First of all I am a woman of a certain age. Fifty is knocking on my door. I broke my arm last August and Loma Linda did a lot of tests on me. After that the Riverside Family Physicians have taken care of me. I had no idea what bad shape my body was and still is, and they are helping me navigate through it all. And there is a lot, I mean a lot of doctors appointments to keep track of. All of the staff from the Call the Car to the phone center, receptionist, nurses, doctors, interns are so good at what they do. Not only that, they have good bedside manners. They are always ready to help and very knowledgeable. I am so surprised at how nobody loses their cool. My team (there are many) that I deal with weekly are awesome. I look forward to my visits. I have referred some people to RFP. Thus location us nice but there is also a location at 4310 Orange that might be closer. I'm not sure they offer all the services there though. My husband's experience has been positive with several different doctors - Dr. Tarek Mahdi, Dr. Ben Mahdi and Dr. Shirwan. He especially appreciates the nurses who work in the anticoagulation department. My primary care has been with nurse practitioner, Cielito Capistrano - who I admire and respect. All healthcare providers are extremely knowledgeable, thorough, communicate clearly, and provide follow-up care as needed. It is evident they care about their patients. It's hard to be a great medical office in a country where the whole medical system is a hot mess, but Riverside Family Physicians is a diamond in the rough. The staff is friendly and helpful, the Providers are knowledgeable, and the overall culture feels very inclusive and caring. Horrible Nurse Practitioner. I was talked over the whole time. Nothing was taken into consideration. I told her I needed to continue my old medication because I hadn't had insurance for a year and it's been a rough year. Gave me medicine I told her I already tried and didn't work yet refused to give me my normal preventative treatment that I got from my other dr. Now I get to suffer longer. She rushed me through everything and I've been calling for over a week with people sending her messages to get back to me and not a peep. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE ITS AWFUL HERE! read more

I've been with Riverside family physicians for a very very long time. I am currently enrolled in their ECM program and I don't know where I would be without them. I recently had a misunderstanding with my medical insurance company and they disenrolled me in the ECM program inadvertently. Not only did my ECM manager call me and advise me that I was just disenrolled from the ECM program by my insurance company but they were advised that I made that request. I DID NOT. Upon explaining to them that I did not make that request they advised me that they were still going to provide the ECM service to me unless and until the problem was rectified, although they would not be compensated for providing the service while I was disenrolled. I highly recommend all of my family and my friends that are seeking the top-notch quality primary care physician's office check in on Riverside family physicians they have two locations centrally located for the inland empire they have many doctors with many different specialties. The RNs have conducted. home visits for myself and my family, they've scheduled home blood draws and provided me with the utmost care, kindness, empathy, and compassion. Let me be honest I'm not the easiest patient in the world. I also want to give an individual shout out to, SHARON, KAITLYN, Ms, GLORIA, CIELITO CAPISTRANO, AND DR. Honestly, Dr. Mai is the WORST physician I've ever had. I thought I would get at least good care because she's an osteopathic physician. I couldn't have been more wrong. I was in a car accident in June of 2024, and the first doctor I went to at Altais was absolutely horrible and recommended a chiropractor only, no physical therapy. I switched to Riverside Family Physicians and Dr. Mai. It took 2 months to get an appointment, which is par for the course. I told her that I had cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine pain. Not only did she put in 3 different referrals for each part of my back, so I had to get 3 different x-rays, I also had to get 3 different evaluations because the PTs couldn't help me until all X-rays were done. It took months. I have to work! I ended up in so much pain I had to take off of work and I couldn't get disability. I ended up with 2 rotator cuff injuries, hip pain & knee pain because it took so long to get into PT. I went in for my appointment with her and I immediately felt judged and that she thought I was ignorant. I had to tell her that I have a Masters in Biomedical Science just to get her to speak to me with respect. I was in SO much pain (8.5) that I didn't have time to get a new physician. She sent me to the most expensive physical therapist that didn't have any availability after I got off work. She then took 3 months to refer me to an orthopedist that didn't palpate or test for movement at all. He stood on the other side of the room and said, "You just need physical therapy". When I said my shoulders were hurting now, he said I needed a new referral for that. She sent me all the way to Temecula for that! I live in Riverside. I am hyper and all she could say was "Let's take some deep breaths". It was so demeaning. If you're Black, don't even bother. I was so stressed out and in so much pain I started having severe bowl movements every morning. She said, and I quote, "What do you have to worry about?!" What kind of doctor says something like that to someone they know nothing about and didn't even ask. She diagnosed me with Stress Induced IBS. Great. But then I told her I wasn't feeling well and she literally told me I was fine because my blood work was normal. I tried to make a complaint to the practice itself, and they did absolutely nothing. I can't tell you enough, pay attention to their 3 star rating! They are TERRIBLE care and deserve a lower rating than they have. DON'T GO HERE. THERE ARE SO MANY BETTER OPTIONS!!!!! So many other things happened that were just awful but I'm done with this and will spend no more time dwelling on this. Riverside Family Physicians, don't even bother replying to this rating. What you put out, is what you receive. Have the day and business prosperity you deserve. read more

I've been waiting for an appointment for a YEAR. I called last year and they said it was a 6-9 month waiting period so I called again around 6 months and they said nothing had changed. I changed jobs and insurance recently and since my new benefits just went into effect I decided to give them a call to see if they'd be available to see me now since it's been a year... Nope. Same thing. I was told it was a 6-9 month waiting period and I told the first person who answered that i've been waiting for a year. She put me on a hold and then transferred me to their scheduling department and she told me the exact same thing. They said it's 6-9 months because of some contracts with PPO insurances.. Transferring my call was pointless because the second person provided absolutely no help!! I wouldn't have waited so long if I knew this place was that terrible and unhelpful. It's unfortunate because I was really looking forward to seeing one of their providers. read more

Nurse Practitioner Capistrano is very sweet and a great asset to this establishment. However, there is absolutely no communication and I'm left to wonder once again with a possible torn tendon in my foot for over a month just patiently waiting on an MRI report! Last time it took the X-rays then weeks later finally MRI and the results trickled in a week later to find what was a stress fracture turned to a full break and 14 months including a bone stimulator through a specialty practice. Here I'm waiting again and treating my own injury and feeling like I'm bothering them to get to the next step. I'm over it and will be getting a new Dr. along with reporting to the insurance. read more

For me I'm not big going to the Doctor because of a BAD experience I had with a urgent Care I almost lost my thumb.I found Doctor Madi office though a family member. Let's be honest about 80% of Doctors in Riverside don't care about their patients. I could be wrong but this is my honest opinion. With Riverside Family Physicians you can get a same day appointment but you have to start calling at 8:30 if you want to talk or see your doctor and they are not there they asks if you would like talk to a different doctor. And they do everything they can to get you appointment I love there tela health when you can audio or video with your doctor also when the doctor sends a prescription to your pharmacy you will get a text saying it was sent. I was referred to this group of physicians by an employee from Radnet Imaging Riverside. And I'm so lucky she did that for me. The team here at Riverside Family Physicians Medical Group are by far the kindest, most professional and experienced and trustworthy doctors I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. They are what doctors should be. Since I've moved to the inland area I've been needing an intelligent doctor. And I finally found them. This office also has a Palliative program which helps me, since my breast cancer diagnosis. They can send a nurse or medical assistant to visit patients at home. I can also reach them by texting or sending a message - and someone always answers. It doesn't take long for a response to reach a doctor or nurse. This doctors group has 2 offices and many different doctors. I've even been able to have a virtual appointment, which is even better. That's on my home computer. Everyone already knows how compassionate and thorough all the employees are here. read more

I could never leave my whole experience with doctors in one review over the last 8 years but this portion I have to leave. I've seen almost every doctor in this office and I don't recommend any of them. They were great when I didn't have issues but since having issues it's a complete nightmare. Most recently I saw DR Sherwin and was needing a referral that the insurance specifically told me to tell him what I needed. He said he couldn't submit for it and kept insisting he was going to send me to a new pain management. He submitted the wrong referral for the thing I needed and no pain management after it was his idea and insisted they were good! Then I call to have him submit it because I would like to try a new one while I'm figuring out how to get into a medical detox and he refused! How are you going to now refuse something you suggested! He made sure to emphasize had I gone to psychiatry. I don't need psychiatry! I need a medical detox which psychiatry won't do or a pain doctor that will switch me to a med that doesn't make me incredibly sick and wean me off, which my current pain management does not do! Not much has changed since the 1950's. I have mostly been treated like I'm just a crazy person. I wish so much I had a husband to speak for me because I honestly think it's the only way I'll be taken seriously. I'm being treated like I'm hysterical and not a chronic pain patient. No way this lady is actually in pain and not being taken care of by doctors and instead forced to live on a medication that's causing her to be extremely sick which would sure be stressful, nope she's just crazy. It's disgusting to be treated this way. If he had any idea the amount of suffering I live in every day and how hard I've been trying to get help and get someone to listen to me, I would hope he would actually care, but I honestly don't think any of them care. It's an incredibly sad state our "healthcare" system is in. I'm probably going to die before can find someone to help me. The medicine I'm on has caused severe liver pain for over a year and when I try to stop taking it, the level of pain I'm in is actually torture. Literally, no one cares, it's really crazy. read more

Stay away! Went in for first appt, explained I have symptoms of a condition two of my siblings have. Dr didn't even do the simple test to check, just cut me off while I was explaining and said "you don't have that". I don't think he even knows what I was talking about. Then did some blood tests, and over two weeks later I'm still waiting for the results. In my previous health system, basic results often come back the same day! No response to messages left in the online health app, and when I called I got the answering service in the middle of the afternoon, who promised a callback that still hasn't happened. I will not be going back. I'll also contact my insurance and file a complaint because these people should not be collecting payment for cutting me off and taking forever to deliver test results. It's been 2+ weeks, who knows when they'll actually give them to me. read more
