Friendly service. Good value. Sportsman friendly. Older place but it was clean and warm.

We loved our visit to Orofino. Our suite in this amazing old/historic building was CLEAN,…read moretastefully decorated, very comfortable, with all the cooking equipment we'd need, a FULL SIZE fridge, and all the regular amenities for the bath as well. I Didn't try the cooktop but I feel assured it works fine as everything we did use was in great working order.) NEW flooring was lovely and we will forever be in love with that cool lil elevator. ALSO - did I mention those views? WOW! is only a good place to start. Being right downtown was fantastic! The nearby restaurants did a great job of keeping us fed when I didn't want to cook. ;) Can't wait for next time!

Filthy room. Toilet had brown on back of seat and under seat. The cabinet next to the toilet was…read moresplattered with I don't even want to know, and had boogers all over it. The bathroom floor behind the toilet had dark chunks. There was thick yellow at bottom of toilet. The sink had pink mildew and mold around the drain, as did the kitchen sink. The kitchen is a bit of a joke. Don't plan to cook! No utensils or silverware and one plate that was chipped. The silverware draw was disgusting and had bugs in it. The fridge had food on the handle, as did the walls. The carpet is super stained and smells like dog. I like dogs but the stench was pretty overwhelming. The bed skirt and decorative pillow were filthy. We tried to tell the front desk but first she wasn't there then she was on the phone very loudly chewing someone out, and then she was gone. On top of everything else, the people next to us never went to bed and were extremely loud all night. There isn't anyone at the front desk so we didn't know what to do about it. We rented a room to sleep. We didn't get that luxury. So we had to clean our room, and didn't get any sleep and we paid them---something seems pretty messed up in there! Go elsewhere. If you are the health department, however, you may want to check it out.

What a sweet little gem ticked away here in Orofino! We stayed there two days due to massive 6 day…read morepower outage in our community nearby. This place was super clean, comfortable and affordable. They were very accommodating to our situation allowed a slightly earlier check in (we needed hot showers!), a ground floor room due to my broken leg and willingly extended our stay when there was no signs of power restoration at home. We left reluctantly but happy to announce our power came on about an hour after we got home. Highly recommend this motel and will spread the word!

Very decent two story motel one block off of Highway 7 through town. (Behind Wells Fargo and the…read moreCourthouse). This is an older motel, but new owners have acquired it since being here two years ago. Very friendly and courteous staff. Rooms are recently remodeled, and not sure if all of them have been completed. Bed is vey comfortable to which my aching back thoroughly enjoys. All rooms have outside doors and there is no elevator. Place can be very busy with workers such as myself or fisherman, so parking in front of the motel can fill up quickly by 5 PM. There is a parking lot across the street for the Ponderosa restaurant which seems to get used for the motel as well if needed. We've parked our larger trucks over there with no hassle. Park in the row closest to the motel. Rooms for us were roughly $70 a night during this End of July week. So not really a bad deal. There is no Breakfast served here, but there are two local places to eat that I've tried that serve a decent breakfast.
