I used to live in the Shipyard pre-COVID and used Shipyard Cleaners for the past few years because they would pick up and drop off at my building. Service was super easy - they would have my credit card on file and would drop off my shirts dry cleaned and charge me accordingly. In the past 2-3 years, I've never had anything go missing, items were delivered on time or expedited, if needed, and shirts were always crisp and clean. I also used Shipyard Cleaners for tailoring of shirts, pants, and suits, and found the tailors to be very patient and knowledgeable. Tailoring is not cheap, but it is done well and on time. Here is where these guys went above and beyond: Once COVID hit, I moved out of the Shipyard to another state. Completely forgetting that I still had TEN shirts with the cleaners. The shirts were originally delivered to the Shipyard, but since I never picked them up, the cleaners took them back. The owner, Ralph, then went through the extra effort to call me. He explained that this was fairly common - people working from home are not using their dress clothes as much and may not realize they may be missing some of them. When I explained that I moved out of state, Ralph offered to mail the shirts to me! Sure enough, a package of neatly folded shirts was at my door within a few days. That is prime customer service, in my opinion, and deserves to be recognized. read more

If I could give this excuse for a business no stars, I would. I don't even know where to begin. For 2 weeks I have been fighting to get my dry cleaning to no avail. It was "dropped off" at my building but never made it to me. I have been in contact with the owner and have been yelled at, given excuses, and offered store credit. I mean I would take the credit if I needed an efficient way to dispose of my clothing, but I already own a trash can. He has been given every opportunity to attempt to work with my building and myself and has made no effort to do so. Awful, awful business, even worse customer service, and overall a terrible experience. Worst cleaner I have ever been too. It has been nothing but problems with them since I have first started going to them. I keep on getting suckered back because it's right next to my apartment. Dry cleaning doesn't shrink your clothing correct? Wrong when it comes down to this place. I have just received back my third expensive shirt from this place and once again it was shrunk.
