There's a train running on track suspended from the wall by the ceiling around the bar, over bridges and through little city scenes. Simple food, plainly served. I had a great hand-made 1/4 lb. burger (mushroom swiss) with extra crispy waffle fries as I requested. Burger was delish, side of crispy waffle fries perfect, accompanied by an icy mug of Creme Ale. Friend had the daily special, sloppy joes. The meat is provided fresh by the Rieder Meat Market & Lockers next door. I think our lunches with the beers were around $10. Extremely reasonable, free popcorn, sports on tv's all around. Nice inside with a large patio with umbrella tables outside. (They aer NOT dog-friendly on the patio.) Fast friendly service, they were well staffed for a Tuesday lunch hour. Friend confirmed a bar full of regulars who come for daily lunch. She tells me they let the one guy take home popcorn to feed his squirrels. Bringing the husband back for the burgers and to see the train.

They do have a back patio that is fairly large, which I appreciated, but during the day it did not feel very inviting. Without lighting or much going on, it came off a bit plain. As for drinks, I tried a non alcoholic half and half with lemonade and iced tea, which I actually really liked. I also had a mojito style cocktail that was not my favorite and tasted a bit too strong for me. The overall vibe just was not really my thing, but I could see it being more fun at night or with a bigger group.

(I realize that might be ambiguous, so what I mean by "great for solo people" is that you won't feel uncomfortable coming here alone. It's easy to chat with people if you want to; it's easy to just enjoy the music if you want to.) Okay, I know you want to hear about the drinks. They have a great selection of beer on tap. They have tons of cocktails, including a selection of barrel-finished cocktails. Not drinking tonight? I have been a frequent customer to the Luce line lodge over the last 15 years and in the recent…read morevisits I have been making the service and food has been not great. Last night I placed an order to go and ordered wings and my mom ordered a club sandwich and asked for season sour cream with her waffle fries. We picked up the items right when they were ready and when we got home a few mins later I discovered that there was barely any Thai peanut sauce on my wings and they were incredibly dry!! My mom didn't receive her sour cream for her waffle fries so I decided to call and let them know. The person that answered the phone didn't apologize and said she can't refund the credit card that it was purchased. Her next solution was for us to drive back to get a side of sauce.....and then our food would be cold. She said she could give a gift card and I said I would pick it up the next day. When I went to the lodge today the gift card wasn't ready for pick up and Meghan only said to give a gift card for $7 and the wings were $13. I asked why the winds weren't fully refunded and the bartender said he couldn't do anything and wasn't helpful. He just said talk to Meghan which originally she never did her job and hold the gift card. The service has really gone down in the years and you can tell cause how few customers are there anymore. The seats are dirty and need to be replaced.
