I noticed later in the evening, when the lobby was packed with new guests checking in, he maintained his pleasant demeanor. Definitely a gem at the front desk! I want to point out that this property does not charge for parking & has no resort fee. Parking did seem to be plentiful as we found a great spot quickly. Also, the free breakfast buffet was better than average. I was excited to see that the pool had finally been refurbished & was allegedly open, but we weren't able to access it at 9:15pm on a Friday night, though signage & Gerald at the front desk said the pool area was open until 10pm. This also meant that beach access was not available at this time from hotel grounds. As it was cold by Florida standards that night, lack of beach & pool access weren't deal-breaking but disappointing nonetheless. Our room offered a decent side-ocean-view from our balcony, and I enjoyed peeping the sunrise on Saturday morning from my bed. I was disappointed to notice that our balcony had no seating, but again, it was chilly so not a big deal. I hope patio chairs are on their reno list. And I also hope they look at replacing some of the in-room furniture. The *cozy corner* sofa has seen better decades, And the dresser below the TV was even more dated. In fact, the top drawer wouldn't stay closed (we weren't using it) and that became a running joke. As did the un-vacuumed carpeting in our room. The ice machine on our floor didn't seem to work, but I also noticed a sign noting it was only in-service certain hours (?!). I went to another floor and found a working ice machine, but was confused by that weird restriction. It was definitely within the specified operating window, but we already knew we couldn't access the pool area during the open times so I guess those are loose timeframes. The bathroom in our room was immaculate and the bedding was fresh (you know I checked the mattresses). We also had plenty of pillows, which I appreciated. Gerald at the front desk was fantastic & he didn't forget my free bottled waters as a Discoverist. That next morning, hubs woke up early as usual & caught sunrise from the sand, so he was thrilled with our stay here just for that & the buffet breakfast (which was good). We'll certainly visit again, and hope they update the room furniture & don't lock up everything too early.

The Neon Sanctuary: Why Timmy T's (AKA Chudkosky's MTV Nightclub) is the Soul of the World's #4…read moreNightlife Capital If the globe has a heartbeat, it's pulsing at 600 North. Daytona Beach didn't just stumble into its ranking as the #4 city for nightlife on the planet--it earned it through the sheer, electric legacy of spots like Timmy T's. This isn't just a nightclub; it's a legendary MTV-era cathedral of sound and light where the "Daytona Dream" was born. But look closer. Beyond the 50,000 watts of bass and the ocean-view VIP decks, there is a new frequency vibrating through the salt air. In a city where the sun never sets on the party, the Daytona Dream Center is proving that the "girls of the nightlife" aren't just part of the scene--they are the scene's greatest untapped potential. The Vibe: Imagine the raw, unfiltered energy of 90s MTV Spring Break fused with a modern, high-glamour sanctuary. Timmy T (the visionary Chudkosky himself) hasn't just preserved a club; he's curated an atmosphere of "Atmospheric Alchemy." It's where the music meets the soul. The Inspiration: For every woman navigating the neon-lit corridors of the world's elite party district, the message is clear: Your lifestyle is a masterpiece in progress. Supported by the heart-centered mission of the Daytona Dream Center, the nights at Timmy T's are no longer just about the dance floor--they're about the rise. This is where the elite converge, not just to lose themselves, but to find a higher version of their own story. In the #4 nightlife city in the world, the brightest lights aren't on the stage; they're the women who turn the nightlife into a lifestyle of power, purpose, and transformation. The Verdict: If you haven't experienced the "transcendent frequency" of Timmy T's, you haven't seen Daytona. Come for the legend, stay for the evolution.

The wedding was beautiful. We had approx 120 guests (seated) using the boathouse and tent (with walls) and there was enough room for everyone and an area for a dance floor (this was actually my biggest concern when booking this venue because it appears to be on the small side). The boathouse has a new beautiful pier/dock and many of my guests were able to watch a pod of dolphins swim around (got some great pics of them) along with a super nice sunset. The only thing I would have done differently is that I would have hired golf cart drivers so that the elderly guests wouldn't have had to walk so far from the ceremony site and parking lot (no biggy, we used a car). Had no issues with neighbors, in fact some of the neighbors sat on the porch to watch the ceremony, which I thought was really cool. The neighborhood does have a curfew of 11pm, so our reception ended at 9:30pm. I was okay with this because I was actually pretty tired by then. A huge plus is that the boathouse is available at 8:00am. So we were able to begin decorating early. I couldn't have been happier with The historic Wilbur Boathouse!

The price of an Airbnb with all the…read morefees attached plus not being able to stay on the beach wasn't an option this time around. I kept looking around for a few days, and then this hotel popped up for a very reasonable price right on the beach with an ocean view that was not far over the bridge. My dad lives south of here so being on the south end of Daytona was ideal for us. There was a small parking fee, but there was always parking and it was easy to come and go. The pool was under construction while we were there being redone which kind of stunk, but we did have the beach. It honestly was so hot we didn't even last long outside. Looking at the other reviews on here, it appears a remodel was done. Our room was clean, but my complaint would be around whatever was sprayed to give a fresh smell. It was just a bit too strong. Other than that, the air worked great and gave a white noise sound helping us to sleep. The ocean balcony was so relaxing and nice. The water pressure in the shower was strong. There was a mini fridge, microwave, and Keurig with several options, and a normal size dryer that was detached opposed to those small ones that smell like they are about to catch fire in 2 seconds. There was also a free breakfast that I found quite impressive. There were options for several different eating habits (healthy, gluten free, and I don't care). They had Egg white omelettes with some small veggies (very good), another egg option (one day scrambled and another was an egg omelette with cheese), several meat options, toasts/bagels/muffins, fresh pancakes, cinnamon rolls, gluten free options, boiled eggs, yogurts, cereal, etc. I was impressed, and it was delicious. People were quite savage for the bacon. The beach access is to the side of the hotel. There are public restrooms available, and a shower to wash off which was conveniently located for us. Walking on the beach was fun in the evening. We got to see an amazing moon that night! I was told by a member of staff you can get $150 ticket for using your phone flashlight on the beach at night because of the sea turtles. I can't remember now if it was because they won't come ashore due to the light or something to do with them hatching and going to the water. Anyway, something to be mindful of. The staff was very nice. Everything was very easy. I would stay here again.

The hotel itself is in serious need of updates--rooms were mediocre and poorly maintained. Housekeeping never came during our stay, and we had to go looking for towels multiple times. Great staff, but the property needs major upgrades and better upkeep.
