After my first visit with Dr. Chang, I knew he was the doctor I had been seeking. I had previously tried Acupuncture but felt that the complaints regarding my aliments were being ignored. I went to see Dr. Chang for anxiety and stress issues. With the first acupuncture treatment, I felt a hundred pounds lighter. Dr. Chang is a warm, kind, compassionate and knowledgeable professional. He treats the person's mind, body and spirit. He is truly God sent.

After only 3 sessions with Dr Chang. Amazing!

I had a terrible hives breakout all over me after attending a wedding & my doctors told me I'd have to take a 6 month treatment, & I was also told I should consider doing a weekly allergy shot for a year in order to help my situation. Another time (months later) I was dealing with a situation where I could not grasp anything with my hands without the feeling of pins and needles & heat in my palms. I knew my body was trying to tell me something and for 3 months my doctors just didn't take me seriously to help me figure it out. Both situations I ended up going to Lin Sisters & within a week of what I was dealing with, my symptoms were gone. It's a two week herbal medicine they gave me & honestly within days of taking the tea my symptoms both times had subsided. The third was for my son & again, the symptoms he was dealing with subsided with the herbal tea they prescribed for him. American medicine is just a bandaid whereas holistic medicine will actually search for the root cause & work from there & for that, I am grateful to the work Lin Sisters office does. The front staff & the doctor are truly all very pleasant people & you're for sure in good hands here.

This review is based on accompanying my friend to see the TCM doctor/Clinic…read more My friend has been suffering from joint pain and pain in her fingers. She has seen another TCM doctor before but she was recommended Lin Sister. We didn't have an appointment and luckily they were not very busy. You fill out the form and they give you a number. The TCM doctor call you by that number. The clinic entrance is in the back of the shop and up one flight of stairs. We waited for about 15-20 minutes and was seen. He held her wrist and listen/feel the pulse. He asked a bunch of questions and wrote down a bunch of notes. He asked if she was sleeping good? Do you get up to use the bathroom middle of the night? Do you have headaches? Is your mouth dry? Are you pooing once a day? After 15 minutes of this, he gave her a list of Chinese herbal medicines to purchase downstairs. Told her to come back and see him in about a week or two after she is done with the meds. The modern (Americanize) TCM is now in packets and you mix them in hot water for consumption. The boiling actual herbs and ingredients in a pot days are gone! Interesting! Not sure what I make of this but what I can tell you is that my friend didn't feel any difference. I understand it's not magic potion and it takes time. A couple of months later, my friend saw a specialist and had a bunch of testing and blood work. She was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. :-( Consultation $40 Herbal Meds $8 for a set x 7 days.

IVF was both physically and emotionally exhausting, and I believe having Sharon's expertise in TCM and acupuncture really made a difference for me. She truly cares about her patients and is invested in helping them and bettering their health. She always made sure that I was able to find appointments that fit my schedule, and made sure that either she or her colleague, Erin (who is also so wonderful!), were able to fit me in for last minute sessions before and after my egg retrievals and embryo transfers. Now that I'm pregnant, she's been helping me through my pregnancy symptoms, and I feel relief and relaxed after every session. I'm so grateful to have found her and the practice will continue to seek support postpartum. I can't recommend Sharon and Five Seasons enough!

I *always* feel better after our sessions, and on the pregnancy front - acupuncture was the only thing that gave me any relief from the nausea. She also does cupping and gua-sha where I need it -- routine shoulder and neck pain, but also against my ribs and thighs to help open things up during pregnancy (iyk, yk). I strongly recommend Erin -- she's a miracle worker.

My friend kept on my case that I should see a doctor. Unfortunately I don't have any insurance and any out of pocket cost would be a problem. Then I remembered as a kid my mom took me to a Chinese bonesetter for a foot injury. I searched the internet and Mak Suk Dit Da came up. As the reviews were fairly old, I decided to take a chance. I just went to the address and rung his doorbell, and he accepted me as a walk in. I spoke Cantonese to him and I sat down and explained my injury. He said to place my foot on the stool and he massaged and stretched my left foot and applied an herbal poultice. I asked him if he was ever on Elizabeth st. I told him my mom took me to bonesetter when I was 8 or 9 (about 50+ year) and it was the same person. I'm happy to have found him again for my injury. The whole process took about 15 minutes. I remember him as having a magic touch and had a great reputation for dit da bone-setting. As he finished wrapping up the bandage around my ankle and foot, he said the injury wasn't serious and that I should be okay to remove bandages in a couple of days. The cost was very decent for today's price. As I exited his office and went home, the pain was much lessen and ankle more mobile. I didn't limp as much after the treatment. Thank you.

This is one of those hidden gems in Chinatown. All of my Chinese friends know of Uncle Mak or "Mak…read moreSuk". The magical healer for all things related to sprains, joints, and other injuries. Ok, maybe I'm making it sound like he's a god. He does have his limits as I tried to come a few years ago. I told him I had a dislocated shoulder that happened 8 years ago. He was honest with me and said that I waited too long to see him and that he couldn't help me. But any fresh injuries, I would say give him a try. I sprained my ankle during softball on Sunday and had lots of pain going up and down the stairs. I could barely put any weight on it while walking. So for me to go all the way to Chinatown on the 2nd floor was a trip. I took off on Monday to see him and he took a look at my ankle and quickly diagnosed it as a tendon injury. Plastered some magic poop looking paste into some gauze and placed it on my ankle. Wrapped it up and told me to keep it on for 24 hours. It's now Tuesday and I can walk up and down the stairs without weeping like a little child. I swear that family recipe ointment is gold. I'm convinced that if you, god forbid, cut a finger off this can help you grow a new one. In 48 hours, I feel soo much better!
