I have been a customer of this laundromat for over five years, but after my recent experience, I will never return. I brought in two expensive parkas for dry cleaning and they were returned with a strong, foul odor that absolutely was not there when I dropped them off. When I brought the issue to their attention, I was told to come back in two days. When I returned, the coats were still hanging on the same rack where they had been left two days earlier, still smelling terrible. It was obvious they had never even been sent out for re-cleaning. Over the next week and a half, I repeatedly called and was told they needed more time. Eventually, the coats were returned and the odor was finally gone. However, when I asked for a discount or some form of compensation for the inconvenience and the fact that they had caused the problem in the first place, the owner, Albert, simply insisted that "they got the smell out." When I pointed out that the coats were not dropped off smelling that way and that the problem was created by their service, he refused to take responsibility. The best he offered was a discount on a future service. After five years as a loyal customer, that was the extent of their customer service. Mistakes happen. What matters is how a business responds when they do. In this case, there was poor communication, a lack of accountability, and no effort to make things right. We reserved luggage storage at this location ahead of time. We showed up the morning of and the location was locked and dark. There was no sign on the door indicating an unexpected closure. We tried to call and text, but no response. Two other customers were also in the same situation. Ultimately, we had to extend an extra day on our AirBnB so that we had someone to store our bags. Price Changing They raised the price of my dry cleaning TWICE after I dropped it off. They took the receipt I brought in to pick my items back up and threw into the trash immediately and gave me a higher total by $12.00 this time. They don't say anything, they try to just slide in a higher price (both times). The last time he said he could not find my receipt in the trash. The a machine are definitely over priced for what you are getting. My washers ranger from9.50 for extra large which is the size for large. 6.95 for large which is the size for medium 5.50 for medium and 4.50 for small. The washer do not fill will enough water. When I wash my machine didn't fill will any. The person that worked there said it because I chosed cold water was. She did offer compensation for my close not washing, just out of 5.50 with dirt clothes. The dryer are .40cents for 7mins. And nope, they do not work very well. I just call or text to schedule a pickup time, and usually they accommodate me the same day. 1-2 days later my clothes arrive back at my doorstep, washed and folded/dry cleaned. This place has gotten progressively grosser over the last year. No one has swept up or mopped in ages, there's food, hair and god knows what all over. The washers and dryers are clearly never wiped down and have crust around the rim of the doors. I'm scared to let anything fall on the floor. It feels like my clothes are dirtier after washing them. The staff are all very friendly. It's a solid laundromat - pricey since it's in downtown Hoboken, but clean and the perfect distance from my apartment. Very convenient to get to, and good hours. Amazing! Very quick and easy service to use. Great communication for when they arrived and were dropping off the laundry. We left them two bags of colors and a bag with sheets and a comforter to wash and dry. They brought it all back folded impeccably and very soft and clean. Not bad prices either! I used to pay $30 to wash my comforter every few weeks and it was only $15 so that's big savings. We have cats so our stuff gets dirty pretty quickly but this service was a godsend. 100% will be using again. =D read more

It's really gone downhill. I've used them for wash, dry, and fold for years and years. Unfortunately since COVID disruptions, "same day" service has stopped....but now even 2-day service has been sketchy. At first, I figured it was a temporary disruption -- but it shows no signs of getting better...and there's no sense of recognition that service isn't timely. Some (not all) of the staff are borderline surly -- and where's the mask? You would think regular customers would have the sense that repeat business was valued -- but I don't. Gotta say the staff is not very friendly. But it's the cleaniest I've found in hoboken, although the staff is not friendly they are helpful if you need them. The prices are on par with hoboken and competitive. If you do wash and fold they are very fast and do a relatively good job. I've never had a problem with it. The machines are much newer then the other hoboken places I've gone (willow laundry, garden, Jackson st) gets the job done. If you are going to write a bad review about a place that charges only 1$ a pound for laundry maybe you should look somewhere else and pay a bit more because the quality is pretty damn good read more

I don't have a washer or dryer in my building. So I use Riverside for delivery and it's the most convenient way to do your laundry. I have gone through a couple of services and this is the only reliable one. I chose when they pick up, and drop-off. I get text notifications to confirm, and they are always on time. They are so accommodating when I'm running late, and will even come back at a later time so I get my laundry. I really appreciate this, and this is the best delivery laundry in Hoboken. Never in my life have I had a customer service experience like this. I needed a pair of pants hemmed because I was attending a wedding and a part of the wedding party. I had dropped them off a few days prior to the wedding and was told they would be ready the day before i needed them. Of course i waited until the last minute. I went to pick them up and the owner had told me the pants weren't ready and were backed up because the holiday, but that they would be ready for pick up Friday afternoon, the day of the wedding. I told him it was for a wedding and explained how important it was to me to somehow get them in time. The problem was the pants were at his warehouse in Brooklyn and there was nothing he could do to get them here in time before I left for the wedding in the morning. He was very very sorry and took full responsibility. He went above and beyond to personally drive to brooklyn pick them up and meet me at his shop way after closing at 10pm so I would have them in time. This customer service blew me away. He 100% could have just said theres nothing he could do. Instead he went above and beyond to make sure I had my outfit for such a special day. read more

I originally found Riverside Laundromat on Yelp. Riverside is by far the cleanest coin operated laundromat in Hoboken... although there isn't that much competition in regards to cleanliness (if you live in Boken you can concur). The wash and fold service is always on time and the owner always remembers where to pick it up and where to drop off at my rowhouse (plus 99 cents a pound is a good bargain... I feel bad for whoever handles my stinky socks though). The owner has even gotten a bottle of my family's bootlegged wine. To date I have probably spent over $500 at this business since I have found it on Yelp in April of 2017. I strongly recommend using this place if your building doesn't have a laundry unit in it. Although If your mom still does your laundry I'd have to recommend sticking with that. read more

I used to come here all the time for the wash & fold service and never had an issue. Recently I dropped off my laundry bag per usual and it was about $15. When I went to pick up me laundry they charge me $20 more than what was printed on my receipt. When I asked about the price difference I was told it was because I had a blanket. I explained it was a throw from my bed that I always drop off with my laundry and I have NEVER been charged extra. Nowhere posted or on the website does it explain there is an additional charge for a blanket. They also weighed the bag with the blanket in it but then did not change the weight of the bag and alter the price in that regard. Complete scam and I will no longer be using their services. Be warned that the price you get quoted when you drop off is not what you'll be charged when you go to pick up your things. read more

What a pleasant experience! I had to wash a lot of clothes, bedding, comforters, etc and the efficiency and machines were fantastic. Gone are the days of coins, everything is done with a card that you load money onto. There are multiple different size washers and each one is quick. Not only were the washers brand new, but the place was super clean and well lit. I didn't mind spending time there while waiting for my laundry to finish. Plus they also have free Wi-Fi. I'm not one to leave my clothes in the washer and leave, but I would have felt comfortable leaving them. The gentleman who owns it is super nice as well as a female employee that was there. If I didn't live as far as I do from Riverside Laundromat & Dry Cleaning I might even try their same day wash-and-fold service - $1 or less per lb! What a steal for Hoboken! read more
