Well organized ride, two couples + two guides did the 2-hr Ride for $110/pp. Trail horses are dead broke and very careful where they walk. The first hour was on forest trails with slight inclines & declines. Anyone can do it even if you've never ridden before. Second half of ride was mostly walking upstream then downstream in a slow flowing river. Horses seemed to really enjoy this as it zigzagged up about 1/4 mile. You will really enjoy this relaxing ride & recommend you spend the extra $$ for the 2hr. You won't be disappointed, here's some pics, cheers and thanks. We recently visited this area and went horse riding. We did the 1 hour mountain trail. it was okay , lots of up and down . The horses were great and the people were nice but it was strange that there was no proper business area where you pay and sign the paperwork like we have been used to with other stables we have visited in the past. It was just a picnic table. Also during the ride our guide was watching her phone the whole time . And when the time came that we stopped in the trail and she was offering the horses a treat, she offered them peppermint candy she hand in her purse. Then she for warned us that this would make the horses gassy. I don't understand why she would give them this! Then when our ride was over our horses went straight to look for water from their buckets and they were completely empty. I don't understand how on our whole hour ride no one could have water ready for them for when we got back. read more

It was our 1st time here, the tips about how to lead the horses was nice and easy for beginners and seasonal riders. I was a little apprehensive at 1st, but once I got on LuLu, i was ok. I took our family of 6 there for my husband's birthday, and we did the river trail. It was so cool! The people were great the horses were great. They did a really good job at letting us know what yo do and when we needed to do it. The owners and workers were above and beyond amazing! I wanted to do the mountain trail as soon as we were done! I came here on Saturday with my friend and was so impressed at the start. There is an older lady that you fill your paperwork out with and she is a really really sweet which is why I hate to leave this review. BUT that's about where things stopped being fun. The granddaughter of the owner is TOTALLY out of control and I don't mean that lightly. I was smack dab in the middle of the pack of everyone. The guide at the front was yelling at me half the time saying stuff I couldn't hear and the granddaughter in the back was absolutely SCREAMING at me the other half. I have never been so embarrassed in my life and in front of total strangers!!! PLEASE understand that the person smack dab in the middle cannot hear ANYTHING you are saying and just understands that you're screaming. Halfway through the ride in the river where we had all stopped, I decided to stretch my legs a bit and in front of the entire group the granddaughter screams at me not to do what I'm doing because I am going to fall off my horse. I am a 34 year old grown woman who is capable of balancing on a horse. I said back to her, I'm fine I have it under control and she then held up her hands at her friend and made a choking sign like she wanted to choke me out. At what business would this not be a fireable offense? That girl not only shouldn't be working there, but really shouldn't be working ANYWHERE that she has to deal with people. I cannot believe I paid $110 to be completely berated in front of 8 other people. I should have asked for my money back that day but was so upset I didn't even know what words to say. read more

This was an amazing experience. Great for beginners or seasoned riders. I did the two hour ride ($100 per person). Half was on the trail and the other half in the river. Guides are very informative about each horse and give you basic instructions about how to ride. Very solid horses that make it easy. Tip your guide! They deserve it. So I went here yesterday. The guide that we had was very nice! But the owners grand daughter was a rude little snatch. I was going to return to do the 2 hr tour later this week but I'm not because of that grand daughter say something else rude it's gonna be a problem . MUST READ BEFORE YOU GO ON A RIDE. I was at this stable today and when I tell you I have never seen something like this I mean it. I walked into the barn looked at all of the horses, I saw broken hoofs, bruises where their saddles have been, rotten halter marks from them never taking off their halters, there was absolutely no water to be found. I had to find a bucket and a hose and I gave all of the horses water... They acted like they had never seen water before. Absolutely upsetting. The horses never got a break in between rides, after Hours of riding up and down steep hills there was never a 5 minute break nor was there a water break all day. As I walked threw the barn I saw a foal ( a baby horse) who was 3-4 months old. I saw she had no gotten up so I went over to her to move her cuz her hoof was stuck underneath the barn fence, she did not flinch one bit, I felt her legs to see if they felt out of place or broken and she did not move one bit. ( which is a bad thing for a horse to do) I tried to give the baby water but she wouldn't even sit up straight to drink. I told the owner about the horse and she began to tell me that the horse is always so tired. I asked them what veterinarian they used and they said they never had one come out and that they were always healthy. Another one of the horses I had seen looked like it Had an issue with its back, everything I pressed over the dented spot it hurt him badly... but yet that horse was still used all day to trail ride. After I talked to the owner about everything I saw, he bribed me for a free 2 hr river ride. After I said no I don't want a free ride, he called me mouthy for speaking up about the abuse they were doing. absolutely so upsetting to see. They expect travelers who don't know what they are looking at to come to the barn and pay to ride horses they are NOT taking care of. Not this time. So Upsetting.... read more

Can't wait to go back! My family and I did the 2 hour ride (thru the water and woods). It was a great experience. Tammy was our guide and did a great job ensuring that we had fun but always stayed safe. She did a great job letting us know what was coming up on the trails and how to tackle the road ahead. She was so patient and ensured that our 8 year old son had a good time and remained comfortable. The horses were so well taken care of (which is super important to me). We made last minute reservations for 3 people on a Tuesday morning and they were happy to accommodate us. Even when we arrived 30 minutes late (we had trouble with the printed map directions from their website and didn't have a cell signal to get GPS), they were still happy to get us on the trail. We took the 2 hour ride through the mountain and river and had a blast. Tammy our guide was extremely friendly and informative about every horses' unique quirks to be aware of. So it would be fine for beginners or more advanced riders that are ok just walking. The river part was really quite fun. Great deal for a 2 hour ride. I can't say enough about this adventure! The horses were beautifully groomed. The stable was so clean and beautiful. And the staff...amazing. We had a 10 year old and a 7 year old with us. Our 7 year old had never even sat on a horse before. They gave the kids instructions and were so kind and caring with them. Our wonderful trail guide, April, tethered our 7 year old "cowboy" and led him the whole way. So much fun. We loved it and would go back in a heartbeat. This was a great riding stable for a family activity. We had 9 people with 4 adults and 5 kids ranging in age from 5-12. We did the 1-hour Trail Ride, which was the perfect amount of time for our group. A few of the kids were a little nervous, but "Tammy", our guide, was great with them! This trail ride was amazing! As a yankee English rider, I was highly skeptical, but the horses were great, in good weight, very well behaved, and the river ride was a great experience I'd never had before. Everyone at the farm was in good spirits and very friendly. They told us what we needed to know without overwhelming us. Our trail guide made our time in the saddle fun, and she hopped off to get group pictures on our own cameras. I can't say enough good things about these people.
