DO NOT HIRE THIS MAN. It took a long time for me to post anything and I debated for a while but to think he can do this to someone else, I had to say something. Months after his work, we are still paying the consequences. He's very sloppy, unorganized, and careless. The tile work he did in our bathroom-- we'll eventually have to get it all re-done in the future since it's crooked. Thank god we have a shower curtain to hide it, but it's an eyesore. He also upgraded our electrical panel and he did a shotty job replacing the weatherhead on the roof that we now have spend money to fix. He never finished his projects and went MIA on us. Thank god we never paid him the full amount, but I feel what we did pay for was not worth it. He'll lure you in with great deals but you definitely get what you pay for. Please be careful. read more

We had Scotty come out on a Saturday at 8PM. We had an issue regarding our door lock closing, and he was able to fix it fairly quickly!

This is the first time I have ever called a handyman to have some work done, and it was completed the very same day! He did a great job, replacing some tracks in some bathroom drawers. They work like brand new silver dollars now. Very nice man who did a great job. I will be calling him again soon to do some other work. read more

Scotty came to help with hanging 25-40lb mirrors, replacing the thermostat on our wine fridge, reseal some loose grout from tile, and securely hanging a enormous painting in our living room located on a high alcove. Because I was raised if you dont have something good to say, keep it to yourself, I take reviews very repsonsibly. I RELIED on reviews to hire a handyman for a project (with many projects in the horrizon right now). Scotty talked well on phone, had no reason to not trust. I got report for a repair plan, however, found he never even went to the property. Never showed up. Sent me phony update. This is confirmed twice with tenants with camera that proves never been there. These are the facts. I wont give further "opinion" just that I will only share a negative opinion if its a safety matter or consumer awareness matter. Im a property manager, licensed real estate broker and this matter is of moral obligation to report this experience. Live by faith and I was stopped from moving any further with this service. Once trust is lost, how can you get it back after outright fabribating report? Due to privacy of screenshot messages, I will not post photos of Scotty's report and updates and the tenants response to it. I do not intend to cause personal embarrassment. Hired him to re-grout bathrooms and replace faucets. Unfortunately, the results were not great, I understood he mentioned the tile was not flat in some areas but I shouldn't have to point out the defects I still see in order to give me the response. He replaced the faucet and was leaking, I told him and came back to fix it, but he left and was still leaking. Send a message to phone and Yelp and never responded. Had to hire someone else to fix the leak, plus left haze and grout all over and had to spend money to clean the grout and haze left all over. read more

I had a list of little projects that needed to be done and Scottie was able to complete them within a few days of my call. He installed a new stop gap and hose for the dishwasher, installed a towel rack and TP holder, changed out 2 faucets outside, tightened 2 bathroom faucets, replaced the insides of the toilets, and tried to fix the rails/rollers on 2 closet doors, but they were too far gone, so was not able to do it. At the beginning of the heat spell in July, the wall air conditioner went out in my rental house. Scotty came early afternoon Friday (same day of call) to give me an estimate and said he could do the install that evening. (Very considerate of the renter!) We did not have the new unit on site, so he said he could do it next day. However, he soon communicated a conflict and said he could do it early Sunday. He had to cut the old unit out, install the new one and patch the wall. It was done quickly and efficiently. We were very appreciative that he was able to do it on a Sunday to get the renter some relief. Scotty was very knowledgeable and punctual, even arriving early to get organized. I don't know what happened with Scotty (The Riverside Handyman Services guy). We had an appointment at 1pm to modify a cabinet and by the time I went to open the property gate, just before 1pm - anticipating his arrival, he had left a message on my mobile phone (at 12:54pm) that he could not enter the property and left. Did not wait or anything. I called and texted him with no response from him. I cannot believe that someone who wanted to do the job wouldn't wait at least a few minutes past the agreed job time. I did not hear the mobile phone when it rang because I was preparing the work area for him. Not sure what the issue is here but seems to me that he had another more pressing preferred job or other task to do and really did not want my job; or some other substance or beverage had a more enticing appeal. read more
