From checking in and going into the Forrest like rooms (all rooms are decorated differently so every visit is in a different room). The nurse (Emma) was very helpful from checking myself in and taking my son's vitals. She made my son feel safe and had very kind words. I just moved out here from Los Angeles I was still driving to take my kids to their provider while I was out here in the IE because my kids had a good provider, I don't know any of the doctors out here so I had the insurance choose and I got Mission pediatrics now let me start off by saying horrible service and customer care I can never get a hold of anyone in the office it always says their little helpers are busy it says to leave a message and I never get a call back from anyone. There are a lot of things I don't like about this office... first, they don't do thorough evaluations of early childhood development and don't seem to be screening for developmental delays or ADHD or autism. At our previous pediatrician, the Drs asked extensive questions to ensure my children were on track, and were ready to recommend early interventions if needed. At mission Pediatrics, I had to prompt the Drs to talk about developmental milestones during my visits, most recently, for my sons 6 month appointment, my Dr was getting ready to dismiss us without even mentioning the introduction to solid foods, and didn't really inquire about what my son was doing physically or socially. Just like "oh he's gaining weight, good job, see you next time" I have 3 kids so I have a general knowledge of where my kids should be at, but I'd like to know that their Dr is keeping track as well, and is promoting questions about their behavior in case I'm missing something. Like why aren't the Drs talking about my kids next stage of development and offering me ways in which to promote movement and speech, etc? Second, the office staff doesn't make an effort to schedule my kids with the same pediatrician- and they often don't even know who I was scheduled with on my previous appointments, meaning I am not able to build a relationship or a rapport with the Dr- which is frustrating. I had to call the office because the Dr had forgotten to call in my sons medication to the pharmacy and they asked me who I saw and since I have seen a new dr every time, I didn't know. They also didn't know. How? Why? I had to describe what he looked like, but apparently the description matched another Dr in the office and he called me very confused. And lastly, but most irritating about this practice, is that they require an "intake" form for every child on every visit. This intake form is extensive and time consuming, especially when I am taking my THREE young children to the dr very often. Why do they need to know my contact information, home address, medical history, insurance information, emergency contact info AND MUCH MORE, for every single visit for every single child? Like it's ridiculous and its completely unnecessary. I'm happy to fill out this information as a new patient but the excessive forms make me feel like they don't value or respect my time or energy, since this information is easily stored in a computer database. When I brought this up to the office manager, she agreed but apparently they're not working on changing anything. The Drs are nice, and I've enjoyed the whimsical, nature themed office but I'm just so tired of filling out repetitive forms like it's my job. read more

My children have been seen here for 7 years now and while in the past there have been referral issues, I stayed because of great doctors like Dr. Agas. However, I have decided to go elsewhere because the service and attention is no longer the same. Appointment scheduling is horrendous. Whenever I call it goes to voicemail and it is rare that anyone ever gets back to me within 24 hrs. The front office staff is usually not friendly and you feel like a nuisance to them. The last straw for me was one of the nurses almost gave my child a round of vaccinations that he had already received in the past. She was adamant that he was missing that round of vaccinations and if it wasn't that I spoke up and asked her to double check, she would have given it to him. When my kids have been seen by some of the other practitioners here, they do not take their time, are rushing through the appointment, and I am usually having to pay out of pocket to get second opinions on the quick diagnosis that many of them have given my kids. It's just not worth it anymore and I'm tired of waiting for them to get their act together. It's sad that this place is nothing like what it used to be. Go elsewhere. read more

It seems like entertainment and costumer experience are their first priority. Maybe more than anything else. Riverside staff is not friendly, both offices are somewhat - - scary. They want to give your kids some kind of experience, but to my kids (and me) it just brought fear, my daughter was terrified. In their offices you find lightening, forest sound effects (Riverside), a skull dressed in a tuxedo, digital fireplace with sound and potions (Redlands); it's like you're in a Harry Potter film set. Dr. Watson dresses in Renaissance costume. Some may find this amusing, I find it weird and eccentric. One time I went, the nurse who took my baby's vitals was smelling cigarette. The same nurse later on gave my baby an oral vaccine WHILE HE WAS ASLEEP and he chocked. Became blue, and all. Everyone got worried, Dr. Watson called me personally to apologize and follow up. I gave it two stars only because Dr. Watson is very worried about customer appreciation of his practice (you'll notice the effort in the offices' decor and how he responds to a lot of the reviews posted here); and when my son was circumcised he did take the time to sit and talk to me. That went okay, in despite of him not wearing a mask during the procedure and didn't stop talking to me or the nurse while on top of - what it was supposed to be - a sterile camp (I'm a nurse). I could actually see his spit falling over it, and just hoped for the best. I don't usually write reviews like this, I tend to be positive about everything, but when it comes to your kid's life and health you cannot forget your priorities and be more worried about the business and it being entertaining than having safe procedures. Dr. Watson is nice but the office staff seems highly disorganized. I left paperwork on February 19. I was told it would be ready on Feb 21 and that I would receive a call to pick up. On Feb 24, I called and the form was not ready. I called on the 26th and same story. We had an appointment on Feb 28 and - no paperwork still. Daniela told us it would be ready on March 2. I've been sitting here for 50 minutes - they cannot find the papers. (sigh) Update: We get home only to discover - the paper I asked them to fill out is incomplete. So now, I have to go BACK there on Thursday to request that they complete it. This has been such a painful experience. I truly hope they use this situation to get better. read more

Dr. Mustafa-Infante is phenomenal ! I have been with Dr. Mustafa for over three years now and I can't thank her enough. She goes above and beyond for my daughter who has a chronic condition. No one had answers as to what my daughters diagnosis was until Dr Mustafa strived to find them. She sent me from one hospital to the next. This Doctor sent me to the right specialist and thanks to her my daughter now is living past her age expected. Trusting in her was the best thing I ever did. Literally the worst experience with a doctors office ever. This has gone on for a year. We moved here from Washington and had to chose a civilian Dr... my son is autistic and has ADHD and anxiety. Getting prescriptions refilled every month is exhausting, they don't return phone calls, they don't refill prescriptions when you call (you have to call back to make sure they called it in and this ignoring you can last days), they don't listen when you tell them your pharmacy has to order the medication, which takes 2-3 days, the office staff is rude and negligent, forgetting to give doctors messages, including prescription refill requests. The entire staff is incompetent, which is completely unacceptable as they are treating children... read more

This is the place to take your kids. Dr. Watson and his staff are great. They take time with your kids and they make you feel like family. Yes they are very busy and you do have to wait. But the wait is well worth it. The Attention and care your kids receive is priceless. We have shared feelings about this place. Office staff is rude, they don't smile and whenever a question is asked to them, they answer as if you were bothering them. Unwell side/ well side is confusing. Nobody wants to find out they've been waiting for an hour for a check up appointment seating on the unwell side sorrounded by sick kids! We don't like we have to walk around with an undressed baby to the only scale they seem to have (I wonder, are scales so expensive that they cannot provide each room with one so the only option is in the middle of a corridor? Besides, how much space requires a baby scale?). Practitioner assistants we met so far were kind and lovely. Waiting time after vitals check up is more than 45', not the best thing withan undressed baby. So far we have met Dr Watson and Dr Mustafa Infante a couple of times each for control check ups. Dr Watson is helpful, sweet and listens, he actually makes you feel your child matters, and your words matter too, he has great bed side manners, he doesn't over explains things, he actually tries to get to know the parents in order to know how to talk to them. He is always in a good mood and with a big smile on his face. Our baby likes him. He doesn't remember us so we have to hear his stories about diarrhoeas every time. Dr Mustafa Infante on the other hand...does not listen, she talks and does everything in a rush. The two times we saw her, we didn't have the chance to ask specifically what we wanted to know since she would talk overexplaining things any educated person already knows and she wouldn't give us space to ask her what we considered important. We returned home having an uncomfortable feeling of a pointless appointment. She storms in the room, her bedside manners are horrible, she is very loud she is bossy and talks too much. She is uneducated about non circumcised infants, so beware she will manipulate your kids penis and advice a circumcision. We had to go twice through this with her . Considering a NO DIAPER OFF policy with her would be a good idea. Our baby only cried the whole time she was in the room. I would recommend this practice if you know your child will be seen only by Dr Watson, unfortunately the other doctors seem to be more available than him. Perhaps if he reads the reviews Dr Watson might ask his office staff to do better, kinder and more polite when checking in patients, he will buy a couple of baby scales. Perhaps Dr Mustafa Infante will take the criticism and get better at her job, learning to listen patiently, learning on how to make the parents of her little patients,pmore comfortable and last but not least she will follow the American Association of Pediatricians guidelines on how to handle unaltered male anatomy. We have already changed health provider, we are never coming back to this place. read more

Our doctor has helped my step son by offering to always be available for us. We have always gotten an appointment when needed and they are located in an convenient place for our family. They are kind of hard to find if you don't know the area and you find the parking lot in the back. You have to go inside a building first and they are on the right hand side. They is a good play space for kids and even has a puppet show they can watch. Dr. Watson is very personable and has giving good advice.
