I absolutely love this bar, every day is a different food a drink special...the food is amazing. On Mondays they do $6 half slab of ribs, that is a great deal and they are finger licking good. Taco Tuesday is a great special day. And I love that they are usually creative with their soups. All of the bartenders are wonderful and very friendly. In the spring & summer they do monthly events outside and in the fall and winter they have monthly meat raffles. Also every Sunday night they have free bingo. Great place to stop for some pub food. I had a grilled sandwich and onion rings. The chicken had a good grilled taste and the onion rings are fresh battered and marvelous! Hubby had pulled pork and tots, and he really liked it. The Riverside is a neighborhood type pub, not a date place, but it's very down to earth, friendly and welcoming. We will be back! read more

This place has disappointed my wife and I on three separate occasionsnow.Rude bartender/hostess. Seemed to care more about the group she had gathered around the corner by the door than the people walking in . I was told entry was not allowed in 2 of the 3 times due to closing soon. These were both recent evenings on Monday where there were football games on TV, customers sitting at the bar and playing games in back and was roughly 8pm. Not looking to drink but were looking to give local business some support and get a snack, maybe play some slot machines on our way home. I understand circstances where an establishme.t needs to close early for reasons but these tes were early in the evening within open hours and with a full customer base present. The wife and I dropped by the Riverside Pub to grab a few beers and try the crawfish broil. Unfortunately we'd misread the advert for the crawfish, turned out we were a week early. Anyhow, we ordered some fried mushrooms and steak dinners, all of the food was surprisingly good. Mushrooms were big, steaks were cooked perfectly and tasty. While we ate we were entertained by a live band outside. The bartender was incredibly nice and very helpful. It's a clean looking bar, folks seemed nice enough, clientele was a bit older (which was fine with us) and the Fox was looking gorgeous from the deck. All in all, a pleasant night out. Women should stay out because there is no respect for them by this bartender. Food is good but not a women friendly place, it's a mans world there. She will remember your mans name and address him by his name with every sentence, but it took me speaking to the owner after 2 months of going there 3 x a week for her to address me by my name. We've been visiting this pub for over 20 years, it's changed hands and names a couple of times but has remained one of our favorite places. If you like good burgers, Italian beef and chicken wings, this is the place for you. The only downside to the wings is the lack of sauce options. We prefer "extra spicy" so we just use Tabasco, but it would be nice to have a super spicy homemade sauce instead. They're reasonably priced and most of the bartenders are awesome. read more

Terrible service. Went there for taco Tuesday, it was pretty busy so we weren't expecting to have someone at our table right away. The server stopped shortly after we sat down and got our order in and drinks quickly. It's downhill from here and many people had already left. My husband finished his beer and asked for another one but our waitress didn't offer me a refill on my soda. She apparently forgot and after 10 minutes we went to the bar to get our drinks. Waitress spent about 20 more minutes chatting outside with other customers, regulars I presume, and never came back to our table. We finally asked the bartender for our check, paid, and left. Tacos aren't worth going back for thanks to the service. read more

First of all, I've been supporting this place for 11 years, and always have had great service. It's a local place, with most of the customers being friends of mine. This place is always open arms to new customers that want to try pretty good bar food. Portions are very large, and always served in a timely manner. Prices are fair, and comparable to other places near by. 1/2 lbs burgers can feed 2 due to sizable portions Great food specials on certain days, I believe it's Tuesday, or Wednesday the large burgers are 4 Dollars each. Riverside Pub really need to get bartenders without such a snobby and crappy attitude. I don't know what it is, but every time I am there I have felt totally unwelcome. Let's start with the female bartender today on Dec 6 just now. Greets me with a blank stare. When I am done with my food doesn't ask me how everything was, never once asked if I wanted another drink. I suppose she was too busy hanging with her pal at the gaming machine. Another bartender in the past there used to be the same way, they must be sisters. Just all snobby attitude and very unfriendly. Gives me my bill, never a thank you, as I am walking out doesn't say a thing, just glad to see me go I suppose. The entire attitude from her, and other times there also from her and the other one, was as if to say, "Why are you here? Can't you see I am busy with the 3 people here besides you?" I gave your place chance after chance, even after this sort of unfriendly and unwelcome treatment, and told many about your great food deals, but no more. I am through. Let me know when you hire bartenders who make me feel welcome and who are hospitable and I might consider coming back. read more

I've gone 3 times and tried to support the new owners, but I think I'm done. It's usually pretty quiet in there and the food is ok, but the service is really inconsistent. The women bartenders who also come to the tables to take orders have been very good, but the dude that worked the bar was awful. Also, it shouldn't take an hour for a burger. I had stopped in at Riverside Pub on Saturday for breakfast the other week. The Service was top shelve. The Bartender\Waitress was Mel who continuously impressed me with her fast and friendly service. There was this older waitress with brown hair who I think might be the owner, who never says Hi or smiles. I will continue to go to Riverside Pub with family and recommend to my friends as long as Mel is there. She deserves a raise and always gives me and my family the best service and is very friendly. When I was there the place was packed and she managed to take care of my group and everyone else even at the bar. I have never experienced this level of service at a sports bar in my life. I would normally give 4-5 stars to this place for food and environment. However, this has become personal. I am a long time customer of Riverside. Been going there and to JoeyB's for over twenty years. I know the family. Always loved the environment the food and the people. However, the last several times I've been there,I have been completely pushed to my limit. I am not one to ruffle feathers but after several weeks of watching this occur... I'm speaking out! You have a little girl running the bar there that goes by Stephanie. That young one is blatantly rude. She clearly has her favorites and shines upon them. However, if she doesn't like someone it is clear. I've watched folks time and time again trying to get a drink or put in an order for food that she is not interested in serving. These are normal folks not folks that need to be cut off or asked to leave. Just folks she obviously doesn't care if they are there or not. Now, I'm a business person... customers are your paycheck people! If someone asks for a drink... you don't tell them your going to have a cigarette first! Come on! This is clearly an attitude issue that somebody might want to address! The food is good, Bev is a doll and most all others are wonderful! I have only been in her twice the first time it was OK the bartender was friendly and made a good bloody the food was good so i decided to come back, this last time i came in there's the same guy who keeps getting feed drinks and is hammered to the point he is hitting on me. Then it took a bit for the bartender to get to me and wouldn't want or seem to make conversation at all. It was kind of rude. I order a bloody and it was awful i asked her what mix she used and she said what ever they put in this jug! Well you as a bartender should know whats in your mix! and then when i asked for zing zing just plain she said she couldn't, but the last bartender did!.. So i settled for a beer. As i sat her watching her she continuously played with her hair and was biting her nails and then touching food WITH OUT WASHING HER HANDS!!!! That is just GROSS! the food was good and i like the coleslaw... but it took forever to get a beer I after watching her eat off others plates and chewing her fingers and everything I just ask for my bill. BUT WHAT REALLY TICKED ME OFF was the fact that she shorted me on my change and SHE KNEW SHE DID IT! I work as a bartender and that is NOT OKAY AT ALL EVER!!! even if its by a few cents she does that to everyone then she makes good tips. her attitude and not being friendly makes me not want to come back and on top of it i wrote to y'all on Facebook privately and it was seen and never got a response back which means you dont give a crap so with that then i dont either! read more
