonville (near our home) and 1 in Spring Hill (near his work). All three dentists have written in their records that there was absolutely no reason for my husband to have had root canals. We have spent thousands of dollars trying to repair my husband's mouth and we are not close to being finished. I begged my husband to sue but he doesn't want to deal with them. I left a review on their facebook regarding this issue and they responded "we are sorry, what can I do to help the situation" and I told them they could pay another dentist to do the implants but never heard back. I have gotten on the local fb pages and told my husband's story. People have come out of the woodwork stating that they were also told that they needed root canals then got a second opinion and didn't need them. Others have had their benefits maxed out on shoddy dental work, etc. IF you do go there and they tell you that you need extensive dental work, I would DEFINITELY get a second opinion. I would hate for more people to have to go what we and others have gone through. read more

Great experience with Dr. Tibbs! I went in needing major work and was quite anxious because of previous experiences with other dentist years ago. Dr. Tibbs got me out of pain and back on track. The end results were great and now my entire family goes to him. read more

I cannot stand going to the dentist in fact many of times I had used laughing gas for the entire process because my teeth are extremely sensitive... I came here for a cleaning and small tooth repair in the back on my left side and Christy has to be the most gentle and kind technician that I have yet to experience oddly l felt like I was using the laughing gas the entire time... I was really freaking out knowing I had to have a stupid shot lol my lord those things hurt and I don't like pain whatsoever... To my amazement Dr Tibbs instructed Christy to numb me up haha in other words " give me a shot" and I still am confused how this young lady did so painless it's the most beautiful experience choosing Dr Tibbs and with his wisdom he saw to the situation and wanted it as painless as possible and it was ! Thank God , Christy and Dr Tibbs absolutely I highly recommend this dentist office and I recommend Christy in fact I will travel distance just to experience this again . Dr Tibbs has been my dentist for close to a decade and he is very intelligent, interesting and shows compassion when needed...Megan finished my procedure assisting Dr. Tibbs and she amazing as well... I love my dentist and his staff quite honestly !!! read more
