I spoke with the manager before I went because I wanted to know if they were selling the whole filet or pieces and he informed me I would be satisfied and happy with the fish sub. I stopped by this location on a busy Saturday evening after leaving the Adventure Island water park close by. I was pleasantly surprised to see that in their menu was an order for fried snapper with French fries. They also have fried shrimp and yellow rice on the menu. We ordered all that and red velvet cake and strawberry cheesecake. Everything tasted delicious. Delicious! The location is a little run down. The service is good though. I've been back twice now and the food has been great twice! Seasoning is good and the oil that the food is fried in is clean. The parking lot is small and can get a little hectic but worth the visit. Great food here! I had a take out today and when I visitors last year, I did the same. Really fresh food, nice employees and market is clean. You can purchase seafood to cook at home or the restaurant will cook it for you. If you love seafood and seafood pasta, this is your place. They also have a variety of cakes for dessert. I ordered the fried conch and fries. I didn't eat any of the fries, but the conch was delicious and really tender. I was a little upset because they didn't have conch sauce. They had target sauce and ketchup if you wanted any. Not sure why they didn't make any, but life goes on. I will visit again if I'm here in town. There is no meat in their crab cakes. It's just a bunch of Seafood stuffing I tried to call the restaurant once I got home and cut Into the crab cake and got no answer. I called the next day and spoke with the manager who told me to bring the crab cake back because he needed to make sure it came from his restaurant and I took a picture to show and I was only refunded for half of my order which was two crab cakes. I was told because I didn't bring the other one back. I could not be refunded hands-down for their crab cakes it's just a bunch of seafood stuffing and the manager needs to work on his customer service skills with paying customers it doesn't really matter because you're the owner of the company. This is a very casual seafood restaurant and market, where you order your meal at the counter from a menu with pictures overhead, pick it up at the counter, and eat at a handful of tables and booths. There's also a case filled with fresh seafood, including fish, blue crabs, and snow crabs. I ordered food off the menu and ate there, but I would not hesitate to order something from the market, as the case was right next to the counter, and there was no fishy seafoody smell at all, which to me means clean and fresh. There are very few restaurants that serve up smoked mullet, and when I read they had them here, I had to have it. It was a tad strange having the mullet served on a pizza box, but it was big, and I did say it was very casual dining. It was so big, I only ate half of it, plus coleslaw. It actually was the largest serving of mullet I ever had, and when I made that comment to the who I assumed was the owner, he said they are usually far bigger, but that's what was available to him this week. I took half a fish home to make some smoked fish spread. My friend ordered the fried shrimp and clam strip platter, which included fries. The shrimp were very lightly battered and cooked perfectly.
