I was a Safeway CU member, great service. They became Rivermark CU good service until they merged with Advantis. Today, you call the credit union and are placed on hold for up to an hour. When You are connected you are greeted by a non-credit union employee who knows nothing about banking. They tell you someone will call you back in 24 hours. Then I file a complaint against a company who is scamming folks. I request instructions from that company for a refund, no answer. But Rivermark Visa said that company followed procedure, ignoring the fact that company did not following their return policy. So, the credit union took the money back from my account. What more could an 83-year-old credit union member ask for. I am presently looking into other credit unions to give my business to. read more

I came here on Saturday morning at 10:35am. There was already a line of 4 people in front of me. Three people were at the kiosk. The lady at the desk was saying it's an hour wait to talk to a person. So ..stood in line. My turn to the kiosk window and it says the teller are all busy. Sorry. I stepped out to ask the lady and she says the kiosk in the middle is also like that. Busy...try again. Ummm..I waited 10 minutes to bet to front of the line. 15 minutes to wait for a teller that never show online to help me. I was upset and annoyed. Why didn't the just close the 2 kiosks at that time if they know it's going to be a wait? I also inquired why the merger happened yet not all the branches are open? Didn't know. Guess merger two banks is not doing any of the customers good. Long wait time. Poor customer service. read more

They can't improve. I called several times to get a loan application started and they don't allow you to. They say they will have someone call back and they don't. There doesn't seem to be a reason for them to exist. read more

Their customer service is terrible, not this branch but the whole company. We were an Advantis customer and were very pleased with being able to talk to someone about issues. Now, we can only talk to a call center in the Midwest who know nothing! Would not recommend this credit union. read more

I would not recommend Rivermark to anyone, I do wish it would have stay Advantis. Advantis was so much easier to work with and you could see your transaction in real time on the website when you logged into your account. I have tried making a principal only payment to my loan since March 11, 2025, and it still is not posted. I have called every day and all I get is the run around about the merger. When I 1st called, I was told it would take 24hrs to post and that they had to submit the request to a Specialist to make the payment. I have also checked my accounts online every day and also do not see any payment being made. I have waited 7 days now for a call back about my payment and still have not heard anything nor has the payment posted. read more

DOESNT EVEN DESERVE ONE STAR!!! Don't ever go to Rivermark for ANYTHING. My bf and I went in to get an auto loan, went through a 2 hour process with a girl who mentioned multiple times she was new and then come to find out, she didn't ask a question at the beginning she was supposed to ask and we find out we're actually not able to get the loan. Absolutely WRONG. I then called corporate to complain and the guy was a total knob and basically said "well it's human error". I explained that she was super nice and sweet but clearly employees aren't being trained correctly. Not once did he ask how he could help, I had to ask myself for him to relay info as needed to their higher up. What a joke. I have had my business accounts thru Rivermark for 11 years and loved them but today was horrible. Usually you see the same people that all know who you are. Today I encountered 3 very rude new people that have no business being in customer service. I still tried to open a credit line for my business but was told that the business department was backed up and couldn't help me for 5 days. I drove to US Bank and had the line of credit that I needed in 20 minutes and I don't even bank with them. read more

Had a very bad experience with a simple institution to institution transfer. I appeared to have it sorted out one day only to have the entire situation reversed the next. I had to call three times, speak with three different customer service reps and the net result was that I'll have to wait almost a week for my funds to go back to Rivermark (with no access to it in the meantime) so I can start the process over. read more

The people in branch are exceptional. However, if you are disabled, getting into this bank is difficult at best even with a few DMV permit spots. Forget the customer assistance team. You either get a great one or you don't. No company seems to believe in the importance of good customer service anymore. If you value your time and energy, think twice. Negative experiences have been steadily building over the last 12+ months. Today's "customer service" negativity just was too much. Attitude. Sarcasm. Rudeness. Threatening. If it was appropriate to name this person, I would. There are just some that shouldn't be in customer service; this person is one. When my next check deposits, I will be leaving. Hands down the best bank I've ever banked with. They're super helpful. I've been dealing with my auto loan through them since 2016 and they've been nothing but kind. I switched to Rivermark over 10 years ago back when they were Safeway Credit Union. I have had nothing but great service from them. They have great rats on their credit cards and lines of credit. We also have our auto loan through them. This location is right in Gresham Station and near my house. I love their mobile App. It is easy to use and has good security. The mobile deposit feature is so nice. I visit the branch a few times a year and o my when I need to make a large withdrawal from my account. Best thing I ever did was drop my bank and switch to RiverMark. read more

Rivermark is the definition of why I don't do business with a conventional bank. They have excellent customer service both on the phone and in person. I do admit having the tellers located in Beaverton and you talk with them via on screen in the branch seemed a bit cagey at first but with hours up until 8pm on weekdays is a great business model. Just this one incentive demonstrates they are looking to help the customer. If there's an issue they are always willing to talk about it and listen. Makes me wonder why I wasn't a customer long ago. read more

Who knew you could get a hold on cash that you deposit. I was sold a big game when I switched to Rivermark last month. They said I wouldn't experience holds like the ones I described at my last banking institution. I can tell you one thing, my last banking institution never put a hold on any money I deposited into the ATM (which the ATM counted and rejected one bill it didn't trust and I kept) during business hours let alone for three days. I had to drive down to the bank and deposit more cash today to clear a check for my auto payment, even though I deposited more than enough cash yesterday. This place is becoming a joke we got a loan for a car and now it seems like we can't even make a payment. It's been over a month and we've never received a billing and we are trying to figure out what is going on .I can never get a hold of anybody. We were told after the first payment it will come automatically out of our bank account and that's all that was said ,and now we don't know what is going on if or how they got our bank number. It almost seems like they are trying to ruin our good credit! We can't even seem to find a number to call to figure out where to send a check or how to get a billing or even if they can take it out of our account. read more

Absolutely LOVE banking at Rivermark and I use that word very seriously! I've never experienced a more efficient advanced banking process than the one Rivermark provides to its customers. If you are on the fence about switch to a community credit union just do it! You're not going to get treated more like a person and less like a number anywhere else. read more

Going into Rivermark and opening an account was such a cool experience- the customer service was great and it was fast, easy, mellow, and I loved that there were zero fees. Weeks later, I made my first withdrawal from the branch. It was very crowded and I had to say all of my information to a kiosk camera in front of two lines of people waiting. Later that same day, I had two $16 and $8 charges on my card that I did not do. Yep, I had fraud already, just like so many other people have experienced here. Good thing I caught it, because the people at Rivermark sure didn't. I had to call the morning after I found it because the after hours number they had online was disconnected. When I finally called Rivermark and let them know that I had fraud on my card, the person I was talking to was acting indifferent and almost suspicious and interrogating me about the charges. They temporarily reimbursed me. Now, I have to file something with visa and I might have to pay them back?? The worst part is that I really liked it here at first. I didn't want to listen to all the other people saying that they had this happen to them. It's really a shame and I'm incredibly disappointed. read more

This is the stupidest idea for a bank ever. Kiosks?! I wanted to make a cash deposit and had to put my cash into the machine four or fives times while a live teller kiosk person watched me. The cash kept getting spat out over and over. Her service was great but the experience honestly made me feel like the bank can't be bothered to have real people to help me. Meanwhile in the bank there were four other people that worked their standing around not doing anything. Not a good experience. read more

Overall I like Rivermark, but I'm not fond of the new Gresham branch, which just seems to have added showy nonsense. The staff at the Gresham branch are professional, but the kiosks seem to be a whiz-bang feature to advertise but provide no real value. Online services, ATMs, etc. take care of the need for kiosks. And I only visit the branch (roughly once or twice per year) when I need more advance assistance or services that the 'kiosk' tellers and added branch technology can't handle anyways. Rivermark seems to be centralizing more and more services, which means the staff (and call center agents) that are still onsite or in their call center are unable to assist me beyond routine requests, again which doesn't fit my needs a member. What I want are low/no account fees, free and glitch-free online services, low loan rates, and fast/easy service. I don't care about technology in the branch which I will never use. As a consumer, I have myriads of banking options, including pure online banks which tend to be more economical. But I choose to bank at a local credit union because I know that in the rare case I do need in-person assistance, I have a branch close by staffed by knowledgeable people who can assist me. I'll stay at Rivermark for the time being. But if the personal, knowledgeable assistance continues to be centralized or reduced to kiosks, I might 'vote with my feet' and go elsewhere. read more

At first Rivermark was fabulous, so it seemed. Then at random times there would be weird transactions that I hadn't made, small but still noticeable. Then beginning a few months ago, hundreds of dollars disappeared from my account while I was very ill and unable to leave my home. I called Rivermark and reported my card stollen (after being on hold for quite sometime.) I asked the CS agent if he would recommend I get a new account entirely with them to avoid this from happening again "no ma'am, you'll be set up with the new chip card, which had better security now!" And I got my card a few days later. Still being ill, I didn't do anything, then the transactions occurred again, basically the same transactions, plus some. So I called and waited to speak with someone again. I told them what happened and asked for a new card. They said it'd be mailed out right away and I'll receive it soon and my finances would be reimbursed. Almost 3 weeks later, I still had no card and no funds in my account. (Which was very worrisome due to upcoming bills and an upcoming trip to Mexico for Christmas.) so I called AGAIN, and found out that I spoke with a VISA representative and they couldn't help me at all. So I had to repeat myself to an actual agent and try to get this figured out. I went to a branch to get my new card and pull out money for my trip and bills. Then left for vacation. I leave my card at home in my car, and took cash with me only. And I come back from Mexico, to my card gone and all of my funds in my account gone. THREE TIMES MY MONEY WAS STOLEN. So I went to the branch and told them what happened and who I thought might have done it, and they questioned me like I was on trial for murder and didn't trust a word I was saying. What kind of security do they actually have on their accounts? Seriously. So then I think it's all worked out, I even start a new "membership" with them to try to avoid the occurrence again, but now it's been a month since I sat in what felt like an interrogation room and my funds still aren't in my account. I called yesterday to see the status was placed on hold for 20 minutes total only to be told that someone would call me today. Well someone did call me today (left a voicemail due to being busy) saying someone would now call me tomorrow and either tell me I can have MY FUNDS back or they'll cut off my account with them entirely. I definitely will be banking else where after this. And I'm not the only one whose experienced this recently with Rivermark. read more

Both my parents closed their bank accounts and have moved all their checking and savings to this credit union, and recommended I do the same. Yesterday I went to open my account and I left disappointed in their customer service and opted out from doing business with them. Not only was I was upset by the team wearing jeans, and the gentlemen employee having his shirt untucked and wrinkled. But the customer service was appalling. One employee was working with an older gentleman who had a difficult time understanding the instructions she was giving him. Once the customer started to walk away the four employees exchanged rude comments and rolled their eyes and the customer had not even reached the door yet. My mother and I sat in the chairs waiting and could hear and see their exchanges. The employee walked over and called us to her table, and I told her I decided against doing business with them. I told her how I saw her roll her eyes and heard their comments. I said I would prefer not to open an account and do business with them because of their customer service. My mother and I started to walk towards the door and we could hear their exchanges about us begin. read more
