Great Vet and doggie daycare. They really care about the animals that go there. Prices are a tad high but it's still a pretty great place.

Great doctors who care for your pets. Excellent, knowledgeable vet techs who go out of their way to…read morebe helpful. And the clerks at the front desk manning the phones, appointments, and customers at the counter are phenomenally patient, friendly, and helpful with my issues. They bend over backwards to help me when I get snared with computer problems when I try to order pet supplies. (I am computer incompetent.) They are all just fantastic!

I'm told his son comes in one or day days per week. I assume to pick up the money. To make sure I'm clear I'll use an outline format. My 1st and last visit to Hick Veterinarian Rocky Mount NC 13 April 2026 am My male dog had a 2.5 inch lump on chest and had stopped eating,partly blocked. 11 April 2023. I was told I needed to run these test...(see my unfinished bill picture...at Hicks!) I was told the lump on his chest would cost thousands of dollar to remove and there was no connection to the lump on his chest and the blockage.(100% WRONG!!!) Said for $500 your not going to do anything to help my dog? Should I try muralax?(already done green bean & coconut oil) THEY did absolutely nothing to help my dog! NOTHING! Except tell me what I already knew,no worms...(See my bill screen) Monday 13 April 2026 I take a picture of the lump on his chest,upload it to AI. Says it's an large abscess he needs to see a Veterinarian ASAP or he will die...Already been 5 days not eating...I'm force watering & broth...I tell AI I went to Hicks Clinic in Rocky Mount NC and for $527.00 they did nothing to help my animal. Told AI I was military with battlefield medical training and a full med pack including surgery tools and not expired antibiotics. AI told me where to cut an incession and how to drain and flush with saline...With in 3 hours he was eating soft foods and stooled...Before that I was picking my dog up to carry him outside. Next day lite walking at the farm...Flushing twice a day and antibiotics...Day 4 he's on solid food and almost back to 100% If I had listed to Hicks ( nobody their by that name when I was there I asked for Hicks the man with the great reviews!) MY DOG WOULD HAVE DIED (5) DAYS AFTER SEEING THIS 5 STAR VET AND PAYING $527.00 FOR ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! Don't be fooled by these Google reviews Pure Talk and maybe Hicks Pays Google to remove negative reviews. Most times you can see the TRUTH on BBB reviews...HICKS HAS NO BBB REVIEWS

To Whom It May Concern,…read more I am submitting this formal complaint regarding my experience with Dogtopia's handling of my adopted dog during multiple visits and boarding stays. Across these interactions, I observed repeated communication inconsistencies, a lack of transparency regarding incidents, and increasingly unprofessional conduct toward my pet. Records show staff provided conflicting explanations about my dog's behavior and condition. At times, I was told my dog was "great overnight," while at other times staff described him as "grumpy," "snappy," "overstimulated," or involved in behavioral incidents. There were also discrepancies regarding the cause of my dog's limp and paw injury. These inconsistencies created confusion and concern regarding the accuracy of incident reporting, staff supervision, and the overall handling of my pet. Communications frequently came across as defensive and dismissive of my concerns rather than providing clear, professional, and collaborative updates. I am concerned my dog was unfairly labeled as aggressive while staff simultaneously acknowledged he was placed in overstimulating and crowded environments without access to calmer accommodations. This raises concerns that environmental management and supervision may have contributed to the reported incidents. Additionally, some staff communications became excessive and distressing, feeling accusatory and intimidating rather than compassionate or solution-oriented. As the owner of an adopted pet, I expected consistent, professional care and respectful communication. I respectfully request the following actions: Conduct a formal review of how my pet was managed while in Dogtopia's care. Review staff communication practices and incident reporting procedures for consistency and accuracy. Provide clarification regarding the conflicting explanations concerning my dog's injury and behavior. Ensure fair and professional treatment for all customers and adopted pets, free from bias, intimidation, or unnecessary escalation. Take appropriate corrective actions to improve transparency, accountability, and customer relations moving forward. This complaint is supported by documented text communications from Dogtopia staff describing the incidents, behavioral assessments, injury explanations, and subsequent interactions. I appreciate your time and attention to this matter and request that this complaint be formally documented and reviewed.
