But I was pleasantly surprised by the food too. I got the cheeseburger sliders which were really good. Moist, tasty, and the perfect size for a slider. I ordered fries on the side and wasn't expecting the portion size. They gave an entire basket of fries that easily could have fed the party of four adults I was there with. Crispy, flavorful, loved them. The cheese curds were also great, paired with a sauce recommended by the bartender. I wish I could remember what it was, definitely some type of sweet/salty almost teriyaki sauce. So, so good. I don't drink alcohol much so I can't comment on the drinks but everyone we were there with seemed to enjoy them. So much so, they ordered several. Great vibes here. They had the front window open for a beautiful sixty degree day. Music was on. Everyone there both staff and other customers were all really nice and we had a great time. Turns out our bartender was the owner of the bar and he was just fantastic. Attentive but not overly so. I'd recommend this place if you're looking for a great place for a drink and a bite to eat.

Everything seems to be up at least 10% all over, so I can't fault them for it. I just wish income had gone up that much in a year. Again not their control. But I just can't go eating at restaurants as much. The price of 6.75 for a dog fish beer was imo kinda high and it was rather flat. The coleslaw was honestly so bad and bitter rancid tasting I had to spit it out. Honestly, not a fan of Cole slaw but this is the first I've had to 100% reject eating. The pickle I got that someone raved about, didn't look great when I turned it over The fries honestly could have been cooked a little more but were pretty good. The best part of the meal was the burger though so that sorta saved the whole experience. I sat on the patio and got good service. I appreciated that the to-go wasn't styrofoam. I had to take 1/2 the burger home. There is a 3% surcharge for using credit cards, so I was glad I brought cash, as I'm tired of getting charged for charging. Ha. Overall not bad, but could use some attention to detail.

It was a Wednesday evening, and while the restaurant was busy, it wasn't overly crowded. Unfortunately, our experience didn't meet our expectations. I ordered a raspberry cosmopolitan martini, and when it arrived, there were two ants floating in it. I politely asked for a new drink and even apologized for having to send it back. From my seat, I watched the bartender pour the drink back into the shaker, give it another shake, and pour it into a clean glass. I should have said something, but after already feeling uncomfortable about returning it, I didn't. In the end, I didn't drink it because the way it was handled left me uneasy, and it honestly didn't taste very good. The appetizers were delicious, but we had to ask for plates and napkins because they weren't brought to the table. When our entrees arrived, they were placed on the table before the appetizer dishes were cleared, leaving very little room until we asked for them to be removed. The food itself was good overall. My husband really enjoyed his bison burger. When we asked for a box to take home the rest of his burger, coleslaw, and my leftover fries, we were given a container that was far too small to fit everything. Service throughout the meal was disappointing. Our water glasses were never refilled, and our server rarely checked on us. It appeared she was very attentive to guests she knew, while we felt largely overlooked. I completely understand that restaurants have busy nights, but every guest should feel welcomed and receive the same level of service. We truly wanted to enjoy our first visit because the location and waterfront views are beautiful. Unfortunately, the combination of the drink issue and the lack of attentive service overshadowed the evening. We left disappointed and, sadly, don't see ourselves returning.

The only problem is that they don't always have it, and that's a shame as I think if word got around d about how awesome it is, they would get more orders. It's hit and miss when they have it, so if you're craving a hood turkey burger, call ahead to make sure they have it. As for me, their burgers are not to be missed. They are plenty juicy and flavorful. The fries (at least the first time I had them) were both crispy outside and fluffy potato inside. Today, however, they were soft and limp. I ordered the cheese for dipping and it was watery and flavorless. Such a bummer. I also had their buffalo chicken ranch sandwich. It was lifeless. The chicken was rubbery, and the bacon tasteless. It was a waste of bacon (and I don't say that lightly). My wife had the chicken parm sandwich and again, the chicken was rubbery. Maybe we should have stuck with burgers? Alas, she could not ad they didn't have the turkey burgers. I say stick with their burgers and maybe ask for the fries well done.

Second, what a cool building (see my pic!) Great views of the pond and waterfall, if that's your thing. Bridge, pond, patio and landscaping are nice. And that's just the outside. Inside, find multiple sports TVs, and a well-stocked illuminated bar, also with TVs. I found the tables well stocked with six kinds of sauces if you want to season your meal. But the bar, sauces and TVs don't dominate. The food does. At first I thought the menu was pricey. BUT for $13 you can get just the BBQ meat-- I decided to try the BBQ pulled pork. For $17 you can get two sides along with that and it's a platter. I needed me some sides, so I ordered the platter. I chose Smoked Gouda Mac & Cheese and the bacon and brussel sprouts. When I received my meal: Mind. Blown. The pulled pork portion is easily at least a pound of meat or possibly more. No joke. The sides were easily 1 lb. of food each. Brussels sprouts BBQ'd to perfection with a generous supply bacon mixed in. On the Gouda Mac & Cheese side, I appreciated that instead of the boring mac & cheese noodles, they used cavatappi pasta. Nice touch! MMMmmm on my entire meal!!! If you want leftovers, it's totally possible. Or come here hungry. Try out the hidden gem, because it's great!
