I have always been part of the Riverside Medical Group, and I am very happy with the service provided through all these years. Perhaps some offices are better than others under the network but the office in Clifton Ave, Clifton, NJ. stands apart from the others when it comes to service. One of the most important points to make is to exalt the great welcoming to the facility by Isis Peralta after the registration process, always smiling, kind and treating you with respect. I really appreciate all the efforts that Isis makes to help me with my problem on gathering the information about my visit, I was pleasantly surprised but thankful to know that they are people who still care about how I feel and the reason for my visit. The doctors are good even though you can't always see the same doctor (that really bothers me) but the next doctor I saw had good skills and it seems well prepared and knowledgeable about medicine so that make up for it. I love giving reviews but not for everyone. Ally is a young woman who works for Riverside Medical Group in Secaucus, Nj. She is one of the most important people there at that office you would want to engage with. Her engagement skills, communication skills, and patient skills are beyond excellent. Granted, this office can be bustling, and at times some employees are very short with you regarding communication and patience. I have been a patient with Riverside Medical Group and experienced many personalities and unprofessional behaviors from their front desk staff. Riverside Med Group's front desk staff, for the most part, should be acquired significant training on how to engage, none verbal cues, patience, respect, cultural competence, and knowing that the issues are never about them but rather the patience, so they always have to remain objective and unbiased when dealing with the day to day patients. In saying that, I have had the opportunity to have my shared experience, knowledge, and insight to be altered without any effort when encountering a medical/front desk staff member at the Adults medicine in Secaucus "Ally Knight," not sure of her last. Still, she is always there during the day. What can I say about this individual? She is patient, compassionate, insightful, well versed in the line of work, super professional, and knowledgeable. I have watched her interaction with medical staff, and doctors joined and shared dialog allowing the process between her and the doctors to be easy. If I say, she could be increasingly qualified for a higher role of responsibility for the office. I believed her level of professionalism and highest rapport with building with her patients would provide another level of insight into what the practice stands for. Last but not least, I have to say that I will always be Dr. Kyle's patient; however, since he has been at the office one day out of the week does create a level of inconvenience to my daily schedule. Please don't mistake this; I have no issues with my primary doctor Kyle. I say to say; that I have been introduced to another doctor at the practice Dr. Faiza Quershi not sure if I am spelling it correctly, so forever me ‍ As a patient, I hate seeing other doctors besides Dr. Kyle. Still, Dr. Faiza Quershi demonstrated a level of Humanness; I was impressed with her level of insight into what she was talking about without needing the internet and still allowing her patients to feel the knowledge and comfortability in asking questions and sharing concerns. When I thought I would never experience another like Dr. Kyle, I was wrong. I can go on and on about her, but the thing is, don't be afraid or uneasy to try her if Dr. Kyle is not there. Dr. Faiza's ability to handle stressful situations and get patients to relax was demonstrated clearly. As per the office conditions, I would say that I have been disappointed, and they could do better for the bathrooms and patients' rooms. read more

This is the late-night office for the Riverside Group (staffed much lighter at night, so the wait-list is much longer...). Dr. Baker (caught up with once) was fantastic, and normal appointments go by quickly in the mid-day over the weekdays. The weekend slowness is really the only concern - it's nice to have an in-network pediatrician and in-network medical group that has all the records (although billing is done individually after since they aren't that coordinated yet). The downside of long long wait times on Sunday afternoons or late nights is a challenge, though, when you have a sick youngling. Still cheaper than the hospital, of course, which is why they're busy. And there is parking downstairs. read more

We are first time parents and were THRILLED to find that Riverside Medical Group offered FREE classes to the community. We took both the breastfeeding class and the prenatal class, and 100% recommend them to any first time parents. The prenatal class was 3 hours long and they provided sandwiches and water, as well as a really helpful book summarizing everything we discussed. Erica, the instructor, was awesome. Really candid and engaged both the mom and dads to be in the conversation. She offered an unbiased perspective of a natural birth and with an epidural. If you have a scheduled c-section, the course was less relevant, but still helpful to be with other nervous parents. Dr. Baker also took time out to answer all our questions, including the inane (like mine) about wipes and mattresses. No question was too silly. I'm obviously now sold about using a pediatrician at Riverside, and why wouldn't I want to stay with an office that helps to educate the community. read more

Wow, I'm so upset with this practice right now. My son just left from a sick visit and they told my husband they HAD to give him medicine because he had a temperature of 101.5. I usually take my son to Drs appointments so my husband was very uncomfortable and didn't know what to do. He told them he'd rather give medicine at bedtime later, if he needed.... but they didn't give him the option and he thought it was mandated somehow. When I called, the nurse I spoke to told a completely different 'story' and they said it was only suggested. Not true. We are so pissed. Why would we give our son Motrin with dye in it when we it's got things in it that are harmful? We purposefully use Motrin (dye free) only when needed and my sons fever dropped from 103.5, so they compromised his own immune systems ability to fight the virus itself. Nice work Riverside! Be careful going here! The rating from this facility used to be mostly low scoring reviews.... seems weird that it changed so much and now has a higher rating so quickly. Make sure you know you have a choice, no matter what they say. And don't let them lie to you! read more

STAY AWAY away from these people. This is the last place you want to go. here all they want to bill your insurance & collect co-pay for the service which you didn't request. if you have your blood work done, they will not handover the report without you making an appointment for the office visit. They scheduled zoom call and never told us that we will be talking to nurse practitioner. The nurse practitioner never introduced herself and just read from google. even for the B12 shot they billed to the insurance for the office visit. This place has no ethics. read more

I am a patient at Riverside Medical Group and have been for a while. I was recently referred to see a specialist and was advised to contact their Referral Department. I did and the lady I spoke with Maria Acevedo, who she identified herself as the Associate Director of Referrals. She was extremely helpful, she reviewed my insurance and even went as far as getting me an appointment with the specialist in 2 days and it's a provider in my insurance network. She has been extremely helpful and is an asset to this doctors office. read more

I literally cannot be more thankful that Riverside office is literally footsteps from our house. When I was pregnant, I found out about this because of the free prenatal & breastfeeding class. After I took the class I was 100% on board this would be my daughter's pediatrician office. Dr. Baker & Dr. Doss have got to be two of the best doctors out there. Dr. Baker is full of knowledge & all sorts of great advices. We still see Dr. Doss from time to time, but due to her office hours, we now only see Dr. Baker. She was an amazing doctor when we had her - so full of energy, knowledgeable, and very caring. Dr. Baker is a no-nonsense type of doctor, which is exactly what my husband and I were looking for when we were researching pediatricians. I love that he is straight to the point but still cares about his patients thru education. He knows a lot which really puts us at ease with a lot of concerns, especially since we are first time parents. The staffing at the office are ALWAYS so nice and extremely helpful, especially James who have gone above and beyond to help get me an appointment when there was a little mix up in scheduling. One thing about it though is that the office does tend to get very crowded so wait times can be pretty long, but it's really what you'd expect with an office full of children, but try scheduling your appointments very early in the day (if you can). You'll be out of there within an hour! A few things I LOVE about Riverside is the 24/7 Care Center where you can literally email them about anything & everything (I once emailed them about my daughter's bowel movements! Yes, crazy but true!) they are really that amazing! They are open late, until midnight! Dr. Baker & the entire family all in one building! I go to adult medicine on the 2nd floor! And it's extremely convenient for me to get there, anytime, any day. You really can't go wrong with Riverside - they really care about their patients and at times I do see they get overwhelmed with it being so busy but I truly believe they do the best they can instead of other place that only want to take your money. All in all, choose Riverside! You won't be disappointed! Most doctors office are the same, and you really can't escape the long wait times anywhere, but Riverside truly does go above and beyond in terms of patient care, and that's what I needed the most for my daughter. read more

This pediatrician's office is everything you would want for the care of your child. I brought my son in after making an appt the same morning. Waiting times are usually only 5 mins and the doctor's take the time to listen to our story and examine him. They patient and also explain why they are prescribing what they are prescribing and always educate me on the medical illness. My husband and I are 8 months pregnant. We took this class last weekend and I have to say it was so amazing and informative I couldn't believe it was free. My instructor was a prenatal nurse of 25 years and offered a lot of information based on the curriculum and experience. We received a workbook that we could take home and review. We also watched a video. We practiced breathing techniques and other methods of relaxation. We also were able to speak with and ask questions with pediatrician Dr. Baker. They also offer a free breastfeeding class I plan on taking. The more you know the better prepared you'll be! read more

I want to start off by saying that Riverside was very good to us during the pandemic with covid testing. Even before the pandemic this place was amazing. My son has been coming here for years. We loved coming here and always spoke highly about them. With that said, I've been to this office many times and never had any issues until the last couple of visits. The wait times are unacceptable for the amount of people here. Today there were only three of us in the waiting area and my son was second on the list. I've been here since 11am and it is now 1:20pm. We still havent seen the doctor and it doesn't seem like we will anytime soon. We are waiting in a closed room, it's freezing. Noone is updating us on the wait. My son is now hungry, thirsty and getting frustrated. This service seems to be pretty consistent now. I'm very disappointed with the shift of service here and I'm definitely changing pediatricians after today. read more

While pregnant, I attended both the Birthing Class and the Breastfeeding class at Riverside Medical. Both classes were extremely informative and helpful. The instructors were very nice, covered a lot of information, and answered lots of questions in a comfortable environment. They also provided several well-designed handouts in classes that were great to reference later. The class is free and they give you food! What more could you ask for? Dr Baker is AMAZING! I'm a first time mom with a now 3 month old baby. He is kind, thorough, knowledgeable and patient with my silly questions. The office is clean and the staff is always really nice! Cynthia - the office manager - is very professional and always available to help you out in anyway she can. Some of the reasons we ended up choosing this practice (after interviewing 3-4 doctors during my pregnancy): 1) Separate waiting rooms - They have one for newborns, one for sick older kids, and one for well older kids. That way you know your baby won't get sick when coming for a well visit! 2) A 24/7 e-mail for all your questions. 3) The office is open 7 days a week, from 7am til midnight. 4) If your kid is sick, they will see you! They are legitimately worried about their patients health, so they will go out of their way to help you. 5) They are not greedy. - Dr Baker has a lot of patients. I notice that the waiting room is always full! But that's because he is worried about the community and the health of children in general. They even have FREE breastfeeding and prenatal classes for the community! You don't have to be a patient. In a country where health is a business, it is nice to find someone like Dr Baker! The world needs more doctors like him. read more

I have had nothing but positive experiences with Riverside medical. I have had several doctors and PA's and highly recommend them. I especially have to give my gratitude to Faiza Qureshi, and Kyle Viola. These 2 have been my go to for for a long time now and I have never ever had 2 loving, caring, understanding, and knowledgeable people, care so much about their patients, and make sure they are well taken care of . I don't think i would be sitting here writing this if it was not for them. They also make sure their staff is there to help when you need it and always, always go above and beyond. Office Staff that I particularly encountered who are so supportive and amazing are Stephanie, Maria (office manager) , Melanie, Yasmine and I can go on. Words cannot express the how thankful I am to have them all in m y life. They are not your typical doctors office, they are like family. They educate you and get to the bottom of things, Very approachable fast and efficient. And they will not hesitate to drop what they are doing to help someone. It's 4hr class that covered a broad topic to prepare parents for what's to come. The instructor I had was very experienced and the book they gave out was a big help after the class. Very disappointed! We went for a vaccine, just that, a two minutes visit that turned into 50 minutes waiting! We had an appointment at 6:15pm, got there at 6:00. Waited until 6:45 and went to complaint to the front receptionist, Brianna was very rude, they took my daughter to a tiny room to administer the vaccine. It took 2 minutes to go through the paperwork, check temperature and give her the vaccine. Also, the nurse almost gave her the wrong vaccine! I saw people without an appointment going first so if you just need an emergency visit this place should be ok. read more

We took a free birthing class this past weekend and as first time parents found it to be extremely helpful and excellent. I was wary about the quality since it was a free course, but it is top quality. Not only is the class free, but they provide food and refreshments and a bag with some useful literature and coupons. I was blown away by the quality of this class, and will be signing up for the breast feeding class too. I was considering Riverside to be my pediatrician and was on the fence, but glad I was able to meet Dr.Baker (his brother and him own the practice). He has a very direct and blatant personality which may be a bit shocking at first to some (he cusses a lot when he talks or tells stories, but he doesn't do so in front of the kids), and he is very knowledgeable. Went there with my husband for prenatal class of 3 hours and trust me it covered almost 80% of things and the nurse with over 15 years of exp and Dr. baker who is pedestrian were really good. This medical office is easily accessible and the staff are very professional.

My children have been patience at riverside (Secaucus) for about 16 years now. The staff is great and DR's have wonderful bedside Manners. One particular head nurse stood out though, her name is Susie. She had us go right into an examining room, because my youngest was getting a bit antsy in the waiting room. Susie kept him entertained by asking him about his hobbies etc. She was very polite and welcoming! I would definitely recommend the classes at Riverside. I'm a first time mom. I had basic knowledge of what to expect but i learned some new tips and tricks. My baby came 4 wks early and i had a difficult time breast feeding. I emailed Alison the director,in a panic, and she immediately offered to meet with me. She sat with me through a feeding and helped me with latching and positioning. She also helped me adjust my car seat which was way off. About a week later i texted her after hours due to my babies nonstop crying. We went over possibilities and offered resolutions. Not only did she help sooth my little girl but she really helped me too. Being a new mom isn't easy and although i had some childcare experience nothing could prepare me for this. I am so grateful to Alison for getting me through this scary and nerve wrecking experience. Other then these hiccups i love being a mom.
