It brought new options to shop at in Natomas and a smile to my face, but also brought in more traffic to the already congested intersection of Truxel Road & Gateway Park Boulevard where Natomas Marketplace is. The plus side was that it extended North Freeway Boulevard from were it used to dead end right through the shopping center to Gateway Park Boulevard. Kind of a back exit/entrance of sorts and to avoid all that traffic from Truxel. The place also had (and still has) an outdoor village area with shops typically found in shopping malls. It included Aeropostale, American Eagle Outfitters, Anchor Blue, Claire's, Journeys, Lids, PacSun and Tilly's. When the recession hit, Linens-N-Things was one of the first to go, as it went out of business. Then, in an unprecedented move, Sam's Club closed down. Luckily these spaces have been filled by Bed Bath & Beyond, Ashley Furniture and Burlington. The outdoor village didn't fare as well. Anchor Blue went out of business, then, over the years, AE, Lids, PacSun, Aeropostale, Journeys, Claire's, and, recently, Tilly's all closed down, leaving it a virtual ghost town and utter disappointment in my face. Others that have departed included OfficeMax, Pier 1, Qdoba, Starbucks (in the outdoor village area, not the one inside Target) Johnny Rockets and Mimi's Cafe. Despite all the departures from this huge shopping center, it still has a decent selection of stores and places to eat, with Target and Best Buy being the ones I frequent the most.

I know this is true, because I've often seen jackrabbits hopping through parking lots and construction sites. I've seen the fog rolling across the fields and the 80. What we lack in signage we gain in variety. Best Buy, BevMO, Buffalo Wild Wings. Tilly's, Target, Tokyo Steakhouse. And now open, Burlington Coat Factory and Panda Express. Latest news, as of the Summer of 2013, the sprawling shopping plaza is hosting a farmer's market. Saturdays, 8 a.m. to noon. Good job, Natomas, keeping your fair citizens away from downtown!

Natomas Town Center sounds like a government own entertainment building. But it is a neighborhood…read moreshopping center with a supermarket, gas station, bank, AAA, drugstore, and many restaurants. The best part of Natomas Town Center is the food court area. Many restaurants, including an Indian restaurant, Chinese restaurant, Japanese restaurant, wings store, boba tea bar, etc. Most of these restaurants have indoor seating, and they have also shared a huge outdoor seating area. More restaurants across the parking lot with a newly opened Tasty Pot just opened a week ago. The shopping center layout is not the best. It separated the supermarket and gas station from the rest of the stores. The entrances on both sides of the shopping center are often traffic-jammed because they have parking spaces right at the entrance. My car jammed up to the street a few times because someone stopped right at the entrance waiting for parking! Also, they have only a few shading areas in the shopping center!

Signage is poor but we found it anyway. Can't comment on the other vendors in this section of the Arden Fair mall which is at the Cheesecake Factory end, but being an annex area parking was significantly better than the mall overall.

I came to Market Square today to try to have dinner in the Hamburger restaurant inside the food court area. They are pretty good before the pandemic. Unfortunately! The restaurant is gone! Most of the businesses inside the building are closed too. I think they have 2-3 restaurants remaining in the food court. They are usually next to the UA Theatres. I guess all the restaurants in the food court suffer after the theatres are gone! The inside of the shopping mall looks like a ghost town. I don't think I want to have my dinner here. I am decided to have my dinner somewhere else!

Place seems pretty bare these days…read more Has had some decent offerings, however most of them have closed or moved. Still show up once in a blue moon to go to Mikuni's. Generally pass through here with my dog. It's one of the few places left with open lawn. Even though I walk through it every once in a while with the dog it's okay because half of the places are vacant and the other half aren't open when I'm passing by.

They have some relatively new things happening over here from comedy clubs, a school, , movie theater, places to dine and dessert- you really cannot go wrong... eat shop and dessert- not necessarily in that order. Down the street a ways from my house- I usually go here for shopping and there is a ton of parking :)

Not only is there the Westlake Market for your weekly groceries, but they also have beauty salons, a number of eateries, *~MANDRO~*, and a bunch more. I believe that Lamppost Pizza, Shanghai Town, and Chuy's Tacqueria are here, so you have a decent selection of places to drop by for a meal. My favorite boba place, Mandro Teahouse, is also here! The other businesses nearby, like Abba Salon and Mattress Express, I don't frequent much nor do most college students, so I can only imagine that mostly locals go there. I also go to Family Dollar quite often for my cheapo college student needs LOL. Still cool to have so much variety in such a small plaza, though :) Really accessible-- there are two bus stops that are on each side of the plaza, one near Family Dollar on Arlington and the other across the parking lot on Lake. I bus or walk here from my apartment from time to time to get groceries or study at Mandro. For the apartments in West, I think this little plaza is super convenient and useful. Every once in a while, they have a small food truck festival in the parking lot that features local eats. I'm not too sure of the exact dates but there is one during Picnic Day which gets pretty popular! It's awesome that they have little things that build and engage the community.

Old buildings that have been refurbished and renovated into lofts and shops, it's a fun area. Adjacent to the Ice Blocks, in the R Street Corridor you will delicious places like Carmelita's Coffee, yummy breakfast spot Fox, Mas Tacos which serve up some unique tacos and stiff margaritas! Parking can be the only con about the R St. area but that's downtown. You'll either find street/metered parking or private paid lots. Sometimes they hold events like night Market or art fairs to be sure to add R St. events as a bookmark and stay tuned!

The parking lot is plentiful but can be an issue during peak hours. Value seems great, it's a very popular area with a great selection of affordable shops and food experiences. You can also find several apartment complexes that offer a wide variety of livable spaces. The service from all employees were always very professional, people seem happy to work there.
