Grapes!
Erin B.

This place is beautiful countryside. The tour guide was knowledgable. The grapes are all grown at the winery to make the wine. That is what makes them an estate winery. We were provided with glasses to taste the wine. Some was too dry for me, but several were deliciously light and sweet. Come here and relax. It is a great way to spend some time on a beautiful day.

Throughout this week, we were provided decent food and excellent customer service. Staff were incredibly hospitable and always took great care of the group. The food was decent, about what you'd expect for large quantities of food being prepared at once. As far as the rooms go, they were clean, though a little bit dated and could use a good update. There was a bit of a lingering smoke smell, even being on a non smoking floor. Overall good experience and decent stay.

The restaurant selection was limited to three options. An upscale steak restaurant, a sports bar and a cafe. The casino was fine, but if second had smoke bothers you it will Be an issue. The bar in the casino was always backed up with a long slow moving line and the prices were not discounted. Overall, it was fine, but it definitely did not blow me away. Edit: I took this down to two stars. I got this morning to no hot water. Last night my wife said she got lukewarm water for her shower. Hot water is an expectation for any hotel and especially a place that clams it's a "luxury resort". If you look over my review catalogue you will see I give out 4/5 star reviews fairly regularly and 1/2 stars is rare for me. This was a disappointment from Belterra.

I don't love the cocktail bars with aloof service that seem to think ignoring you is excellent customer service. The happy hour slaps - the prices are actually really good and it goes until 7pm. My bestie is obsessed with their low price on La Marca. I have tried several of their daiquiris and cocktails and haven't found a loser yet. They don't have food but that just means they are pet-friendly. There is plenty of food in the area (for pete's sake, OTR Kroger is across the street). I wouldn't mind some snack availability but it's fine. I love the Key West/Hemingway-inspired decor. You'll be comfortable no matter how dressed up or dressed down you are. I love when the weather allows for the big windows to be open. The patio is great people watching. There is also several parking options nearby. The meters on Court St, a pay lot on the next block, or if you spend at least $15 at Kroger, you can get three hours of free parking. And that's the perfect amount to spend on snacks! Check out Pilar if you're looking for a laid-back vibe and decor but top-shelf service and cocktail options. Don't forget your dog!

The rooms are all lovely and so beautifully appointed and their service is top notch. What's more their breakfasts are expertly and beautifully presented by chef Mark. Yes, if I am in Louisville again, I will definitely stay here and recommend all my friends and family do the same.

Jeremy and Mark have a beautiful B&B and the attention to detail will exceed any expectation. My husband and I stayed 5 nights in the Rose Cottage for his 50th birthday in early September. The amazing cottage was comfortable and quiet with everything needed for our stay. The main house is beautifully appointed and decorated and your hosts think of every detail. Nice touches included flavored whiskeys and treats made by Mark available in the common area at all times. The breakfast available each morning (prepared by Mark) was amazing and the menu is diverse enough to cater to any taste. Jeremy and Mark are truly passionate about Louisville and Jeremy provided awesome suggestions for tours, dining, and other activities. Jeremy also keeps a fine selection of bourbons in-house and his Black Walnut Old-Fashioned is a must try! Jeremy and Mark have forged relationships locally that can give your stay something extra, as well. We booked the Birthday Package, which included a bouquet of flowers, delicious cake from an established local bakery and two of the Black Walnut Old Fashioned's. We also added on the Angels Envy Package which was well worth the money! It included two leather covered glasses, a giftcard to a local steakhouse that has an amazing assortment of whiskeys, a special bottle of Angel's Envy and two tickets to their distillery tour. Which ended up being one of our favorite, and most informative tours of our stay. My husband and I found Inn at Woodhaven to be absolutely spectacular and we were already booking our next stay within two weeks of being home. We truly felt like we were leaving a friend when we departed.

My friend enjoyed it but it needed to be served with bread. Salsiccia Alla Pizzaiola - this was good-great, my friends really liked it. It was a tomato sauce with sausage. Not soupy but very saucy. Barchetta di Pane - this was the next actually which surprised us all. The bread, cheese, and sauce were all so flavorful, fresh, and complimented each other. TS Farms Chicken Quarter- this was very good. My friend who got the branzino ends dip likening this more and I ended up liking the branzino more. The chicken was definitely more filling than the branzino. Branzino- this was light and refreshing. It's a small portion but very good. I would order this again for sure. Rhubarb Pastry - fantastic. Maybe a touch sweet for me but everyone at our table loved this. Service was great. Very knowledgeable of the menu and kind. Everything came out at a good speed: not slow and not too fast. (I hate when things come out too fast). It's a NY style atmosphere with lots of natural light in the front from windows and darker in the back. There is also outdoor seating I have yet to check out cause it's been too hot.
