Horrible experience using this company…read more I used Greenbriar landscape to install sod in April '21. Despite crew stating they'd first remove the visible rocks that are a fist size or bigger, they never did. Proof of this is had in the dozens of small areas where the grass was dying. Upon digging up each of these areas there were large rocks underneath. Also during sod install the crew left a small gap in between each of the strips of sod which became a tripping hazard after nearly every step. The yard looked like a jigsaw puzzle and you could clearly point out the size of each piece that was laid. I was told this would fill in over time on its own however it never did until I started to lay seed throughout all the gaps. I spoke to Kathleen Boone at the time of noticing these concerns and she said she'd come out and take a look. The first time she was to show she called just prior and said she couldn't make it. The 2nd time she was to show I called her when she hadn't arrived yet and she said she couldn't make it. The 3rd time she was a no show once again and never answered my calls thereafter. Shortly after this, it was uncovered that Greenbriar never reached out to TN One Call prior to installing the 52 arborvitae trees that they planted at the back of my property about a month prior to when they laid the sod. If they had followed the law and scheduled the call then a water line would have been uncovered. Due to their negligence as the installers, I was notified by Consolidated Utility District that the trees have been planted directly over a water line and by law need to be removed. Kathleen, nor the owner of Greenbriar, Shane Fogle are willing to correct any of the issues in which they caused. Shane has never once responded to my emails, and Kathleen stopped responding altogether. The last time we were on the phone she hung up. The fact that this company is in business and operates in this manner is sickening. Thousands of dollars have been lost due to their negligence and thousands are still needed to correct their mistakes and start from scratch. My only hope with this honest and thorough review is that people see it before making the same mistake I did.

Green Foot Landscaping is terrible. I had my front yard sodded with irrigation and the back yard…read moreraked and seeded. The sod quality was a joke. Green Foot did not even lay sod to my lot line leaving gaps of 1 to 3 feet. The labors looked like a bunch of high schoolers who had never laid sod before. The irrigation system misses all of the landscape beds and the owner, Randy Polster, said that I didn't need to water the plants. What kind of plants don't need water!! The sod is choppy and uneven with big gaps and clumps. In the back yard they missed 1/3 of my yard with the rake leaving all of the weeds standing. I had Randy meet me at the house after the work was completed to show him the crappy quality. He said the seed in the back yard would come up an it would be fine. He said that he would come back in the spring to roll the yard and over seed. Well is wasn't fine and I spent the entire winter with a muddy mess to deal with. This spring there is hardly any grass at all. In addition, Green Foot broke off an aluminum fence post with the rake and never bothered to tell me about it. I found it this spring. I have been calling Green Foot for the past three weeks and left messages about the promise to roll and over seed the yard and the broken fence post. I have not received any return calls. Do not make the same mistake that I did and use Green Foot for your landscaping needs. Randy will look you right in the eye and tell you everything you want to here but don't be fooled like I was. I have found another landscaper to fix all of the mess that Green Foot created. I hope this review helps the next homeowner make a better decision than I did when choosing a landscape company.

My 86 year old Mom has lived in her home in Franklin for more than 25 years. We lost my dad over 13…read moreyears ago. She prides herself in her lawn and her beautiful flower garden that she works in daily. My sister and I are so proud of her to be able to live alone, take care of herself, and although a cancer survivor, to now be able to work in her yard again. First, the good news: We encouraged her not to mow her own lawn anymore, and in Spring of 2021 she hired Scott Lawn & Landscape, Inc., in Franklin, KY. That was fine. Now, for the not so good news: She has not been happy for years about the many weeds in her yard and after hiring Scott Lawn & Landscape Inc. in early 2021 she discussed with the owner, what might be done to eliminate them. She was told that she had to wait until August to kill the grass, by spraying it twice, then aerating, then reseeding. She knows it was raining when he came to spray once. Although she is on a limited income, she paid him in full, $2200 in 2021, when he began the process. The problem began in 2022, as the grass started to grow so did more weeds than she has ever had before! Mom didn't call the owner, because she thought that he would stop to take a look since he does several in her neighborhood. She wanted to ask him why she had so many more weeds since he sprayed to kill everything. In late March, she finally called him. During her call, the owner was trying to tell her that he wasn't done, and would still have to come back a few times to complete what he had started. She didn't care what chemicals, seed, etc. cost, she just did not want to see any weeds. During the call, she was so frustrated and disappointed, that she told him not to come back. At that point, she called me crying. Unfortunately, I live 900 miles away and didn't know what to do. So, I called him to discuss the weed problem. As a business woman, I listened intently to him to see what he had to say. Then I explained why she was so upset. When I inquired as to how there could be so many weeds, after he sprayed to kill everything, he responded, "well, I don't spray lawns anymore." That made me wonder if he might possibly have had other complaints. He also assured me he was not finished and would be back to complete the job. He said that he and his wife would go to Mom's house and talk to her and explain the next steps, however, I asked him to wait until the next week, to give me time to talk to her. This was the end of March. Now, over 7 weeks later, I have just spent a week at her house. Yes, she certainly has more weeds than grass! There are also some bare spots with no grass, but lots of grass in the flower beds! He still has not come by her house, called, or completed the job he was paid to do. Does this sound like good customer service to you? He should at least give her a refund for the work not completed, rather than ignoring the problem and doing nothing. She is on a fixed income, and feels as if she wasted her money. While there, we hired Tru-Green to take care of the weeds. It looks better already. He seems to pride himself on his work, but if a job is not completed, and your customer service is lacking, how can a business get rave reviews? The only reason I give him 1 star is that 0 stars was not available.
